• Mehdi (8/5): Parfait - L'emplacement est parfait dans un quartier calme et tranquille juste à 8 minutes du centre ville d'Ottawa j'ai beaucoup apprécié la propreté qui est très importante pou moi, la climatisation est excellente. Présence de quelques insectes a cause du manque du moustiquaire sur les fenêtres.

• Ishihito (8/5): Very good - Solid location, great value. The host was very helpful as well! All of the appliances were new and two thumbs up for the built-in parking. It was rather cold inside... the living room needs a more powerful heater. That being said, put on some layers and it shouldn't be a major issue.

• Corey (7/5): Good - Access to kitchen utensils. Beds were comfortable, but note all three are double/fulls so a tighter sleep if used to a queen. Loved having the vertical fans in each bedroom. Multiple mirrors around the place made getting ready easier when the bathroom was busy. There is a unit above this and they were a bit noisy quite late above. Lack of any towel rails or hooks in the bathroom or bedrooms was inconvenient. Better lighting at the front door would be good, although we did arrive in pouring rain and dark. Spare linen to make up the couch as a bed would be useful given the smaller bed sizes. Front bedrooms would have benefited from heavier blackout curtains for light sensitive people.

• Dawit (9/5): Fantastic stay - The house and the location are amazing. The house is clean bright. 👌🏽 Very close to Ottawa, the neighborhood is so quiet for a good sleep. At first, I thought the back door wasn't locking. It needed a bit of a force.
• Curtis (10/5): A delightful stay in Gatineau - Wow! What a great stay. The location is convenient with a car, and a thirty-minute walk to museums, restaurants, and parks. Our host was always quick to respond to our questions. The house is tidy, well-appointed, and comfortable for a family. We never heard outside noise and the off-street parking was right by the back door. The full kitchen made for easy meals, including dishes, pans, a coffeemaker, and even a blender. Check-out was easy. We look forward to our next stay. Access to local TV channels other than just streaming options would be nice. But that is a minor issue. Otherwise, a perfect stay.
• Malgorzata (9/5): Nice, newly renovated, well equipped house. Perfect for longer family stays. - This is an old, but newly renovated, house. There are 3 bedrooms, which are all equal sizes (not huge, but big enough) and furnished very comfortably, in the same fashion. The interior is clean (although the baseboards and a few spots in the bathroom could be cleaner). The kitchen is well equipped. Airconditioner in the kitchen works well. There are fans in the bedrooms and the corridor, which distribute cold air through the house, so the temperature is comfortable everywhere. The location is good, if you have a car (which we had). I cannot comment on convenience of commuting using public tranport. Close to the History Museum, which is one of the main attractions in Ottawa. The host is very responsive; he quickly answered all our quesitons, even late at night. We did not like cold bulbs in the house. The interior is all white and gray, so with cold light, the house did not feel cozy. A bigger minus is that there is just one bathroom, which does not have any towel hangers in it. I think the renovation was done recently and the host can surely make small alternations that will make the house perfect for renters. Here is what I would do: change the bulbs to 'warm light', throw a few colorful pillows or buy some other colorful accessories, add towel hangers in the bathroom, buy a better dish rack to give your new conutertop a longer life, and add a few more plates, caps and cutlery (the current inventory is enough for 4 people but not for 6, although the bedrooms can easily accomodate so many). In the long term: clean the area behind the back door (I think cats used to use it) and organize the area around the house (currently it looks quite neglected). Overall, I think the house is perfect for longer stays, suitable for a family with kids or a group of friends. We felt comforatable there.
