• Alexia (7/5): good enough - glad they changed the carpet to wood, feels more clean. mattress is pretty wonky and areas not great but for the price it’s ok
• Richard (1/5): - Good communication and instructions from the owners. Hair from previous guests in the bathroom, on the sink, the floor, which got onto the bed. Shower curtain was covered in mold. Very hot and stuffy, there is a fan but no proper air conditioning. It's not even summer so I certainly wouldn't want to stay here during the hot months. Very uncomfortable mattress, not good for my back. Metal bed frame but just 2 thin pillows so not comfortable to sit up.

• Sam (2/5): Bad - Mattress was the worst thing I’ve ever slept on, super cheap and didn’t fit the bed frame properly. Bathroom was mouldy and the window didn’t keep any sound out. The room next door was so audible that I could hear the couple whispering during sex like they were in the same room as me

Needs a new mattress the bed, had a dip in the middle was not comfy. The blinds were broken and did not cover the window properly.

The rooms were filthy and the bed was unstable we left after 30 minutes it was disgusting and falsely represented in images and rating on booking.com I informed the host and they suggested I contact booking.com for a refund, however the customer service option will not recognise my confirmation number!

• Clavero Fajardo (7/5): Ubicación y zona perfecta, habitación mejorable. - Me gustó la ubicación y que tenía calefacción, no pasabas frío en la habitación. El suelo de la habitación fue una experiencia un tanto extraña, estaba como pegajoso por lo que tuvimos que comprar unas chanclas para poder caminar en ellas o con calcetines. Lo mismo para el baño, habían manchas que no se sabía si era por viejo o por sucio, y las sábanas de la cama, las que se veían bien pero cuando deshacías la cama para hacerla las sábanas por debajo tenían manchas.

• P (9/5): Great value - Place was amazing for the price, we booked just for one night as we went to the club and it was perfect as the roads were quieter by the time we got back late. Was clean and was great for the price it did remind me of student houses, and the external bathroom is nothing to worry about it was all secure for the room you are staying in. (I was also worried about the verification with ID through WhatsApp but it was all legit and they were very responsive) Great place would recommend, the only thing I will say it is not 100% like the photos but still similar however it was still really nice, the bed was squeaky every time we moved even a little bit but still great for a night and could hear the footsteps upstairs but it didnt bother us at all as we were out most of the time.

We stayed in the roo - Clean room and kitchen, fan provided No bin in the bathroom, disappointed to see used sanitary pads in kitchen bin, very small window, room ambience was not as shown in the picture
• Vic (2/5): Bed bugs - The hotel was close to a high street which had a late-opening coffee shop, a mini-mart and a couple of takeaways, so I had easy access to food while I stayed. Beg bugs. The mattress in the bedroom was extremely old, the springs had pretty much collapsed with a permanent divot in the middle, but actually that probably saved me - it was so uncomfortable I didn't sleep easily, which meant I was awake enough to notice when a couple of fat little bed bugs crawled out from their hiding place and started creeping towards me. Unfortunately arrival is completely contactless - the location appears to be entirely unstaffed aside from whoever presumably turns up to clean and change bedding, so there was nothing I could do to change rooms by the time the issue became obvious. At that point I kind of just stayed awake, sat up in the little plastic chair the room had, showered to stop my brain from telling me I was itchy, and left at 5am rather than stay any longer than I needed to. I took video footage of the bugs and one photo, but I believe I can only upload photos with reviews. The entrance also really didn't feel very safe. It was an unmarked door in the back end of a building down a narrow, cobbled alleyway. The door had a pin code lock to open it, but there is literally no pavement so you're standing on a cobbled street that has take-away bikes running up and down it constantly, and has random groups of men just sort of... hanging about? Felt very exposed coming and going.

• Dominiq (7/5): I had a pleasant stay, at this well located and clean place! - I liked how accessible and simple it was to get to and get in. I was shown the way constantly. I really appreciated that. The room was clean and warm. Maybe too warm! Kitchen was in good shape all considering. And the minimal furnishing worked well. I think the bathroom was relatively clean but needs some renovation. I think a bit of investment needs to go into removing a little bit of the mold. I think the matt could be replaced , and the vinyl floor to be redone. However, still good!

