• Keith (1/5): Never trust HoK Living - it’s a scam. - The location was wonderful. There were a ton of great restaurants within walking distance, and Stamford Bridge is right down the block. The property is HORRIBLE though. NEVER book through HoK Living. They are con artists. We booked a stay for a two bathroom place because of the size of our party and the events we had booked were going to keep us on a tight schedule. Upon arrival, one of the bathrooms was not working (leaking toilet), and we were instructed not to use it. We also packed roughly 5-7 days worth of clothes for our 10 day trip because there was a washer and dryer. After having to carry 5 trash bags full of laundry a quarter of a mile to the only cleaner in town (who charged £180 to do the laundry) because the dryer was broken, they finally sent someone out to take a look as we were more than halfway through our trip and running out of clothes. The Wi-Fi is TERRIBLE and only works if you are standing near the back door in the first floor (don’t bother trying it from anywhere in any of the bedrooms). Oh, and the TV runs on Wi-Fi, so the TV that is advertised is as good as a paperweight. We tried to make a coffee with the coffee machine that was there, but that was full of mold and had an old, moldy cartridge wedged inside of it. The maintenance people and the cleaners that HoK Living had to send during our trip both said that they constantly have complaints about this property, but the owners never keep the property up (upstairs bathroom had the same issue as the out-of-order downstairs bathroom recently). The one bathroom that does work is very tiny with a toilet, a 6”x8” miniature sink, and a shower that you can spend roughly 3 minutes in because the drainage in the house is so slow that the shower water immediately starts to pool as soon as it’s turned on. And, the HoK Living owners will give you the same “we’re sorry that your experience had these inconveniences, and we’re working to improve them” line, while they laugh all the way to the bank with the money they steal through this false advertising scam.
• Amanda (4/5): Disappointing and uncomfortable - Decent enough location. 11 minute walk to the Underground. Grocery stores nearby. Quiet neighborhood. Away from heavy tourist areas. Tenant verification process. Unsecured WiFi that doesn’t reach upstairs. Uncomfortable, bad quality mattresses. Thick layer of dust throughout. Smells like dogs have been here. No non-slip mat for the downstairs tub, making it unusable. Insufficient household items provided such as toilet paper or paper towels.
• Jan (6/5): Nicely designed cottage, functional. Tenant verification process was annoying, first time we have experienced that on Bo - Modern design and layout. Good location close to tube station One bathroom leaking. Train track in the back yard. No access for car. Water heater was unstable.
