Guest Reviews
- Borys (10/5): -
- June (8/5): - Great location, very comfortable old-style apartment, very clean Can be difficult to find on Google maps at night. Otherwise all great.
- Nuno (9/5): Charming house in perfect location - The host was expecting us when we arrived, we find it very nice of him. The house is perfectly located (with a grocery store almost next door) and very well equipped. It isn't very big, but it had the right size for us (although some of the furniture seems excessive and takes up some space). Some places seemed that haven't been dusted in ages. There is almost no sound insulation to the outside, so we hear everything that happens in the street. But then, it's an ancient house in an historical city, so that is to be expected.

- Gonzalo (10/5): - Hermosa casa muy bien equipada, limpia y ordenada.
- Piotr (9/5): - Wszystko zgodne z opisem.
- serblin (10/5): - The location is great, especially if you are coming by train. The host is very welcoming and understanding. We would highly recommend!
RAS

- Megan (8/5): Lovely little home of your own in Venice - So homey, felt like I had a Zia in Venice whose apartment we borrowed! Very well furnished with all we needed. Friendly host. Convenient location less than 10 mins walk from San Stae vaporetto, not far walk from train station, and easy to find. Very close to the perfume museum and a few other museums. Lots of shops and restaurants very nearby. Not far walk to Rialto. Twin beds were very comfortable but main bed had pilly polyester sheets on a hard mattress that wasn't that cosy to sleep on. Voices from the street sounded very loud in the room, but the street was quiet after 11-12pm till morning.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Shifa (10/5): Great stay - The host was friendly, welcoming and helpful. good communication before we arrived. he took our baggage upstairs. That was welcome after having to drag it over all those canal crossings. (Venice is not for the mobility restricted persons)
The location is convenient.
The apartment is small . It has been decorated beautifully to give it a rustic ambience to suit the area. The kitchen had all you need for basic cooking. including spices. The washing machine worked fine. Beds were comfortable. 1 double and 2 singles. nothing
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (10/5): Great host and cute apartment. - It was a cute apartment. I loved the location. I loved the little kitchen. I like the view of the water with gondolas going by. A little noise at night from the neighbours and people walking on the street.
- Ciaran (9/5): Superb -
- Du (10/5): Awesome, very central, host gave us a present upon arrival, very personal touch and unique thx - The fact that they kept the traditional things in the house ie the bed linen and old furniture. It had atmosphere. Nothing
- Cheryl-ann (8/5): Very good - Good central location, very friendly and welcoming host. Quaint apartment with all that is needed. Good communication with host to find the apartment. Everything is close by and easy to get to. Shower head didn't stay up very well, we managed this by propping it against the wall....so not big issue in the end.
- Panos (8/5): A convenient stay in the centre of Venice. - Clean apartment in a convenient location Not enough natural light in the apartment, as the street is too narrow.
- Robert (10/5): Comfortable small flat. Perfect location. - A comfortable little flat. Perfect location. Kind, helpful and attentive hosts. Very peaceful at night - not easy to find in Venice.
- Anita (8/5): Good 2 bedroom place within easy walking distance to main attractions. - We were met on arrival by the host which made it easy. Use the link they send for directions and not google maps. We liked the 2 bedrooms - interior was quaint but comfortable :-)
- Topo (9/5): Nice affordable place with everything you need. - Not having ever been to Venice, we didn't know what to expect. The location of this place was in the action. A bit hard to find, as are most places in the maze of alleyways, but using our phones GPS, we were able to get around nicely. The place is fairly small, but you're not really spending a lot of time there, so it was adequate. Our host is a super fellow. Helpful to suggest things, such as where to find the affordable restaurants, and what to see. One wonderful detail about the place is the beautiful cat that lives across the alley and sits on a ledge right across from the bedroom window. We are cat lovers and this guy was beautiful. The only issue with the place is the busy, loud alleyway below the bedroom windows, but this isn't a fault of the accommodation. It's just the nature of Venice. We had to close the shutters on the windows to cut the noise down from people talking loudly, and walking past all night long. And I mean All night. The traffic tapered off around 3am but there were still some that strolled down that alleyway, talking at the top of their lungs, until sunrise. I got some rest with soft earplugs in. But, again, this isn't a fault of the accommodation, it's just the location. I bet some people who have stayed there may not be bothered by the noise at all.
