Guest Reviews
- Brian (10/5): Great place to stay -
- Michael (5/5): - How clean it was The lack of lighting along the long hidden walkway to the accommodation, no signage, hard to find in the dark. But most of all. The shear lack of privacy. The front sliding door that is next to another apartment you can see straight in. The current blind they have there offers no privacy or light blockout. If people were to walk past or into the other apartment they could clearly see you sleeping.
- Matt (8/5): -
- Michelle (10/5): Sorry I had to leave and will - Very quiet and relaxing & private Loved everything
- Jonathan (7/5): It was nice and comfortable otherwise - Shower head was loose and sprayed water everywhere.
- Juraschek (6/5): - Cute. Clean. Quiet.
- Lanfear (10/5): best little hide away.. - everything... private location. lovely little building..10/10.... sunday morning blissfully waking up to church bells... loved it nothing not to like....
- Lanfear (10/5): -
- Alan (8/5): Ok - Location Nothing
- Miriam (10/5): -
- Larni (10/5): -
- Kerrie (10/5): - The Coachhouse was the perfect place to stay - clean, spacious, well-equipped and with great rustic appeal. The bathroom's outlook onto the private courtyard and garden was especially lovely.
- Kevin (10/5): Lovely stay - An unusual setting but it really is lovely and quaint. It has everything you need for a stay over and close to the beautiful city centre. Only my personal preference but I would have preferred a privacy blind on the front glass door.
- Susan (3/5): Never stay again or recommend the place - Parking was on the street not happy. The lane way to the property was loose stones not able to wheel bag on The bed sagged one kept falling to the middle needs replacing. The shower was on the bath dangerous situation
- Carolyn (8/5): - Privacy Nothing
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Jonathan (10/5): -
- Alex (9/5): Great place to stopover - Lovely, comfortable space that had everything we needed. Perfect space for 2 people.
Good instructions on how to locate the property. Would have been nice if there was a stovetop (since there were pans in the cupboard for one), but we managed with the toaster oven.
- Leeanne (8/5): Cute cottage feel - Booked in late and not an issue. Needs a better blind or curtain over front door- people could see in to bedroom. In secluded area though, but still felt uneasy
- Fran (10/5): Ticks all the boxes - It was delightful and spacious
- Ellen (7/5): - Location, clean all essential elements at hand. No handrails in the bath, which was a deep claw foot with a shower over it.also no bath mat witch made the bath a slippery surface,my husband fell and bruised his hip!
- John (7/5): Quite good. The surrounds could be tided up. - Plenty of space and very well equipped. Bathroom floor squeaky. Blind needed on front door. A non slip bath mat would be advisable as you are showering in a bathtub.
- KevinJay (10/5): - clean, and nice good for couple. difficult to find location.
hot water Is Red color.
- Anne (9/5): - Nice quiet space easy to locate and cozy Was hard to sleep with door didnt block out the light and bed was a little uncomfy
- Alyson (9/5): - Quiet location, big bathroom Bed was a little hard for me but fine for husband.
- Ethan (9/5): Quiet peaceful stay - Very quirky and quant. Classic example of not judging a book by its cover. Lovely bright retro bathroom. Well equipped private studio apartment. Air-con works well. Access was inconvenient as parking was on the street.
- Deborah (10/5): -
- Cristina (10/5): Perfect location, so much space & communication with the host was great! Highly recommend! - Loved the secluded entrance and how well the space was utilised to feel much bigger!! The oooonly thing I didn’t love was the sliding front door without a blackout blind.
- Leonie (10/5): -
- Elizabeth (4/5): - Not what expected Poor explanation of property entrance could have knocked had on approach to building no digital, no complimentary milk and plastic fruit in the fruit bowl
- Kristeen (9/5): Convenient, peaceful and comfortable - Cute studio, great alternative to a generic motel and very peaceful Shower is over a high bath which could be tricky to get in and out of if you have mobility issues.. would be good to add a non slip mat
- Alex (4/5): Wouldn’t stay again.needs some work to make this a nice stay - Nill Very small building, no windows to allow fresh air. Sewer leak on the back patio. Very old and out dated fit out. Very rough if I’m honest wouldn’t book again
- Phillip (8/5): We enjoyed our stay and found the history embedded in the building fascinating. - Enjoyed the courtyard and the location made it easy to walk to dinner We couldn't lock the door from the outside.
There is really no privacy with the glass sliding door. It has a see through blind.
- Sheppard (9/5): Perfect 👌 - The location easy access to coach house little extras tea coffee very nice place to stay
- Graziella (5/5): - Bathroom Not suitable for a person with a disability.
Furniture Not comfortable.
