- Mike (10/5): -
- Michael (9/5): Great position… bar close. Town centre close. Perfect. - Close to centre. Nothing
- Wim v.d. Welle (9/5): - Heerlijk ontbijt.
- Giulio (8/5): -
- Kevin (7/5): - Close to town center WiFi did not work in room. Hot water was intermittent, finished most showers with cold water. Noisy, church bells in morning, barking dogs in evening and morning.
- Patrick (9/5): - Everything was perfect. All the staff are gentle and friendly ( included the guy at the breakfast ) Nothing
- Patrick (9/5): -
- Tanya (10/5): Super Helpful Hosts - good location for the town - Excellent communication ahead of time - help with arranging extra bed, market timing and early arrival.
Also a super surprise cake & drinks for our celebration.
Hosts were just brilliant.
Parking on the street outside.
Room had coffee maker, fridge & microwave Nothing really - it was noisy on the street - but it was easter saturday and a celebration in town so not the hotel's fault,
- Amanda (10/5): -
- Ben (10/5): -
- Gemma (9/5): - We liked everything - the staff, the location and the outside space. The shower in one of the rooms was too hot or too cold and the WiFi was better in some rooms than others.
- NATHIN TONGSIRI (7/5): -
- Margaret (8/5): Good place to stay when in San Ignacio. - Really close walking distance to every where I wanted to go in the city. Easy to contact staff for any needs. The staff were helpful and friendly.
- Miranda (9/5): - The staff were incredible! The breakfast was our favourite part and the beds were so soft.
- Rosemary (9/5): - Great location, 5 minutes walk to town centre and market. Great base to explore Mayan ruins and visit local conservation projects The bed linen would be better if it was cotton
- Karen (10/5): An excellent choice to stay in San Ignacio. - Breakfast on the roof was excellent. You record your order and time the night before so everything is freshly cooked for you exactly when you want it.
Room was spacious and comfy. Good fan and aircon.
Drinking water available.
And helpful and friendly people who organised our transport to Tikal from here.
Location also good. Nothing
- Robert (8/5): The staff was exceptionally helpful. Couldn’t ask for better. - It is close to everything. Access was also easy Roads were not good, surrounding area was noisy.
- Aaron (10/5): - Great location, huge rooms, free coffee/water, breakfast and very nice staff
Alles bestens!
- Denise (8/5): - Good location and friendly staff.
- Adrian (10/5): A short but sweet overnight stay. We would have loved to have stayed for a couple of days, as the hostel, location, and - Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing.
- Noah (9/5): -
- Ben (8/5): Good location - The location was very good as you were a 2 minute walk from most of the dinner spots. The staff were very friendly and the laundary service was useful.
The roof top was a really nice addition as it offered some nice views in the evening and it felt as though it was under used by other guests.
- Shonand (8/5): Perfect location, lovely warm staff but please fix the shower girls! - Family team were very helpful and good fun The shower temperature in room 2 could not be controlled (either boiling hot or cold) and after advice from the guy at reception we still couldn’t get it to work properly. We had planned to advise the management team when we left but unfortunately they weren’t around then.
- Anne (8/5): The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms clean, and breakfast choices were all good. - Arnold’s Guest House is located within a short walk to the city center enabling easy hook ups with tours, exploring the city market, and enjoying some of the nearby restaurants and resorts.
The rooftop was a great place to hang out in the early morning while waiting for your preordered breakfast cooked by Ezra.
The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and AC adequate. The water pressure was good enough. This is an older building that once was a private residence. The outside noises of the city were very noticeable. Barking dogs and motorcycles zooming could keep one awake. Bring earplugs!
- Tammie (7/5): Good option for a short stay, especially if you like being near the busy centre - Very close to town centre, clean and spacious room, free parking for our rented car (we might have had the only spot though). Very noisy all the time but fortunately my earplugs worked pretty well. The bed was comfortable but has a plastic protector which causes an issue if you sweat. Showers are not hot, more like barely lukewarm. Breakfast was ok, but you are eating outside no matter what time even if it is cold out. It was unseasonably cold at night while we were there.
- Patrick (10/5): - Staff were great Dogs barking all night.
- Heather (8/5): Great location near the heart of San Ignacio! - Breakfast was great on the rooftop and prepared early for us due to our early departure for tour of ATM and Xunantunich Mayan Ruins. The staff did our laundry for us too for $7 US. We also were in easy walking distance of restaurants/shops and particularly Ken's Sports Bar to watch the US NFC Championship game! The need to pay in cash for laundry instead of it being added to our bill.

- federica (7/5): Carino ..
- Ruth (9/5): -
- Leah (8/5): Good location for a couple days. - Good location. Standard room ..good breakfast Pretty loud with outside noise in am. Garbage day?
