Dina (7/5): Grosses Hotel mit Charme - Hotel mit speziellen Charme. Wie kommen immer wieder gerne wieder. Mache Zimmer haben eigene Kitchenette. Sehr schön, dass das Hotel eine Sauna hat aber sie ist unpraktisch eingerichtet und vor allem offiziell nur von 16 von 20 Uhr angeschaltet aber halb fünf ist oft alles noch kalt.

Annette (8/5): - Vi var där för längdåkningen och försatt åka Ski Engadin Marathon och hotellet ligger precis vid starten vilket passade oss. Vi uppskattade också att ha ett eget pentry Du behöver åka bil till affärer, restauranger och alpin skidåkning men vi gjorde ett val att vara nära starten. Lite dyrt boende.

Andreas (6/5): - Die Lage des Hotels war gut. Am Haus mochten wir den alten Charme. Das Zimmer war geräumig und hat alles was wir brauchten. Die Auswahl am Frühstück war ebenfalls gut. An unserem Aufenthalt haben uns drei Dinge gestört: Die personelle Besetzung an der Reception ist schlecht. Die beiden Damen waren ziemlich forsch und unfreundlich. Für eine Position an der Front und mit Kundenkontakt sind sie nicht geeignet. Das Sofabett in unserem Zimmer hing so durch, dass man weder richtig schlafen konnte und sich ernsthafte Sorgen um die Gesundheit des Rückens machen musste. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht adäquat.

Alina (8/5): - The location, the hotel lobby and rooms. The plates in the room were dirty, the room that we got had the view tiwards the garage. I would expected a better view since i have booked 3 weeks in advance a mountain view appartment.
Jenny (10/5): Beautiful Hotel - Very beautiful hotel, with self catering residence and option of dining room if one wants to eat in. The staff are very friendly, approachable and very helpful. The place is very clean and the rooms were spacious, looked clean and newly renovated. We found the location a bit far from the town centre and taxi's are very expensive to get to the location, costing around CHF211 or 295 depending on the time of the day. This was during the SnowPolo week. There's also buses into town which are very cheap and stop by a few minutes away from the hotel. If driving it's very ideal location.
Jan (3/5): Check everything before you book such a hotel. - The hotel was reserved for group of religious people who came to pray and practice whole days and nights and hotel was occupied by them. Normally, such a religious group, has own restrictions that effect to other guest of hotel. The food and arrangement has to follow as per standards of such a religious guests. It is better for hotel to avoid accepting more normal guest when hotel reserved for such a purpose. Must pay extra to clean the rooms even if you stay longer period which is not a fair practice. No room service.

Amir (1/5): I would definitely not go there again! The place has a very nice charm and it has a lot of potential, but management is - Only the location and parking space. The pictures are looking much better than what it actually is, our room wasn’t clean, the key wasn’t working at times, they say they have room service, but for a simple water, we had to constantly go downstairs and they didn’t have enough staff.. breakfast and dinner was absolutely low quality and I would not have it although coffee was good. Taking a shower wasn’t easy as the water would get extremely hot after you have it on for a couple minutes. We reserved the big suite, but it just didn’t have a trashcan in the room. I guess they were trying to save money. And the pillows are absolutely terrible and not comfortable at all. I am not trying to be mean here and the staff was fairly OK but seriously whoever is managing this beautiful hotel is not investing in proper accommodations..

Oliver (8/5): Toller Hotelklassiker direkt an der Loipe - Ein wunderschönes, altehrwürdiges Hotel, das nun auch sehr attraktive Ferienwohnungen anbietet. Die Lage in Maloja ist hervorragend, direkt an der Loipe und am See gelegen. Besonders praktisch ist auch die gut verfügbare Ladestation für E-Autos direkt beim Hotel Leider haben wir das Personal als nicht durchgehend gut geschult erlebt. In einigen Situationen wirkte es wenig hilfsbereit und teilweise auch unfreundlich. Insgesamt fehlte uns dadurch das Gefühl, als Gast wirklich willkommen zu sein.
Markus (7/5): Grosses, altes Hotel mit geräumigen Wohnungen - Wir hatten die Familiensuite mit 2 Schlafzimmern und einem Wohnzimmer mit Küche. Die Zimmer waren gross und eines war mit Balkon. Die Betten und Kissen waren bequem. Sehr ruhig gelegen. Es hatte ein Waschbecken im Zimmer aber zum Bad musste man durch das andere Schlafzimmer hindurchlaufen. Die Kücheneinrichtung war einfach, ohne Toaster und Mikrowelle. Unfreundliche Rezeption. Uns wurde bei der Ankunft nicht gesagt, dass es auch ein Fitnessraum und Wellness gibt, sondern nur versucht, das sehr teure Frühstück und Abendessen zu verkaufen. Der Fitnessraum war schlecht beschildert und nur sehr schwer auffindbar.