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Kathryn (7/5): Cute and cozy - It was super cute and good location and clean The tv didn’t have reception for any channels other than abc and sbs and there was no wifi to use Netflix etc. We were keen to have a night in after a 6 hour drive but were a bit disappointed we couldn’t use the tv. There was also an office next door with a shared wall so during the day time we could hear them
- Akky (7/5): It was a pleasant stay - No milk for tea coffee ,no hairdryer
- Trent (6/5): -
- Natalie (10/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): Good for a couple of nights while visit relatives in the area - Clean and comfortable with good communication from host. No wifi, shower over the bath and limited TV channels.
- Debbie (10/5): I loved every moment. - The fruit was a lovely touch and basic pantry needs. It would have been nice to have some long life milk available on arrival.
- Quill (8/5): -
- John (6/5): - No internet and only ABC / SBS available on TV.
Couch was uncomfortable.
When we tried to make contact, we got 'message box full'.
A bit of a walk from car to apartment.
Apartment overlooks disused tennis court.
- Jason (7/5): -
- Lois (8/5): Nice to be warm and cosy for a quick overnight stay. - Cute and quirky. Great heating and cooling and electric blankets.
Appreciated the coffee machine. A little hard to find, would be more difficult in the dark.
- Sascha (9/5): -
- Kaitlin (8/5): -
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Helen (7/5): Good - Love the quaint old fashion charm
Comfty bed
Good location
Court yard was a nice extra Lacking love. Needs some TLC
Communication was poor.
Microwave difficult to reach if your on the short side.
- Russell (7/5): Good -
- Scott (5/5): Passable -
- Harry (6/5): Pleasant - Cute little room, with plenty of character. There is NO PARKING It said there was on site parking but that is INCORRECT. The only parking is on the street. The accommodation is down a (approx) 15 meters little lane way covered in loose gravel which means you have to carry suitcases. The only shower was over a claw foot bath, with No handles to help older people.
- Eka (7/5): Good -
- Jennifer (10/5): Designed to echo Goulbourne’s generous past. - I really liked its layout and fittings and courtyard. The kitchen was set up well and The bath easily splashes onto the wooden floor
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Leanne (9/5): Superb -
- Warren (7/5): Good -
- Graeme (3/5): Needs major upgrades to the place. Won't stay again. - The bed was comfortable Tv didn't work. Scanned for normal tv channels multiple times and couldn't get them. No wifi and couldn't mirror our phones. Everything in the place was ancient but not in a good way.
- Gay (9/5): Quaint, secluded studio apartment in an interesting location. - Lovely quaint little apartment with character. Loved the old-style bathroom with the little garden view. Nice location. Very quiet.
- Michael (9/5): Would definitely stay again, for those who want something more than your average motel room. - Generous size, with all facilities, clean, cosy and delightfully decorated. Beautiful bathroom with attached small courtyard. Not immediately obvious when you reach the address, it is down a side walkway on the property. Parking is on the street and the walkway, is very neat but difficult to drag wheelie suitcases down. Courtyard needs work but is a nice and unexpected addition. Shower in a beautiful rolled top bath, but could be difficult to access for older guests.
- Samantha (8/5): Lovely little overnight stay - Quaint little apartment, great for a short stay. Nice retro features and lovely quality linen. Kitchen appliances were a bit grubby. While access was easy, the access instructions were incorrect. Firstly, you can't park in the vacant lot adjacent to the property which we were told we could do, you have to park on the road which is no problem. Secondly, access to the property is via a shingle path to the left of the vacant lot, not via stairs as we were instructed. I think you must make this clear.
- Robyn (8/5): Very good -
- Debbie (6/5): Pleasant - It was quirky and cosy No tea bags or milk
The water was a brownish colour
- Jesse (9/5): Superb -
- Nikki (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (5/5): Passable - Looked nice Dirty... Bin, small oven/airfryer full of grease, mould on shower blinds, no bath mat, electric cook top too old to use, Ivy growing into bathroom, blind on sliding front door like mesh, could see outside all night and light and very bright in morning, front door lock was very loose and had to juggle lock to try to lock it.... Instructions to get in completely wrong.... Neighbour said we couldn't park on vacant land as not theirs and no steps to property... Had to go down small pathway. Key lock took about 10 mins to open.
Very disappointed...worst night sleep.
- Kellie (8/5): Very good -
- Chenoweth (10/5): Exceptional - Great little stop over.
Really comfortable bed, large claw foot bath tub with good water pressure, kitchen appliances and very very intimate and cosy.
Slept really well. Removed bathroom main light so toilet light provided enough light to find your way in unfamiliar territory.
