• Gusti Ayu (10/5): Comfy, peaceful and quiet - Stay in this villa is totally beyond my expectation. When I stay, I am the only guest over-there. The place is totally stunning and quiet. The facilities is exceptional, from laundry to the kitchen all of them top notch, they provide all of kitchen equipment that you might need during stay there. At first I am a bit hesitate to book because the place just far away from the city. But all of my overthink mind just disappear when Patricia offer me to buy some groceries first and put it on refrigerator so I can cook peacefully when I stayed there. 🩷 The fact that my flight arrived so late, I also ask about whether someone can pick me up from airport, because I know it would be hard to find taxi or bus to the villa. And again, Patricia helps me to ask Tracey to picked me up at airport. 🩷 If you wanna go to Hobart and explore the city, you need to walk around 25 minutes to bus stop but it is totally worth it with the view. Shout out to Patricia, so helpful and kind, from groceries to bus timetable to city, she has full information of it. She also told me how to get proper picture to catch the aurora and keep update every time there is a chance to see aurora, I know Glendale apps (for aurora things) from her.🩷 If you looking for a peaceful place with a chance to see aurora and the milky way just above your head, this is the place. This place is definitely worth the drive..it's away from the tourists..a truly magic place. Had great walks on the beach. Had yummy curry at the RSL General store worth a visit for baked goods You won't be disappointed That we couldn't stay longer.
• M (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about our stay was perfect. The house was clean, spacious, and modern, with a really comfortable bed and pillows. The kitchen had everything we needed and was very thoughtfully set up. The views through the huge windows were stunning, and we loved the location - beautiful beach, and great walking tracks. Patricia was so helpful with tips, especially for spotting the Aurora. We had a warm welcome and really enjoyed our stay - would definitely recommend! The TV remote didn’t work very well, even after changing the batteries - you have to be very close to the TV for it to respond. The sound system didn’t seem to be working during our stay. The extra blanket was a bit smelly. We also got a few mosquito bites, so it’s worth bringing repellent and keeping the doors closed.

• George (10/5): Just what we needed was a relaxing stay after two long days riding our motorcycles down the West Coast and across to Hob - Very comfortable NEW build that is well set up for a relaxing stay right on the beach. No complaints at all.

Patricia war eine ausgesprochen freundliche Gastgeberin, das Haus war blitzsauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich nur wünschen kann – wirklich bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht. Der Ausblick vom Wohnzimmer ist traumhaft, und der Strand liegt direkt vor der Tür – perfekt für Spaziergänge oder einfach zum Genießen. Mit etwas Glück kann man hier sogar die Aurora beobachten! Die Lage ist herrlich ruhig und gleichzeitig ideal, um Hobart und die Umgebung zu erkunden. Für uns als Familie war es der perfekte Ort, um zur Ruhe zu kommen – wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an rundum wohlgefühlt. Absolut empfehlenswert, eigentlich unmöglich, hier weniger als 10 Punkte zu vergeben! Wenn man hier überhaupt etwas nennen kann, dann vielleicht der Bewegungsmelder, der ins untere Schlafzimmer hinein strahlte, wenn man nachts nicht das Rollo heruntermacht, aber den kann man sicher auch irgendwo ausstellen.

The views are stunning and the connection to nature is a highlight. It faces south so is perfect to view the aurora 10m from the beach. Apartment was brand new, very large kitchen/dining/lounge with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the beach and the Derwent River. About 30 mins drive from the airport. The owner helped so much with Aurora and Bioluminescence sightings. I highly recommend it.
• Melissa (9/5): Perfect quiet location to unwind - I booked here purely for a chance to see the Southern Lights (never guaranteed but i was fortunate to see them). This property has perfect southern views with minimal light pollution. It has beach access. South Arm itself is a quiet area with only a couple of facilities and it was perfect for a relaxing long weekend. Patricia was an amazing host giving plenty of tips and being contactable should i have a question. I would have liked access to blankets for the cooler days, rather than using the air conditioning. This could have been available but i never asked!

Booked this villa to see the Aurora as a 50th birthday treat and it was perfect, even saw silver sea sparkle at the same time along the beach at the front! Patricia was also an exceptional host sending me alert and tips for the Aurora so I didn't miss it. Will definitely be back, villa in new condition and had everything and more for a comfortable stay. Living area upstairs is open to the southern skies, great for capturing the Southern Auroras. Host was extremely helpful, even prompted us on the weather in Mt Wellington and time to catch the Aurora. Nothing we can complain about.

Accommodation is fully equipped and well-stocked (even board games in case you're caught in wet weather). Patricia is an excellent host and thought of everything. Before we even made it to Tassie, she prepared us for a wonderful stay by providing helpful pre check-in advice e.g. her contact & where to pick up supplies. She let us know the weather condition as there was a bad storm the week before our arrival, so that we can dress for it and be assured that power has resumed. After I told her that I'll be chasing the aurora, she gave a lot of helpful tips for us to spot it. She's the most exceptional host I've ever stayed with and I've stayed in a lot of places around the world. I know I'll be well looked after when I return for another stay. We couldn't stay longer.

