Guest Reviews
- Basileios (1/5): Bad - Nothing. A shabby and dirty apartment on the 3rd floor (no elevator) of an old building. The bedroom had no window, the sheets were stained and wrinkled (we bought our own) - the furniture was worn out - the floor had broken tiles and cement - the small balcony (1×0.5) was dirty with the air conditioner taking up almost the entire space - the refrigerator was dirty and noisy - the bathroom door handle was fixed with wire.
- Suzi (7/5): Good - The location is good, within walking distance to many things. There are quite a few things that need attention, (tv, bathroom door handle, drain smell, stained couch), to name a few. It's a lovely original apartment, but it needs a thorough clean and freshen up.
- Eamon (3/5): Not great - Smell of sewage under the sink
Shower was not guarded and water spilled everywhere
- Danylo (7/5): Good -
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional - Location
- Ekaterina (7/5): Good - It is in a well-centered area, 20 minutes from the train station. Nearby, there is a park with a children's playground, as well as a food market with many small restaurants and bodegas. The area is predominantly immigrant, but it didn’t bother us; we felt safe in the evening.
The apartment is on the 3rd floor without an elevator, but it’s manageable if you are fine with stairs. The apartment is small, and the kitchen is well separated from the living room and sleeping space. The air conditioning works really well if you need to adjust the temperature.
A washing machine is convenient, as well as a bathtub. The sleeping area is not really isolated from the living room, as there is a large opening (which may have been used for air conditioning) in between. Overall, many items are somewhat old; the sofa and pillows are quite flat and have been used extensively.
While the floor is clean, the surfaces above are not.
- Karla (6/5): Pleasant - The description of the stay did not mention that you had to go up 4 flights of stairs.
- Laura (9/5): Great location and easy to find your way around. Great cafes close by. - Great location! The keys took a bit to work but other than that it is in a great location and easy to find. The only downfall is no elevator! No elevator!!
- Deepak (1/5): Worst. - location Host, we reached around midnight, collected the key from another location but no room number given to us and we waited for almost 4 hours, the host didn't pick up our phone calls. Finally police came and helped us to locate the room. There were no lift facilities also and the room was on 3rd floor.
- Stefania (9/5): Superb -
- Kevin (7/5): It was good value for that money. - The location The kitchen, it was dirty.
- Sergio (7/5): Good - The property has a great location, overall the property was spacious. The apartment could be more organized and clean.
- Nadine (9/5): Superb - the location in Lavapies, the popular, multicultural part of Madrid, though safe, with a lot of markets and restaurant to pick up food.
All is within walking distance from 10 to 25 minutes. The streets in Madrid are not very clean.
- Trevor (4/5): Disappointing - Check in. My arrival was delayed due to train problems. The office described for key pickup has limited open hours 11;00 - 18:00 on Sundays. The booking was confirmed but the hosts required a security deposit (said to be provided by credit card). I was travelling by train with poor internet. The phone number for contacts did not work (no response). The response to my emails and texts was a form letter giving instructions for payments by Pay Pal or bank transfer which I was unable to set up while travelling. The final response by email was eventualy to tell me I hadn't followed instructions - bad luck!. I arrived at the appartment location after 10:00 pm and was unable to get a response or entry instructions from the host despite offering to leave cash in the lockbox or work out other methods of payment. My wife and I has eventually to wander the streets of Madrid after midnight until we found a hotel which cost us about 200 euro. I was not happy and had to wait until after 11:00 am the following morning to pick up the key from the office. I was very disappointed with the response from the host which was costly for me and severely disrupted my visit to Madrid.