• pedralgeciras (5/5): Buena ubicación pero los COLCHONES HAY QUE CAMBIARLOS URGENTEMENTE - Está en un sitio tranquilo y bien comunicado con los metros varias paradas de metro a menos de 10 minutos de distancia. La verdad que puede que fuera porque estábamos en la última planta, que no notamos la presencia de otros huéspedes. También sólo estuvimos para dormir, llegando tarde y levantándonos temprano. Lo peor de lo peor de lo peor......los colchones. Es de vergüenza que un alojamiento que se lucra de ello tenga los colchones en ese estado. Te tumbas en la cama y el colchón se hunde por todos los lados. Es URGENTE que cambien los colchones, porque en la espalda se resiente. Por otro lado, la nevera estaba apagada y tenía en su interior un bote de leche a medio terminar y un dulce en estado de descomposición, y en el armario, una toalla usada de otro huésped, así que debería hacer una revisión más exhaustiva en la limpieza.

Purtroppo la stanza è completamente senza protezione per rumori e si sente tutto sia da fuori che dal piano di sopra. Se non siete giovani/ tolleranti lasciate stare
• GigiTro (5/5): - Posizione ottima, vicina a metro Stepney green e anche alla fermata bus. Letto comodo. Le foto mostrate sono totalmente diverse da quella che poi è stata la stanza consegnataci. Scale all’ingresso super strette e ripide. Pulizia da rivedere, ma tutto sommato per il prezzo pagato, è passabile.
• Benincasa (1/5): Esperienza terribile. - Niente. La location non era buona come in descrizione. Il posto è difficile da trovare e in una via che a tratti fa anche paura, buia e sporca. Il peggio è quando entri: niente di ció che vedi nelle foto somiglia alla realtà. Un posto trascurato e soprattutto sporco. Avevamo le lenzuola sporche di sangue, gli asciugamani sporchi, macchie di sangue sulla carta igienica, polvere e capelli altrui ovunque, il pavimento era pieno di capelli. Esperienza veramente terribile. E non ho mai incontrato nessuno dello staff. Sconsiglio vivamente

La camera sembrava abbastanza pulita, ma la sorpresa è arrivata la sera: aprendo il letto abbiamo trovato tantissimi peli e capelli tra le lenzuola. Una scena davvero disgustosa. Abbiamo dovuto contattare il proprietario, che per fortuna è intervenuto, ma una situazione del genere è semplicemente inaccettabile. Il letto dovrebbe essere la prima cosa pulita in una stanza.

• K (1/5): Not worth the price - The cleaners are nice I stayed at room 204 - BED IS ABSOLUTELY BAD HORIBBLE. Mattress due to be changed 10yrs ago!!! Bed is very low. I developed back pain staying there in 8 days. There was only 2 very thin smelly pillows. The bed in the other room creaks sooooo loud and the floors too even with small/lil movements - it’s horrendous I cannot sleep even with earplugs!!! The floors need proper renovation!!! The chair in the room is a cheap plastic very uncomfortable chair! No coffee maker jn the room. No microwave so you have to go down all the way to the kitchen to make a simple tea!!!! Doesn’t help when the bed, floors and the walls are sooooo thin will disturb you and other people with the noise!!! And No TV in the rooms! Why??! Shower leaks, shower curtain dirty needs changed! Room blind is broken so I cannot pull up/down for sunlight. Kitchen has no proper pots, no frying pan, i had to buy my own cutting knife. The chairs in the kitchen is older than me when you sit you get sucked in!!! And the auto light keeps cutting off every 2/3mins you cannot sit on the table in peace cos you have to stand up to trigger the lights to turn back on!!! I stayed 8 days but no offer to clean the room or change my beddings. Definitely Not worth the price I paid!!! I should be offered 50% refund