We went in October, the closest place to buy some grocery was Volg in Sils im Engadin. But it's ok since we went by car.

Rita (9/5): - Wir hatten eine renovierte, bequeme zwei-Zimmer Wohnung mit einer (simplen) Küchezeile. Und es war wirklich schön. Der Ausblick auf das Bergpanorama war top und auch der Weg zum See war wirklich schön. Und absolut ruhig. Das Hebäude hatte noch den alten Charme bewahrt. Hier kommen wir gerne wieder. Nichts.
Dr. Alexander (9/5): Eine Reise in die Vergangenheit - Sehr schönes altes nostalgisches Grandhotel , Für Oldtimertouren und größeren Gruppen
Tobias (9/5): Toller Aufenthalt in vergangenen Zeiten. Hier könnte man einen Film drehen :-) - Charme vergangener Zeiten mit herrlicher Lage Das Hotel Palace in Maloja ist ein Ort, an dem man den Luxus vergangener Zeiten noch spüren kann. Schon beim Betreten beeindruckt die riesige Eingangshalle mit ihren hohen Säulen und dem Treppenhaus, das an ein Grandhotel aus einer anderen Epoche erinnert. In den breiten, langen Gängen hängen zahlreiche Bilder, die von der bewegten Geschichte des Hauses erzählen – das hat uns sehr gefallen. Unser Zimmer war mit einer kleinen Kochmöglichkeit ausgestattet, was für längere Aufenthalte wirklich praktisch ist. Auch wenn das Haus älter ist und man die Geräusche aus den Nachbarzimmern manchmal hört, hat genau dieser nostalgische Charme den Aufenthalt besonders gemacht. Positiv überrascht hat uns auch die E-Ladeinfrastruktur: Direkt vor dem Hotel können vier Elektroautos geladen werden (AC, 50 Rp/kWh) – sehr angenehm für Gäste mit E-Auto. Im Untergeschoss gibt es eine kleine Sauna, die wir abends genutzt haben. Tipp: Am besten etwas später hingehen, da der Raum eher kühl ist und man ihn dann meist für sich allein hat. Für Herbstwanderungen ist das Hotel ein idealer Ausgangspunkt – die Umgebung ist traumhaft schön, und Maloja hat seinen ganz eigenen, ruhigen Zauber. Fazit: Kein modernes Luxushotel, aber ein Haus mit Seele, Geschichte und besonderer Atmosphäre. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Wir haben ohne Frühstücksbuffet gebucht. Daher können wir das nicht bewerten. Es war etwas ringhörig, aber das hat uns nicht gestört, da nicht viel Betrieb war, was sehr schade ist, denn das Hotel hat Charme.
Corazza (8/5): Pompöses Hotel in grandioser Umgebung, leicht angegraut. - Das Hotel lässt seine grosse Vergangenheit als Palace-Hotel erahnen. Es ist sehr grosszügig und liegt wunderschön am oberen Ende des Engadiner Tals. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, aber es macht den Eindruck, dass hier gespart wird. Das Morgen-Buffet ist zwar gross, aber vieles wirkte eher improvisiert, der Kaffee-Automat mit Cappucino etc. funktionierte nicht, es hatte von vielem eher wenig und die Damen kamen kaum nach, mit z.B. Rührei nachfüllen, weil es nur immer wenig gab. ich musste 1x ganz verzichten und 1x lange auf eine kleine Portion warten. Dafür war das Personal bemüht und versuchte auch auf Wünsche wir Spiegelei einzugehen.

Regula (5/5): - Wir waren bereits 2023 im Palace Hotel und damals sehr zufrieden, die Lage direkt am See ist traumhaft, der grosse Parkplatz praktisch und der Empfang war auch dieses Mal wieder sehr freundlich. Das gebuchte Appartement-Zimmer war von der Grösse und Aufteilung her ideal für uns, mit separatem Schlafraum und einem Wohnbereich mit Küche. Leider war die Sauberkeit enttäuschend: Auf dem Boden, den Stühlen und dem Sofa lagen noch Brotkrümel und Haare vom Vorgänger. Zudem waren sichtbare Flecken auf den Sitzpolstern/Kissen, was für uns einen unhygienischen Eindruck hinterliess. Was uns besonders gestört hat, war der intensive, unangenehme Geruch im Zimmer und auf dem Korridor. Auch durch Lüften liess sich dieser leider nicht beseitigen. Diese Punkte haben unseren Aufenthalt merklich beeinträchtigt. Schade, denn das Hotel hätte mit seiner Lage und dem geschichtsträchtigen Gebäude grosses Potenzial. Nach dieser Erfahrung würden wir allerdings einen weiteren Aufenthalt eher nicht mehr in Betracht ziehen.