- Patricia (8/5): Very good - Location and neighbourhood was very safe I could smell cigarette in the house as you open the door
- Alvarado (9/5): Very good place, good location too - being Venecia, the room was good size, the shower was good, bedrooms were comfortable, nice kitchen, the fridge worked well. Overall, great place
- Andrew (7/5): Good location, has what was needed - Good location for the sights. Good air con and range of facilities Is dated and could be greatly improved. Even with shutters open seems dark.
- Pravesh (2/5): Only the thing I didn’t like in Venice and avoid at any cost. - I wont rate this apartment as even good as the description of the property itself is misleading. It has mentioned about airconditioning but the airconditioner has been installed in the living room while the bedrooms are not airconditioned and you end up with sleepless nights. We asked about the table fans or anything for bedrooms but host refused it completely. It was very hot in Venice during our visit and we could hardly able to sleep till 2:00PM.
This flat is so cluttered and full of old furniture and not much of the space to move around. Owner didn’t even bother to put toiletaries like shower gel, shampoo and when asked about it he mentioned no one provides it with this money which felt like a rude behaviour. He got us only shower gel on the second day when insisted. siting this is an apartment, basic things like tea, coffee were missing and with his earlier response over the phone we didnt even bothered to ask for it. After tiring journey we ended up searching local grocery store to buy the basic things. Napkins, towels were too old and didnt feel like using them at all.
This apartment is on the tourist path so you can hear the noise late in the night and early in the morning as well. its double edged that you want to open the window for some air for ventilation in the bedroom (as its without AC) and you hear all the noise outside.
Noticed owner has mentioned about wine/Prosecco on arrival and laughed hard at it. He didnt even bothered about basic amneties of apartment then providing wine is a distance dream. We had really good experience with our earlier apartments in Italy travel but this one has just marred our venice experience.
We would say avoid at any cost if you have a choice. everything about this apartment is disappinting.
Though the host met us for handing over the keys and communicated well it went downhill after that and really not good experience.
- Jeffrey (7/5): Handy but overpriced apartment in the center of Venice; avoid staying in summer. - Apartment is located in a (normally) quiet area, up one short flight of steps. The host was friendly and on time. The apartment had all kitchen amenities. The washing machine was a nice bonus. Supermarket 5 minute walk away, but a mini-market is only 100m away. No noise from neighboring units. Excellent refrigerator and microwave over. Plenty of hot water. Couch and beds were comfortable. The Air conditioner is not enough to cool the apartment in summer. I had to open both bedroom doors at night to stay cool. There appeared the second day an army of small black ants in the kitchen, they were all over the counters next to the stove, the sink, and even in the utensil drawer. All food prep had to be moved away from the kitchen area. Unfortunately, every night had tourists talking loudly and even urinating near the outside door. For the high price, these things should not happen. It is quite a complicated ten-minute hike ot the grand canal. Make certain your phone GPS is working.
- Daphna (8/5): The stay was fine. We appreciated the assistance by Moreno (the manager). Hated lack of air conditi - Easy to get around from the apartment. The Manager, Moreno, was very accommodating. He met us at the front door with the key upon our arrival. He gave us toiletpaper when we asked. He gave us a great restaurant recommendation which was delicious. The shower was very small. There were ants in the kitchen. And the air conditioning was only in the main room. The bedrooms were quite warm as the air conditioning was limited to the main room.
- Malin (10/5): Super sweet place, the landlord was very friendly and helpful as we were a bit lost when we first arrived he came down t - Very sweet place in a great location in the more quiet parts of town, yet close to everything! The place suited us perfectly. Everything was good, and we were happy that the 2nd bedroom had 2 single beds instead of a double as in the main bedroom.
- Bethany (9/5): Perfectly located apartment in Venice - Very centrally located with nearby restaurants and sightseeing. The AC was a very nice bonus!
