Lauren (2/5): Poorly maintained and badly managed - Location was good and lovely big garden. The property unfortunately hadn't been well maintained prior to our stay. Light bulbs weren't working and needed to be screwed in by us; there was a thick layer of dust covering the books underneath the coffee table and worst of all, the smoke alarms had not been checked on daylight savings as required and both went flat during our stay - with the second waking us at 2am on the last night. We were unable to stop the beeping despite removing the battery and ended up having to remove it and place it in the garden for the night where it continued to beep until our departure. This was made more disappointing by the fact that we had reported this to the provider twice the day prior - once at 830am on the emergency number and once at 10am in person to the Aireys Office. We were told on both occasions that somebody would attend and nobody did. Our entire family got no sleep on the last night and we had children crying and distressed. There has been no attempt from the owners nor agent to apologise for this situation despite us calling four times since and speaking to four different people. I think unless some TLC is going to be given to this property, it's best avoided.