Patrick (6/5): Nordic skiing and nature at the doorstep. Dated hotel with cheap offers! - We had a 2-bedroom room with a kitchenette. It was refurbished and nice enough. If you don’t like to cook, don’t offer meals. The restaurant is vegetarian only. That would not be an issue if they put salt me live and creativity into their food. Unfortunately the food was horrible in quality and choice.
Dgf (9/5): Great hotel, great value with free parking. - Really liked the property and the room was great. Food offering was very limited and staff were not readily available.
Steve (6/5): Very comfortable stay in a beautiful building and location. but don’t take the breakfast option - better to visit Coop - Excellent location, lovely building and very comfortable apartment Breakfast at CHF25 per head was very disappointing. We expected similar quality to other Swiss hotels. Poor choice of hot food, which tasted old and dry. Lack of fresh fruit. Overworked staff who had to be asked to replenish the plates and bowls. Bread was good as was the coffee.
Grandes (7/5): Good place to stay a few days. - The views of the surrounding and the apartment we rented. Breakfast was poor and expensive. Front desk personal in the morning is unfriendly with families.

Mona (7/5): Nice old hotel where you can still feel the good old times. - I liked the location because you can go directly to the skitrack on the lake. It is a quiet place in the middle of the nature. The Maloja Palace has a lot of common seating areas which is nice to relax. We had booked an apartment with two separate rooms/beds but the only bathroom was "caught" in the main bedroom which meant I had to disturb my friend to go to the bathroom. The buffet dinner was rather pricey considering it was only vegetarian.
Dominika (7/5): In general I enjoyed the stay and can recommend this hotel - It’s an old hotel which, I guess used to be a luxurious one. Now the best times past, but it’s still nice. What I liked the most is: -spacious room, -big parking space -location -breakfast -equipment in the kitchenette -pillows are very nice -refurbished bathroom with additional heater fan, -comfy bed -there was animal’s fur on our sheet -no cleaning service during our 2 night stay (even refilled water) -the kitchen equipment should be cleaner

Agne (9/5): Lovely place in super nice location, quiet, cozy and clean. - Lovely location - right next to cross country skiing slopes, snowshoe walking trails and so close to St. Moritz if you want some extra fun. Rooms were spacious, very clean. Staff super kind in taking the time to give us tips on where to go cross country skiing and snowshoe walking. The place an old time charm feeling.

Almakorte (7/5): A hotel with amazing unrealized potential. It needs a serious investment. - The hotel has an amazing location and a large parking lot. It could easily be a reasonable 4 or 5 star hotel. The hotel needs a serious hotel investor. The restaurant is vegetarian only during the evening, with a buffet only. There are no EURO plugs in the room and when you are asking for a converter, of course they have ran out. Overall, the hotel was somewhat renovated, but it is dimmed by the old area which is a let down.

Bartlomiej (10/5): Much better than I expected. - I liked this hotel very much. A piece of history. Hotel is beautiful with awsome surroundings in good location 20 minutes by car from St. Moritz and not far from Italian border. Interior is like name indicates Palace and I have only few times felt like this inside any place where I had stayed in past. I highly recomend this place. Very comfortable bed. Big room. Nice saunas. Just lack of dishes cleaning liquid and used sponge for dishes cleaning. it is not appropriate in such a place.
Kellie (3/5): Not good value for money/staff rude! - Bed bugs - confirmed by hotel and pictures. Carpets very dirty. Breakfast over priced- very ordinary (not a wide selection for price) and bread stale/old. Staff very rude. Any request was greeted with rudeness (except the male manager who was very helpful and polite).

Corina (8/5): A nice escape with the family - The location of the hotel was very nice. Close to the lake and the center. The apartment was very nice,the kitchenette was well equipped. Good beds and the breakfast was good too. The lady at the check out was very unfriendly. The breakfast was also too expensive for what they are offering.
Hl (9/5): A hotel with excellent view and history. - The view is exceptional. The hotel has a history. The room is clean. The kitchen corner is nice. The noise from the neighbour upstairs because of the bad sound insolation.

Sergio (9/5): Holiday with family - The location was great to visit Engadin, just few minutes by car to Silvaplana and St. Moritz. The building was great, with very charmful spaces like a large hall and decorated stairs. The apartment was comfortable with a nice view on the mountains. The bedroom was great, the kitchen well equipped and the bathroom had all needed services. The hotel staff was kind and helpful with our needs. There was a ski deposit and a free parking for the hotel guests. Nothing to report.

Marc (8/5): Very good - Great Historical building, well restored, well located. Facilities are limited but overall very pleasant Restaurant was "average". Could be much better especially for the prices asked. Breakfast was also "average" and too expensive (25.-) for people not eating much in the morning
