• Claudia (8/5): Lugar maravilhoso, casa espetacular, silêncio d tranquilidade singulares. Requer um pouco mais de atenção dos proprietár - Gostamos de tudo há muito conforto boa limpeza . Por motivos quaisquer Nso podemos abrir as janelas…. Falta um frigobar uma vez que a pousada só oferece o café da manhã sem estrutura para outras refeições.
• Desi (9/5): Highly recommend - Beautiful boutique Colonial hotel in a quiet area of Cartagena old quarter. Beautifully decorated, helpful staff, delicious breakfast, plunge pool, roof terrace. Lovely . Would have liked a coffee machine in room. Early birds will have to wait.
• Adam (10/5): - Staff were lovely, hotel was so calm away from the noise and business but still a short walk from everything within the old town. Bed was really comfortable, hot water in the shower. Breakfast was amazing every day. The decoration and ambience of the hotel was really calm. Honestly everything was amazing Water from the tap for the sink in the bathroom could come out scolding hot at times which took us by surprise every time
• James (10/5): Wonderful Boutique Hotel, wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Cartagena - Everything. It is charming, relaxing and immediately welcoming on arrival. For a small boutique hotel it has lots of delightful communal areas to relax. Is in a wonderful location inside the old city. Its main dinning/living room is magnificent. And above all, the Staff are simply wonderful. Nothing… even with a 12 hour power cut/no water, Staff were brilliant in making sure we were fed and comfortable.

Exceptional property, service, attention to detail, comfort, amazing staff, rooftop patio with great view and jacuzzi, great breakfast, decor, fantastic location on one of the most photographed streets in old Cartagena. Quiet! The best hotel we stayed during our trip to Colombia! Can’t think of anything!

• Lindsey (9/5): Peaceful, clean and charming hotel - Gorgeous boutique hotel on a quiet part of the street in the historic center/walled city of Cartagena. Clean and refreshing little pool, gorgeous old house/hotel, beautiful and comfortable room and tastefully decorated. The staff were so lovely, communicative and helpful - they do a wonderful job.

• Juliet (10/5): A wonderful, romantic, gorgeous stay - Casa Don Sancho was an absolutely beautiful place to stay in Cartagena. We traveled here for our honeymoon and loved how gorgeous the property was, and how intimate it was. We stayed in the suite on the first floor and you could walk right out to the pool, and hear the rain in the courtyard- it was amazing. The house is on a quiet block as well but just two blocks away from shops and the bustle of the city. We could not recommend the property more! The staff was great and worked around our language barrier- setting up welcome flowers, champagne and snacks for us upon arrival, and coordinating drivers for us when needed. Everyone was friendly but never overbearing- it truly feels like you are renting a house of your own. The house is an old historic property so don’t be surprised by squeaky old doors, or water that doesn’t heat up quickly- it’s part of the charm!

Shout out to Kelly and the whole staff for arranging an incredible stay. The property is immaculate and so well located by the sea. The rooftop is gorgeous. Make sure to take a boat out and go to the beach club. Far surpassed all expectation. 11/10!

• Matthew (9/5): More like a private villa with personal team (with a few extra guests staying) than a hotel! - The property is wonderfully charming, well maintained, stylish and intimate (it is truly boutique) - the small number of rooms and high quality of the property is what you are paying for. As it is very small it does not maintain a number of facilities that a hotel would have (e.g. no gym, no concierge, no business centre, there is no permanent doorman you ring to be let in) but I found the hotel and its management went out of its way to make up for absence of these things with open ended service: if they could make it happen they would! After my speaking with them they set up tailored arrangements for me including an English language whatsapp group "virtual concierge" to help me access Cartagena and its delights despite the fact I have zero Spanish language capacity (restaurant bookings for myself and friends, tours, tastings, even sorting postage stamps and dropping off post cards, nipping into town to scan an urgent document etc - these are real examples I can testify to). From my experience, Casa Don Sancho wanted every guest to have the perfect visit - and not a single member of staff forgets your name or ever fails to smile and make you feel safe, welcome and important. Rarely to I rate a property this high - well done to the team at Casa Don Sancho! See comments above - because this is a genuinely boutique property some facilities were not present but from my experience the staff well and truly made up for it with an exceptional level of service that founds solutions to the absence of some facilities. Perhaps the one outstanding item: if it were possible to introduce a room for gym/ fitness purposes (may not be space for this).

• Sarah (10/5): Gorgeous, romantic historical stay in Cartagena! - The Casa Don Sancho was a gorgeous, romantic stay in Cartagena. Tucked away on a quieter street right by the seawall, it has a perfect location for exploring Old Town Cartagena but away from any noise. The house itself is gorgeous, with luxurious rooms and unique touches. The breakfast was simple and delicious. We loved the view from the rooftop and the pool as well! Nothing, the Casa Don Sancho was perfect.
