- Yasith (3/5): Not worth the price we paid — we would not recommend this property and would have preferred to stay - The beds were surprisingly comfortable and we slept well. The location was decent with Yotsugi Station close by, which made getting around Tokyo manageable. There were unfortunately a lot of issues that made the stay uncomfortable. Some bed sheets had visible stains, including what looked like blood. The flooring near the bathroom felt unstable, almost like it could collapse at any moment. The bathroom and toilets were not clean, and the shower/bathtub drain constantly filled with old gunk that needed to be cleared before using it. There was no proper mirror for shaving — the small mirror provided was on the floor, meaning I had to squat to use it. I’m 5’9” and wasn’t able to shave properly until returning home. The bathroom is right next to the kitchen, which made cooking and bathroom use inconvenient. The vacuum provided barely worked, so we couldn’t maintain basic cleanliness during the stay. The towels smelled very bad, and with no washing machine or dryer in the property we weren’t able to clean them. The nearest laundromat was a 5–10 minute walk, which became frustrating when carrying laundry. The general condition of the property also felt poorly maintained — windows, doors, and certain surfaces looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. For the price we paid, we expected at least a basic level of cleanliness and functionality. There was also no parking available nearby which made things more difficult. Overall, the property needs a lot of attention and improvements before it can justify the price. If possible, I would have asked for a refund and I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend it to anyone at this stage.
- Brandon (10/5): Cozy. - It’s in a great location, quiet neighborhood, great amenities nearby, and the train station is about a 5 minute walk and will have you in downtown in less than 15 minutes. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, laundry is a 1 minute walk. House is a typical Japanese design so it’s not super energy efficient. Was a cold week while we were there and the downstairs heater has trouble keeping up during the colder parts of the day.