- Maria (9/5): Clean and Comfortable Guest House with Good Value for a Family of 4 - The location is within walking distance to town, restaurants, bus stop, and the market. The family room with hammock is big, clean, has AC, small fridge, free drinking water in dispenser, and comfortable beds. The front desk lady is very nice, and she helps us figure out transportation options to Guatemala. We also enjoyed the rooftop terrace at night. The bathroom floor can be a bit slippery when wet and the neighbors start cleaning-up at 7AM =)
- Floyd (10/5): I would very much recommend a stay at Arnold’s. - The ladies managing the hotel are so sweet and very efficient- also the young man in the kitchen - top notch. The hotel is a great location- very clean and quiet at night - would recommend All good
- Frank (8/5): Ideal location for San Ignacio - To reach the hotel it is quite a bit of trekking uphill, best is to get a taxi if you arrive at the main bus stop at the entrance of town. The hotel is very basic, fortunately with air-conditioning, room was large. The beds were a bit done. Restaurants are near-by, so are some shops - location is very good.
The owner ladies are very friendly and recommended some activities in the vicinity. Some noisy guests in the adjacent room making it difficult to sleep, the apartments are not very sound proof.
- EMILY (10/5): -
- Latresa (9/5): Everything was great: location, staff, excursions. - The location was central to many of the activities that I was looking to do while in San Ignacio. The area is very walkable both day and night. The included breakfast of fresh fruit and toast is enough to get the day started. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helped me book some excursions. I would highly recommend this place. Nothing. Everything was fabulous. Would highly recommend.
- Thomas (8/5): - Nice and friendly Hotel. Tours can be arranged there by significantly lower price than online.
- Karina (9/5): - Hilfsbereite und herzliche Mitarbeiter
Preiswert und nah am Geschehen,
Wasser und Kaffee wird zur Verfügung gestellt
Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück und auch Abendessen (am 01. Januar)
Möglichkeit die Wäsche waschen zu lassen Hellhörig
- Brooke (9/5): We had a comfy one night stay! - The beds were huge and very comfortable. Best sleep I’ve had in my 3 weeks in Central America. There was complimentary basic breakfast items which was nice to grab before our next shuttle. It is very basic. If I had to nitpick I would say it could be decorated more nicely.
- ying (8/5): good spot to stay in San Ignacio - the location was close to the main strip, really friendly & accommodating staff - my flight was delayed and threw my arrival date and time into chaos but they were really accommodating with helping me sort out my room booking. i had room 4, the shower was quite weak and didn't provide a lot of hot water.
- Zachary (10/5): -
- Zuzana (6/5): Guesthouse run by lovely ladies - Guesthouse is run by two lovely ladies. They arranged a tour to Caracol, provided nevessary info how to visit Xunantunich and recommended really good restaurants. They offer a la carte breakfast for $15BZ per person. Breakfast start at 6:30 so you are able to make it before the tours, just you need to order the day before. Room was huge, with the fridge, microwave and coffee machine (for filtered coffee). Walking distance to restaurants. Well, given the room and nice ladies it was difficult for me to decide for overall rating. The reason is noise from the street. It looks like in San Ignacio they love motorbikes and the hotel is a top a hill, close to many roads. Saturday night was terrible with roaring motorbikes engines all around till late night. The windows can not be closed, so you hear everything. Sunday night was better but still we did not sleep well. I know the hotel can not do anything about it, but it you are light sleeper, you might not like it that much.
- Lia (9/5): Kind and thoughtful spot in heart of San Ignacio town - Enchanting old building in heart of town and short walk to AJAX chocolate and San Ignacio market.
Very accommodating front desk and cook. On site complimentary breakfast was awesome. Nearby bar and city movement was loud, but we were there over New Year’s, and it is right in town!
- Tanya (9/5): Great value and great staff! - Very well located from everything!!
- Cynthia (9/5): Good value, walking distance to everything in the city. - Clean, well kept, very sweet and thoughtful breakfast to order. Staff was wonderful in helping to arrange excursions, made stay in the city much easier to navigate. Kind of a noisy location.
- Jörg (9/5): Gute Unterkunft. - Tolle Fachzerasse. Laute Motorräder in der Nachbarschaft.
- Eoin (10/5): -
- Nicholas (8/5): -
- Michael (10/5): -
- Vera (8/5): - The staff, Annie and Teresa were fantastic hosts. They were extremely kind and helpful. The guesthouse was very well located, in a quiet location just steps from town. All was good
- Juan de Dios (10/5): -
- Adam (9/5): - Location to town, breakfast was fantastic, laundry service was amazing
- Kurt (7/5): -
- Whitlatch (10/5): Good stay. - Nice, quiet location. Comfortable bed.
