Guest Reviews

- Vicki (8/5): Lovely views in a quiet spot - Large comfortable house right on the water. Two decks for relaxing outside and with great water views. Everything was very clean. Pool table was a nice bonus. We took our own kyaks and there was easy direct access to the lake for kyaking. A quiet and relaxing spot. There is no rear fence (to the water) if you're traveling with a pet and wanting to keep them contained. It wasn't a problem for us, just had to keep an eye on our dog when they were outside to make sure they didn't wander.

- Louise (7/5): Great location - Beautiful location. Nice property. Would be great for a large family. Some very minor maintenance issues. Tech was a bit lacking, ie access to television but I think that was intentional however, it was the missing piece for our stay.
- Jana (5/5): Nice 2 story building with lovely view. Needed some attention to detail though for kitchen and linen - We liked the 2 stories and that the child had room to play. We liked the lovely view. The kitchen had plenty of mugs and plate and small bowls but not much else. Not many restaurants nearby so we needed to cook. There were pots and 1 good large frying pan but nothing to serve food in so we had to serve on the table in the pots. One needed to bring just about everything or go and purchase. We did purchase a few small things like tea towels and owner reimbursed. But not even salt and pepper there. Only one tea towel in kitchen a a small cloth napkin in the bathroom for a hand towel so no real hand towel. No face clothes or bath mat. The tiles, though lovely were very slippery. The stove and microwave both difficult to work. The owner sent a video for the stove which we followed but still it took a terribly long time to get working. We managed and had a good time.
- Tamara (10/5): - Direct access to the lake for swimming and kayaking which we loved, our dog also loved going for daily swims An outdoor shower would’ve been good to wash sand off from the water
- Nicolas (10/5): Great place - It was clean and it had everything we needed. Everything was perfect.
- Sharon (8/5): Great family holiday spot - Great size property for a large family to have a holiday. Plenty of spaces for everyone to spread out. My children and grandchildren loved the direct lake access for fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking. There’s nothing not to like in particular, although the listed check-in time is a little late in the day, but we were able to check in earlier. We had one issue that the owner is aware of so no concerns there.
- Winy (7/5): Great location - The location, facility and access to water front. Missing a few basic kitchen amenities.
Maintenance issues:
*TV downstairs does not work.
*1 of the kayak pedal is broken.
- Touma (7/5): Beautiful place to stay for work or family - The property was in a beautiful serene quiet location
The house was spacious and accommodated for evening we needed for our stay there Unfortunately upon arrival the cleanliness needed a little work their were so may spider webs inside the house in windows and doors that didn’t allow us to open them
But the staff were great and sent cleaners out to clean the inside and also trimmed the external trees to see the lake view better
Also there wasn’t a lot of kitchen equipment to use which wasn’t the best as I did need to source a lot out which was unnecessary spending as I couldn’t bring a lot of time back with me and had to leave behind which will help the next people who stay their.
also as for Clemson supplies it did lack in that part too.
- Scott (10/5): Excellent home and responsive, helpful hosts - Host easily contactable and quick to respond. Facilities were excellent
- Pamela (10/5): Wonderful house by the lake - Wonderful house with direct access to the lake. In the morning it was amazing to wake up with the view of pelicans and black swan on the lake. We had a great time relaxing by the fire pit. We didn't use the kayaks as the weather was a bit cool but it would be great to use them in warmer weather. Would be nice to have a wine/bottle opener. One of the rooms downstairs didn't have heating but we found a heater upstairs.
- Alyssa (10/5): Exceptional - A great place to go for a reset - peaceful, calming and tranquil.
Absolutely what we needed!!
Catered to all our different needs!
- Evelyn (10/5): Amazing weekend away - Beautiful house on a stunning location right on the lake. If you’re looking for a getaway this is the place to do it.
My family and I spent the weekend here and we just wished we had more time to stay for longer.
Kayaking on the lake was amazing, followed by roasting marshmallows in the provided fire pit made for an awesome time for children and adults alike.
The house itself has so much space and has been beautifully renovated with amazing lake views from every corner. Waking up to the sunrise after a very comfortable sleep on the large beds made for a relaxing time.
Suzie was such a kind and gracious host, going above and beyond providing children’s books when she saw there were young members of the family attending. She also gave us recommendations for food in the area and overall was easy to contact and communicate with.
Would love to come back again in the future.
- Larvesha (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. I’m not one to leave reviews but this place was too amazing to not.
Came here with a few girl friends for the weekend & while the location and scenery is beautiful, Suzie really put effort into ensuring our stay was enjoyable.
The communication and preparation for our stay was spot on, from providing a detailed guide on how to navigate through the property and how to use facilities to food and activity recommendations in Gorokan -
this was very helpful and prevented any issues.
The place was clean, there are cleaning products provided if needed. Definitely recommend using the kayaks, pool table & fire pit! This was a big highlight during our stay.
We will definitely be back, thank you so much Suzie! ☺️