- William (8/5): Quaint, comfortable studio close to CBD - Very clean, tidy and comfortable studio. Everything needed for cooking and kitchen was present. In a great location close to the CBD but in a lovely area of Golburn where it is nice and quiet. The car parking is located in a vacant block adjacent to the studio. Its a bit confusing on how to access the studio down a small walkway next to the carpark and a bit difficult to carry bags etc over pebble path. Maybe a sign indicating the name and direction of the cottage would be of benefit.
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lean (9/5): Superb -
- Colleen (9/5): Superb - It was a characterful property with everything you need for a short stay including a comfortable bed. Unfortunately the air-conditioning unit was not operating correctly during our stay. The property has the same number as the big place on the other side of the spare allotment which caused us a little confusion.
- Michael (8/5): we enjoyed our stay - enjoyed our stay -was great because it was in a residential suburb of Goulburn it was fine
- Ashley (9/5): Great location on top of the hill - Very well located at the top of Goulburn’s best hill, a neat and well furnished studio with exceptionally comfortable bed In like the location and the bed the most
- Benjamin (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (8/5): Very comfortable room for a short stay. - The coach house was a very attractive and comfortable location for our one-night stay in Goulburn. All the facilities were great and everything was very comfortable. There is a separate room in the property, partitioned off from the rented accommodation. When we arrived in the afternoon the other room was occupied (by a business?) and there was quite a bit of noise from phone calls and conversation with several people visiting and going past our door. However, by the time we came back from our meal in town, the place was empty and quiet.
- Lindsey (9/5): Quirky, very comfortable and great communication with owner - Very comfortable and clean Better directions on access. It is not access by stairs from waste land next door but down a gravel path from the road. I think this is a new addition so just an update would be useful.
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (10/5): Loved my stay here on the road between Sydney & Adelaide - everything l needed to enjoy a peaceful & perfect nig - Perfect hideaway for a quiet & peaceful night in Goulburn- everything you need to enjoy a night in a separate, self contained building within a few minutes of the town centre.
- Andrea (9/5): Superb -
- Cherie (9/5): Superb - This was a great find- very quaint and perfect for our stopover. Loved it 💕
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (8/5): Great overnight stopover. - Quirky little place looking out onto an old tennis court / garden. Liked the old fashioned style. Very Quiet ! A lightweight blanket would have been good. Doona too warm for this time of year.
A window with a fly screen would have been good.
- Justine (8/5): Cute little apartment close to the city centre! - Great location close to town, cute little apartment. We liked that there were cooking facilities and a kitchen table. Bed and lounge were comfortable. We showered and thought that the bathtub (though very cute) was a bit dangerous as the bottom was curved and no handrails to hold on to getting in and out.
- Linda (9/5): Superb -
- Denise (9/5): Superb - The place had alot of character, the bed was very comfy and it was clean. There was a bath, although I didn't have one as staying the night was a last minute decision I wasn't organised, but it's good to know for mext time
- Treacy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Oren (10/5): Thanks for the stay - I really like the atmosphere of the apartment and the front door view it made me a bit nostalgic. Owner was very accommodating and very quick to respond and very nice. Not much was to not like.
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Joel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (8/5): Very good - Nice studio. Comfortable. No WiFi
- Rose (7/5): Quirky quiet studio. - This is a quirky studio apartment with no-one overlooking you, while your front glass door looks over an abandoned tennis court (quite atmospheric). It has a cast iron bath/shower (though remember to close the blinds as the shower screen is not enough if anyone comes down the path). It also has a small courtyard I could put my pushbike in. Its an easy stroll to a good Thai restaurant. It was very hard to find, as there is a house with the same number, and the path to the coach house is between the vacant block and the ugly flats next door, and doesn't have a sign. Once you do work it out, watch out for the roof line of the coach house as you can easily bump your head when you get on the new concrete path.
- Tanya (10/5): A rare find for the price! - It was very well appointed, beautifully decorated, with all the amenities that one would need. In a very quiet location, a comfortable bed and fantastic bathroom facilities. N/A
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - I loved everything about the place, especially the old style bathtub it was very homely
Definitely stay again There was nothing to like except we didn't stay long enough
- Naynay11 (10/5): Cute, quaint and gorgeous little cottage - Such a lovely space where we didn't get enough time to enjoy it properly. We will be back. It has everything you need and is in walking distance to the main street.
- Karen (8/5): Great place for a stopover 😁 - The apartment was very clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable & cosy 🙂. The facilities were more than adequate for our needs. The instructions regarding entry were detailed and easy to follow. As for other reviewers complaining about possums on the roof…what else would you expect when in a rural area surrounded by trees??? Would gladly stay here again and will recommend to others. At no time did we ever feel unsafe…no idea why anyone else would feel any different. The stairs weren’t the best but the owner was consulting with a tradie regarding the matter while we were there. Probably a good idea to update the blinds on the door and the sliding door itself was a little hard to open.
