Guest Reviews
- Pierre (7/5): -
- Enescu Ela (10/5): - Everything, the house was really nice The narrow access street
- Maya (3/5): - The views, pool, and surrounding plantation were beautiful, the property itself had several issues. We stayed at this property hoping for a relaxing getaway, but unfortunately our experience did not meet expectations.
There was a strong damp smell throughout the house, with spider webs, ants, and even centipedes inside. Many lights didn’t work, the outside room lock was broken, and several showers had low water pressure or ran out of hot water quickly. The kitchen only had cold water, and the pool shower had no door. Cleanliness was below standard—towels and sheets smelled damp, and the BBQ and utensils were dirty.
Basic amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a coffee machine (as advertised) were missing. We also discovered that the “hot tub” mentioned in the listing was not functional.
Overall the maintenance, cleanliness, and accuracy of the listing were disappointing, especially for the high price we paid. The property has potential with its lovely setting, but it needs significant improvements and a more accurate listing for future guests.
- ASUN (5/5): Calidad precio no se corresponde - La piscina y el jardin Baño sin puerta
Habitación sin baño
Las camas y colchones
El acceso a la casa difícil incluso en coche.
Lejos de todo
- Andrew (7/5): - The house has a lot of character and a beautiful but rather small pool.
It's a short distance from Icod which has lots of lovely bars and restaurants but it's too steep a hill to walk.
The owner was very helpful when we needed something. It's not one house. Two bedrooms are outside of the main house which isn't great for younger kids.
The drive to the house from the road is very narrow. You can't have anything bigger than a medium car which is still quite precarious.
We were unlucky with the weather, it' was heavy thick cloud most days which I now understand to be quite common for the north side.
- Ricardo (10/5): -
- Satwat (10/5): Beautiful family stay with exceptional views and private pool. - Location - up in the hills of Amparo and yet, not more than 45 minutes from the main cities, the views, the infinity pool, cleanliness of the property. The flush in the main WC didn't work. Didn't bother us to be fair as there were 3 other WCs we were able to use. No curtains in the rooms meant that we were up by 7, no complaints again as the views were exceptional to wake up to but still, curtains won't hurt!
- Elizabeth (9/5): Charming renovated villa away from the crowds - Beautiful, historic, well renovated, secluded villa nestled in stunning lush Tenerife countryside.
Lovely high ceilings and a simple, rustic, charming feeling throughout. Necessary mod-cons were all present like big smart tv, washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher etc. There’s also a cute guest cottage with an en suite upstairs which would be perfect for different couples staying and similar downstairs (although we were just 1 small family so didn’t use either).
There is a fabulous heated hot bath outside surrounded by lemon trees for privacy, which we made good use of - elemental and wonderful.
Oliver and Jess were very helpful, responsive and friendly hosts who did all they could to make us feel comfortable and at home. The drive up into the property is for experienced drivers only, very narrow country lane, steep turns etc.
The pool is beautiful but not heated so we couldn’t use it as the May weather we experienced unfortunately wasn’t great. In the summer it would warm up naturally in the day from the sun and I’m sure it’s fabulous then.
- Hans (9/5): Superb - Exceptional Villa, very nice pool, heated bathtub in the garden. The pool could be heated (a little cool, probaply during spring time - Summer might be fine)
- Maureen (9/5): Fabulous rustic villa - The setting is amazing, with plenty of terraces and outdoor areas, pools and a well equipped kitchen with a laundry room and spacious lounges. All cleaning products provided including dishwasher tablets and laundry products, plus spices and oil. . Netflix available.. Good location to visit Masca and La Oratova , plenty to see and do in Icod de los Vinos. The hosts were helpful and good communicators. Access in a large car is tricky, but possible to walk along from the road. As with most properties, it is best to arrive before dark. A car is necessary to explore town and area, but there's plenty to see and do.