- Marian (10/5): - Comfortable bed, very good hospitality, terrace and rooftop spaces and very spacious rooms. Early morning church bells
- Josef (10/5): - We liked everything about our stay here. It was great value relative to the area. The rooms are spacious, there's always hot water, and the beds are comfortable. The hotel is in walking distance to loads of tasty food, the Iguana Sanctuary and tour companies. The staff are very kind as well, and the breakfast was great!

- Kambiz (8/5): -
- Luke (9/5): - The property is in a great location, room was very spacious and had all the facilities needed. The staff were very helpful with recommendations and booking tours for us.
- Loretto (8/5): -
- Jessica (10/5): -
- Judit (10/5): - A lovely family-run hotel with spacious rooms. The hot water and water pressure were excellent. The room included many thoughtful touches (see my photos) such as an ironing board and iron, microwave, coffee and tea facilities, and even a hammock.
The family who run the hotel are wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with any questions. The location is very convenient, as the town is small and everything is nearby.
There is also a rooftop area, still under development, with plenty of space to hang clothes to dry.
I would happily stay here again. The only drawback for me was the mattress, which was too soft.
- Andrew (8/5): Spacious room in central San Ignacio. Good stay. - Big room and adjoining bathroom. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, excellent WiFi (upgraded whilst I was there!). Room even had a hammock installable if required. Room (number 6) was on top floor so rooftop view readily accessible. Clothes line available but also laundry service if needed. Fans (ceiling and upright) and A/C (much needed). Hotel organises tours. Simple but filling breakfast of toast and fresh fruit. Located in central San Ignacio, a few minutes from shops, restaurants, bars, etc. During daytime the room was sweltering until cooled by the A/C (which thankfully only took a few minutes). I had issue with coffee maker which wasn't addressed (no real issue as I used microwave and instant coffee instead).
- Mina (10/5): -
- darrriap (10/5): - Reasonably priced guest house with very nice staff.
- Gidi Hendriks (10/5): San Ignatio at Arnold's place! - Very friendly staff, on the edge of the city centre and price wise really good. Nice small breakfast included.
- W (7/5): -
- Roza (9/5): I recommend staying here close to town and very nice family host - Very nice and helpful family ! Great location and rooms are quite big !
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing & helpful staff. Very welcoming!
- Amor-ross (8/5): Very good -
- Anna (7/5): Good - Big rooms, comfy beds, warm shower, rooftop to dry your clothes, decent breakfast. If you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs and eye mask. Friendly ladies running the hotel. No frills, good price - all we needed.
- Ken (9/5): Superb -
- Yi (10/5): Wonderful stay - A wonderful hotel with a very thoughtful host. No matter how early you wake up, there will always be coffee, bread, and fresh fruit brought to you. Booking tours through them is also a great option — the prices are better, and everything is well arranged. The room is clean, comfortable, and fully equipped. The location is very convenient, right in the city center. I’m really happy I chose to stay here! none
- Christine (8/5): Very good - Staff was super friendly and helpful . Helped me book shuttles to and from San Ignacio. Also helped with laundry quickly and loaned me an umbrella to use. Really pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable and ac worked well in the room. Room was very spacious. Fruit in the morning was delicious! Th shower wasn’t really hot. It was cold, and if the hot came on it was scalding for a bit and then went back to cool. So basically took cold showers both nights.
- I (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (9/5): Superb - Great location. Friendly staff. Large room. Our room was quite large but because of the location on the top floor it took about 6 hours for the room to cool off with the air conditioner and both fans. The staff can fix this by turning on the AC hours before you arrive. If check in is at 3pm, the room doesn't get cool until 10pm.
- Isabelle (9/5): Superb -
- Devon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michele (10/5): Exceptional - Great position, warm hospitality super clean
- Alecia (10/5): Great stay for a family of three backpacking throughout Belize to relax and get good rest. - Very large family room for three of us to spread out with air conditioning. Loved having a simple breakfast available in the mornings. Air conditioning and bath room were were good. It was with in walking distance to the town and local public bus. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - Best location and clean condition Nothing
- Kevin (10/5): Great guesthouse in San Ignacio - Friendly staff, easy check-in and easy to book tours with their help. Free breakfast was good and water cooler was exceptionally useful on the hot days. Nothing.
- Chay (8/5): Adequate stay for a short stay in San Ignacio. Friendly staff! - Staff was very friendly. It is 2 blocks from the main stretch, but can be a bit dark when walking back at night. Room was a little basic, but adequate. Shower did not seem to have hot water. Common area can be a little nicer done up perhaps.
- James (9/5): Superb -