Although we dont get to see aurora from the house, the owner is nice enough to keep informing us of the aurora forecast. If you are there on a Saturday night, go out for wood fired pizza less than 10 minutes drive. Nothing, it was fantastic.I can't write more because it was lovely. • Rong (10/5): Best accommodation of my July 2024 road trip! - Pre & post stay received informative info from the owner which helps with planning for the trip. Example which places of interest to check out.. where the nearby grocery are...where is a good place to catch the aurora. We parked our car at the sheltered porch. By the side of the house, there was a spray hose which we used to wash away soil and dirt on the car from our road trip. The accommodation is spacious, clean, well furnished and cosy! Our room and toilet was on the 1st floor. Loved the heater in the room and the warmed lights in the toilet, kept us warm. Kitchen and living room was on the 2nd floor. Spacious kitchen island to prep food. It was well equipped with rice cooker, pots and pans, toaster, microwave and oven. Basic condiments were available in the cupboard and fridge. Dining table by the aircon where we could change it to blow warm air, gave us warmth in the cold weather. The balcony was my fav spot to take pics of the stars and also timelapse without leaving the house to take the sunrise with birds flying by and perching on the railing. We tried our luck at Goat Bluff lookout which was within 10mins drive away during our stay to catch the aurora. Although no aurora for us, but the views of the stars and moon made it up. Thank you for everything! Stayed one night only. Only wished I was able to stay much longer to get more chance to catch the aurora. It's a great location with awesome views of the beach from the backyard.

Host Patricia is thoughtful and super helpful with local knowledge and Aurora ch - Property had everything we needed plus lovely views out to Bruny Island and River Derwent from upstairs living area, balcony deck and downstairs bedroom. Perfect location for aurora chasing and walks to beach. Villa has a very well equipped upstairs kitchen, large dining table, great heating for cold winter days and nights, and was very comfortable and clean. Nothing - everything was good.

Patricia and Graham are great hosts, communication was very easy and gave some great recommendations for what to do and see in the area, the little homey touches and welcome hamper made the stay very comfortable! The villa is lovely and in an awesome location, the views from the house and just outside the doorstep were stunning. A great location to settle in and do some aurora chasing. Will definitely stay again when visiting Hobart, and highly recommend.

The house is very well equipped with plenty of space. It was cosy in late autumn. The arrival welcome pack was much appreciated. There are walking trails starting from the front door, and other walks in South Arm a short drive away. We did see an aurora while we were there, but cetaceans not so much.
• Shane (10/5): South Arm's best stay - Such a great place. Such a great view. We went on 11th May, when the aurora was so strong - it was dancing across those large windows. And the host, Patricia - the sweetest woman. I booked this accommodation very last minute and even though it was challenging for her to have it ready, she did her best to give us a memorable night and confirm our stay in that lovely villa. She also gave us more tools like a tripod stand in case we really wanted to get a great aurora picture down by the sea! There was nothing to not like. Everything exceeded my expectations

As I arrived later than anticipated, Patricia arranged and talked me through to get into the house without any issues. The house is brand new, very clean and exceptionally beautifull. It's located 20m from the beach and has an amaizing view of the bay. The house has all the amenities you will ever need.

Everything was clean and tidy. Had everything you needed. Undercover carpark at the house. Coffee on the balcony overlooking the ocean was wonderful in the morning. Patricia was very friendly and welcoming, and let us know about nearby attractions and things to do. The power was off and the house was still being cleaned for the first hour of our arrival (we checked in at 6pm). We shared the bedroom and bathroom with a swarm of mosquitoes. Not sure where they came from as we had the house closed up from the time of arrival. They got worse throughout the night resulting in a poor sleep and waking up absolutely covered in bites. I also attempted to message Patricia to let her know we were checking out in the morning and found she had blocked my number

We watched dolphins skipping through waves, abundant birds & wildlife. Plenty of space in the villa. Great facilities, super comfy bed & views for miles! If you’re an Aurora fan, bring your camera & equipment because you have direct views straight down from South Arm to the southern horizon. Our wonderful host, Patricia is there on arrival to help you get your bearings & to ensure you have a wonderful experience at Blessington Villas!! We will absolutely be back. Just the perfect getaway! Make sure you do a grocery shop at Lauderdale on your way through. You will fall in love with the place! The view from the house is amazing and the location next to the beach is perfect. There is a nice walk along the coastline or on the beach. The house is nicely decorated, everything is new, the beds are very comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom are so good. Thank you Patricia for staying in your beautiful house. —