- Kasyanova (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (6/5): A well located apartment that does the job but not a lot of room in the apartment due to furnishings and a bit of a must - Moreno who met us to let us in to the apartment was lovely and very helpful. The location was very good. It was good to have a washing machine & drying racks. It was good that it was only on the first floor. It was also good that there was things like olive oil, sugar etc to use in the apartment. The apartment smelt musty. It was too crowded with furniture that we didn’t need so it was lucky there was a 2nd room to open up and leave a suitcase in.
Some of the dishes were dirty which we know is the fault of previous guests. There was a bit of street noise at night from people walking past as the streets are so narrow.
- Sarah (9/5): A great base to explore Venice - Lovely little apartment in the heart of Venice - check in went smoothly, everything was clean and with everything we needed. It’s on a side street but even so you can hear some noise from passers by in the night.
- Dylan (7/5): good place for 4 people in the heart of venice. easy walking to all neighborhoods - great location and facilities
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good - The hosts were excellent, very helpful and accommodating, always available to answer questions. The apartment was well located The apartment was a bit old fashioned with the decor and was quite small, but I think this is to be expected in Venice
- Stephanie (8/5): Very good -
- Courtney (10/5): Great little apartment - Great location, comfortable, and Moreno was great!
- John (9/5): Cozy, clean and affordable 2-BR apartment centrally located. - The location was just about halfway between the train station and the Rialto Bridge, so it was very convenient to everything without the streets in the immediate area being overcrowded. It felt more like a normal neighborhood than a tourist district. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, as well as a grocery store and the San Stae Vaporetto station within 5 minutes' walk. The host met us with the key and was very friendly and helpful.
- Disha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (7/5): Great location, unfortunately very noisy. - The location was incredible and walking distance to all the major sites and bus/train stations. Easy check in. Had all the basic amenities. Cute, older style apartment even though very dated, felt very authentic. The noise from the street and upstairs neighbours was unbareable. Made sleeping very hard. The floor could have been cleaner.
- Melissa (10/5): Cosy Venice apt. - Loved this cosy apartment for our family. Beds comfortable. Clean. Lovely host with excellent communication. We loved the location far enough away from busy areas but close enough to get to. Quiet enough for us in the evening. Nothing really.
- Kimberly (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (9/5): Excellent apartment in Venice to experience Italy - The manager was very welcoming and helpful
- Narongrit (9/5): Superb -
- Tran (10/5): Exceptional - This is a small but cosy house with a gentlemanly host.
- Maryia (10/5): Exceptional - Italian style apartment, clean and tidy! The area is not far from the center. The owner is hospitable and allowed on the last day to leave things in the apartment after the eviction
- Steffi (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (9/5): Wonderful stay in Venezia - Superbly located. A bit on the small side but everything worked beautifully.
- Kathryn (8/5): Host was wonderful—communicated well with us in advance and responsive to inquiries—a perfect little spot to stay when e - Host was helpful and responsive, property was clean, comfortable and convenient. Just right for a couple days to explore Venice
- Ahmad (8/5): Very good -
- Lucian (10/5): Super, Venice specific - The host arrived immediately in order to introduce us to the home. We were offered some snacks and a bottle of wine. The home is fully equipped. -
- Chirasol (10/5): Excellent option for stay - Easy communication with the owner, quick replies via WhatsApp. The flat is located in walking distance from the city highlights, like Ponte di Rialto, Basilica San Marco, Palazzo Ducale. Quiet location. Big rooms. Comfortable beds. The kitchen is very well equippmed, including oven and microwave. Almost nothing to point out; maybe the ants in the bathroon.
- Ewa (10/5): Best place ever 😀 - Localisation of the appartment in the center of San Polo was absolutely great! Quite easy to find and safe. The contact with the host was very good. We were nicely welcomed by Mr. Moreno with a bottle of wine and Italian cookies. The appartment is in the Venetian style, has two nice bedrooms, is very cosy, clean and with everything you need for your staying with even some cosmetics in the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. Really nothing to complain. For us absolutely gorgeous! Thank you Gino for making our staying so pleasant 😊 Everything was great 👍
