Guest Reviews
- Melissa (9/5): A beautiful family friendly getaway that you can share with your fur babies - I loved the location, Ben was a fantastic host. Super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We got caught at a creek crossing and he came to our rescue. His property is beautiful. The facilities in the tiny home were very disappointing. The Weber bbq had melted plastic on the grill so we couldn’t use that. We had to put the cast iron frypan on top to cook. The single electric hot plate doesn’t work it turns on then show an error code and shuts off. You need to supply a wheely bin or 56L bin for rubbish. You tell the guest they will be charged for cleaning then only supply 1 chux wipe, no multi purpose cleaner, or large rubbish bags.
And I asked for the sofa bed to be made up in previous messages and this was not done.
I also think you need to change how you advertise the property. It’s beautiful but it’s not private. It’s a family friendly getaway. Not a couples retreat. You have families camping right beside you with dogs off leads. Generators going all night. We paid $30 per dog to have them there, they were on leads the whole time, but none of the campers had their dogs on leads.
- Tatiana (9/5): Lovely getaway & chill place - Cosy and well looked after tiny house in relaxing location
- Michelle (6/5): Not what we expected.. - My family and I planned a road trip up north to see family. With over 2000kms to travel this stop was one we were most looking forward to, to rest and recover from our journey.
We enjoyed the quiet location, the comfy beds and the unique style of the tiny home. Unfortunately, on arrival, it seemed the room wasn't ready for us — there was no water in the cassette toilet, and no linen set up for the third adult using the spare bed (even after confirming all these details prior to arrival). The freezer was in desperate need of a defrost so we couldn't put anything in there to chill. We also couldn’t adjust the air conditioner (even the host had trouble), which made for a very warm night. Additionally, the cupboard with the appliances was quite messy inside, so the standard of cleanliness was a little disappointing.
I had booked the room a few months in advance and confirmed some details prior to arrival to allow for a smoother stay. .
For the amount we paid for the room I did expect a little more.
- lauren (10/5): - Beautiful accomodation! Owners were easy to communicate with, friendly and welcoming. The cutest little getaway!!

- Laura (10/5): Excellent get away in a peaceful, beautiful countryside location - Welcoming and friendly host, beautiful property and gorgeous tiny house. We really loved that we could take our little fur- baby with us and enjoyed an excellent stay. The outdoor baths and sheep on the farm add such personality too! Highly recommend!
- Scott (7/5): Good -
- Vanessa (9/5): Superb -
- Warna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bree (9/5): Great things come in small packages - The cutest tiny house with great atmosphere. We loved the little touches, the personalised note, chocolates and candles. The outdoor baths were spectacular. . The host is amazing even if it's an odd hour!
- Matthew (8/5): Very good - Great outdoor firepit and size of house was good. The hot water to the outdoor baths worked on and off.
- Melissa (10/5): Just what the soul needed - Everything!
It was the perfect little getaway to stop, slow down and relax.
The bed was cosy, good facilities, loved the outdoor bathtubs, loved the ability to have a fire! And the fairy lights were the perfect touch! A coffee machine would be a great addition if I could suggest anything.
- Wesley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (10/5): One of the best places we have stayed… superb 🤟👌👍 - Everything was amazing.
Spectacular.
- Guan-chen (8/5): Nice and chill place for a couple - Clean and stuff is very helpful response very quick The blanket is a bit small but that’s very easy to fix
- Robert (10/5): Wonderful and peaceful location perfect for relaxation - The location and the house surrounding setup Everything was perfect except that the Bathtubs take a long time to fill with water.
- Lucy (9/5): Superb -
- Andrea (8/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our tiny stay experience and hope to be back again soon! - The seclusion and serenity. The tiny house was clean and well equipped and Ben a friendly and helpful host. Possibly the inclusion of a shaded outdoor area would help as the morning sun is quite hot!
- Emily (9/5): Superb - Beautiful tiny house set on a lovely property. We really enjoyed the outdoor baths, fire pit and the nearby river! Thanks for a great stay!
- Anonymous (10/5): Had so much fun at Blackiron. My friend and I stayed in the tiny house and it was honestly such an amazing experience. S -
- Rossetto (9/5): Perfectly secluded and quaint tiny house on a quiet property - It was in a beautiful location and the tiny house itself was stunning. The owners were really hospitable No shade during the day, to enjoy sitting outside - we waited until after 2pm to enjoy the outdoors
- Maree (8/5): A few small improvements needed but overall a great experience and would recommend. - The house was presented really nicely and the bed was super comfy. We loved the outdoor fireplace. The setting of the outdoor bathtubs and lighting is very romantic. The easy access to the river for fishing is great, caught a couple! Very friendly host. The house is located in a shared campground so it wasn’t as private as we were expecting. There was no bathmat supplied. There were no full sized dinner plates! This was not an oversight and we were told “tiny house, tiny plates”. All other essential kitchen items are supplied, in full size, so it seems ridiculous that dinner plates are not. Unfortunately one of the outdoor bathtubs wasn’t working properly and didn’t heat up, a little disappointing as this was an influential factor in our booking.
