Guest Reviews
- Matthew (10/5): Had a lovely stay here with the family. - Cosy and comfortable.
- Helen (9/5): Quaint and well appointed. - It was well equipped - I would say even thoughtful in its equipment, the kitchen had all the things you sometimes miss at Air BnB style stays! Even things like a nice shampoo, conditioner and body wash brand!
Such a massive back yard to play in and have a bbq - and a fire pit, multiple seating areas outside - even kids toys and games available!
Oh plus plenty of nana blankets to sit on the couch and binge with the hvac knowing it’s frosty outside.
There’s heaps of photos of inside - so I’ve added a couple more of outside. The bathroom space is small - but you don’t spend a lot of time in there anyway right!

- Cathy (10/5): Great house in a great location! - Well-equipped charming cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Great location to see the Southern Highlands. Hosts were great, including the communication. Nothing - looking forward to staying again.
- Donna (10/5): -
- Sylvanna (9/5): -
- emily (9/5): Cute and cosy - Close to everything, well renovated little cottage with a nice cozy feel, the bed was really comfortable and had great ventilation throughout the property.
- Kristian (10/5): -
- Murray (9/5): An enjoyable stay in a lovely home that well suited our needs. - Property was presented very nicely, very comfy beds. Large living area and spacious outdoors. Having a washer and a dryer was excellent. The layout of the house was very good. Most definitely stay here again if the opportuniy arose. Bathroom was extremely small and cramped, large person would have difficulty using the toilet. Shower over bath - needs a grab rail. Would recommend removing bath and having a stand alond shower - would be far easier to use especially for older people. This is the only thing that let this property down.
- Jacqui (10/5): A very comfortable house, very clean and great facilities. Good location, would certainly stay here again. - Comfortable bed
Well serviced
Good location
Very clean Nothing
- C (8/5): - Loved the living area and large outdoor entertaining area/relaxing vibe of the place. Comfortable beds and facilities as well. The bathroom was small which made it a little difficult for larger groups and the toilet was in a difficult spot and was squishy to use.
- Ira (7/5): - Location, cleanliness, wonderful owner
- Sylvia (9/5): Excellent comfortable stay. - Bright, modern 3 bedroom home with lovely garden and patio in quiet neighbourhood.
Kitchen very well set up with plenty cutlery and crockery, cooking utensils and serving bowls and platters. No walk in shower. A second toilet or bathroom would be helpful.
- McNamara (8/5): Beautiful property, short walking distance to the Main Street of Mittagong. - Beautiful property, totally spotless, comfortable beds and pillows. The deck is gorgeous and a huge garden which would be amazing if you were with kids. The heating isn’t great. The rooms had electric blankets and plug I. Heaters which was smoke but the reverse cycle air conditioning wasn’t great in the living area.
- Terrie (8/5): Very Good - When we arrived on a cold rainy day, we opened the front door and it definately had the "wow factor". The hosts had the AC on before we arrived, so it was lovely and warm and welcoming.
The cottage was beautifully decorated, light and roomy. The kitchen had every utensil needed. The cottage was spotlessly clean. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept in, and electric blankets were a bonus.
Great back porch with two outdoor sittings, and a fair sized yard for dogs or kids to play.
I cannot rate the hosts highly enough, they were so responsive when we had issues. The TV isn't connected to an antenna, so free to air channels have to be streamed via Wifi. Bit challenging for older people.
The Air Conditioner is set to a maximum of 26 degrees. After about 9pm, we were cold, so had to sit with blankets on, or go to bed early.
- Lauren (10/5): -
- Anderson (8/5): Overall a lovely place, good value for the price. - Clean fresh amenities and spaces. Bedrooms were a good size. The house was cold even with aircon on to warm the rooms. The electric blankets helped on the beds. Would have been good to have a small oil heater in the bedrooms to take off the chill.
- Margrett (10/5): Cosy Country Escape to The Alice - We recently visited The Alice Mittagong with family, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a stylish yet relaxed country charm that made us feel instantly comfortable.
The house itself had everything we could possibly need for our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the utensils and cookware needed to prepare our own meals, making it easy to enjoy cosy nights in. There were plenty of blankets to keep us warm, which made the cooler evenings feel snug and comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home.
We would recommend and definitely stay again. Thank you One small suggestion would be to replace or secure the single chair with wheels in the lounge room, as it can feel a little unstable. Adjusting this would make the space even safer and more comfortable for all guests.

- Judith (10/5): Comfortable, easy and cute as a button - Fabulous cottage in Mittagong for our two night visit. Comfortable beds complete with electric blankets and lovely linen. Bright open spaced living area with a modern kitchen stocked with everything you need. Reverse cycle heating kept the chill at bay! I’d highly recommend staying at The Alice when you’re in the area. Thanks for a great stay

- Jacqueline (10/5): Lovely stay - close to Bowral - will be back! - Gorgeous house with beautiful furnishings and art. Spacious yard and amazing deck for watching the kids with wine and a cheeseboards Nothing!
- Wilsons (10/5): Awesome spacious centrly located property highly recommend - Is a great location but super quiet and comfortable would highly recommend 1 bathroom only which is still lovely and fine but with a larger group you have to take your turns which isnt a bad thing just the only thing i can say was not perfect everything else is super.
- Kaye (8/5): Good place to stay to catch up with friends. Comfortable well equipped and affordable. - Comfortable cottage. Well set out with indoor & outdoor spaces to gather.
- Sophia (10/5): Excellent and great hosts -
- Gavin (9/5): Really nice place, notwithstanding the minor gripes noted. Would happily stay here again! - Nice house, perfect for our family of 4, great location, lovely comfortable bed. Good communication from owners. Good-sized backyard (though it was too cold for us to really take advantage). Got quite cold in the bedrooms; would recommend fitting electric blankets to the beds and/or supplying more effective room heaters (the fin heaters supplied were pretty useless). Also a couple of weird omissions - e.g. there was an ironing board, but no iron (or if there was, we couldn't find it). There was also tea and coffee supplied, but no sugar, which seemed a little strange.
- Stephanie (10/5): Perfect highland getaway - Beautiful house with everything we needed for our stay. Loved the stunning artworks. We were a little cold on our first night but our host was very responsive.