• Sjanne (4/5): Too hot and too loud, don’t stay here - The room was pretty spacious and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed including a private fridge. The check in instructions were clear. We shouldve listened to the reviews because the room is very hot and very loud. Both from the rooms above us, you hear everything super loud, and the street outside. Scooters, cars and loud people pass by and from the sound of it they might as well be in your room. The noise only died down after about 4 am. We both only slept around 2 hours here. If you open the window for some air because the room is so hot, the noise gets worse. If you close your window its a sauna. This might be better during winter. But for us never again. Also theres no employees on site ever. All contact is through WhatsApp or phone and it takes a while to get a response.
• Gemma (6/5): - The location was perfect for us as we attended a festival in Victoria park. The rooms were clean and the cleaner let us in an hour early so we could make it to the festival on time. Communication from the host prior to check in was great and we were given detailed instructions on how to get in. The rooms are not as pictured anymore. The bed in room 204 was horrendous! Its clearly broken and worn out. The shower stand was broken in 204 so we just had to hold the shower head over ourselves. The separate bathroom for room 104 didnt lock which wasnt the best considering other guests could easily walk in whilst you were showering. The place just needs some TLC for the price we felt abit let down but was fine for the sake of one night to get our heads down for a few hours.

• Joan (7/5): - Very convenient location and a full bath. The room also had a fridge and ventilator, very practical for the heat wave. Good comfortable sized space too. The bed was missing pieces so there were holes in the matrass, very uncomfortable to sleep on :(

• Kerry (1/5): Absolutely awful - Nothing Awful location, it was down a dark alley which was lined with rubbish and graffiti. Wasn’t close to anything you would want to see or do while visiting London. The room didn’t have a kettle like it said it would. The whole place was so dirty, the carpets were covered in stains, the bathroom had mould, the shower curtain had hairs on it and there were holes in the bathroom wall which had just been filled in with toilet paper. It was so bad that we only stayed 1 out of the 3 nights we had booked. On the very first night we booked another hotel and moved the following morning.

• Thao (7/5): Okay stay but extremely hot - Location was great - close to the underground and city center. The staff was very friendly and replied fast when needed. Kitchen was well equipped and bathroom was nice as well. It was way too hot and we couldn't do anything about it. Even at night we tried to open the windows but didn't help. It is also quite noisy outside but we didn't mind that too much. Would not recommend when travelling in summer and if you are a light sleeper. Also we had trouble with opening the door for about 20 minutes but the staff helped right away.

• Denis (4/5): Room needs updating - Self checking was good. Location is also good. Mattress is a disaster and should have been replaced 10 years ago. You can feel mattress springs poking you when you lay down. TV was also missing, although the room description says it is there. Roller blind cord was not attached to the blind. The wardrobe handle was broken. The room should be painted years ago. This room is not on the pictures advertised on Booking. I wonder why?

• Fauzia (4/5): Would not be visiting again - The location was only good because it is local to stations and lots of shops. The actual stay is hard to find and not appealing. Had our own bathroom even though it wasn’t appealing either The rooms don’t look anything like the picture I was so disappointed. It is boiling hot in these rooms even in the cold weather I felt too much heat. There were no curtains, just broken blinds and it was hard to open windows. Felt very claustrophobic in the rooms. Weren’t given enough towels during my stay. Bathroom isn’t very appealing.

• Lou (6/5): Pleasant - Location - close to 2 tubes and walking distance to Troxy venue. Good communication from host with self check in details. Amazing coffee place just up the road and access to lots of convenience stores etc. kitchenette (although we didn’t use) The room didn’t really look like the photos and was disappointing for the price we paid. Blind was broken and bed was really uncomfortable, can see now that this has been mentioned in previous reviews. The shower head holder was broken so had to hold, was ok for one night but the least I’d expect for a room is a semi-comfortable bed. (The mattress is sunken and you can almost feel the frame underneath). The location is down an alley and felt a bit unsafe (saw people using it as a toilet and smashing glasses etc down there in the day) and is noisy throughout the night. If you get a cheap room rate it probably wouldn’t seem too bad, but there are other ‘chain’ hotel options on the high street which were cheaper and probably would have gotten a better experience and some sleep!

The room faces a street that is busy most of the night with takeaway delivery scooters and people shouting, this makes it impossible to sleep. The general appearance of the interior and upkeep of some things like window blinds (don’t work) need improving. The photos make it feel a nicer place.

We were happy to find: fridge, hairdryer, fan, chair, table, wardrobe and toilet products. The mattress and bed in general. Poor choice of pillows and bedding. The mattress was the worst part: old and uncomfortable with broken springs. Not a good sleep unfortunately. The room is not sound insulated as well.
