Guest Reviews
- Zerbato (8/5): Comfortable - Cosy It states 2 bathrooms but it’s 1 and a outside toilet
- Dumbleton (3/5): - Fire hazard as only one exit worked. We were asked to liase with locksmith to fix problem. Dirty.
- Bernadette (6/5): - That it was comfortable, clean, spacious and had cooking facilities. Access to front door unavailable.
Needs lighting at the back door.
A washing machine can be useful.
A welcome pack on arrival (milk, bread)
TV inadequate. Needs to big bigger.
- Guest (10/5): - I loved having a whole house and having access to a kitchen. parking was very handy and there were plenty of heating options, which was exceptional for the time of year. Finding the code for the lockbox was somewhat confusing, however we worked it out in the end.
- PatidaH (7/5): We have a nice stayed. - Not far to drive to any where in town and clean.
- Dianne (6/5): Pleasant - Beds were comfortable. Nice atmosphere. Well equipped. Heating needs a service. Couch in lounge really needs to face tv. TV too small couldn't see it from across the lounge. No electric blankets.
- Rishworth (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Place was comfortable and clean, great price and great location.
- Janet (9/5): Very relaxing except unit was on a main road and was very noisy early in.the morning and at night - There was no breakfast, we took our own food. The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great No dishcloths in kitchen and cotton pillowcases. The pillowcases had raised patterns, with wooly type material and were uncomfortable to sleep on.
- Rhonda (1/5): Sleepless in Ballarat - Runny water. Electricity. Loud traffic all day and night
Lack of sleep in an uncomfortable bed
Only one bathroom when two were advertised and paid for. When I contacted the property owner they stated that an outdoor toilet constituted a second bathroom. !!!!!!
Lack of enough cooking facilities
No power connections to the bed side tables. The cords were just stretched out along the floor but no power point connections.
Human hair on the used soap that was set up for our use.
No actual frame to use the grill. Just the tray making it impossible to use it without burning your fingers.
I immediately contacted the property and asked for a cancellation of which was refuted with lies about how the property was advertised.
The bench top was damaged so a wooden slab was glued over it then painted white. Over time it had been used by previous tenants hence it’s now all cut and extremely unhealthy to use.
Someone needs to follow up on this property as I’ve now read other reviews. I’m booked with bookings. Com again in Sydney and this will be my last. There’s no confidence of a good standard and relaxing holiday if this is your standard
- Van (7/5): Good - The lounge and chairs were very small. We are tall people and had trouble getting comfortable.
- Michele (6/5): Pleasant - It was in great location. Up the road from sovereign hill and around corner from hotel which had great food. The house was old but reasonably comfortable The bed in master bedroom was uncomfortable. The towels were old and threadbare. The house is advertised as having hot tub which it doesn't.
- Andrew (5/5): Bit disappointed with no washing machine when there was a a laundry with a troph. - Cleanliness No washing machine, carpet (prefer no carpet in living areas)
- Doll (8/5): Very good -
- Gabrielle (8/5): comfortable and clean - very good location was close to sovereign Hill and kryal castle unit was comfortable and clean not enough cooking utensils eg... tongs, masher, oven trays and can opener
- Maxine (8/5): Good, convenient and priced right - Unit met our needs. Very clean, old in style but functional. Close to the pub and IGA. Off street parking for two cars and good outside entertainment. A second toilet is outside also. Some tongs would be nice and another cooking pot as we cooked more than ate out.
- Tammy (8/5): Happy with the accommodation and host experience. - Spacious, warm, tidy, clean, off street parking, secure, two toilets, central location, communicative hosts, easy access, carpeted for warmth underfoot, TV streaming services, wifi. Main bed was very hard.
- Jade (1/5): Really disappointed in this place. Seems to have been slapped to look ‘presentable’ after a cheap sale. - Not much unfortunately. Location was okay for where we were working. Sadly the photos make it look a lot nicer than it actually is. The beds were as hard as rocks. Worst sleep of my life, which wasn’t great considering I was there for work.
The tv was wayyyy too small for the area. Very limited kitchen utensils and cutlery considering it’s a whole house.
The house and walls weren’t very clean, no proper cleaning seemed to have been done before our arrival.
Shower had open hole where there was once a hand rail (?) and half of the shower head was blocked. The house had been painted all over with roof paint on all the walls leaving it looking really shotty. Gas heater not operational. Bins were full. The whole house smelt like death, I don’t have a better word for the smell. We use accommodation a lot for work, and this was the worst experience we’ve had with a holiday rental. Ever.
- Amy (7/5): Cosy accommodation - The location was great. For the middle of winter, the heating was okay.
Handy non-slip bath mat. Needs a better mattress in the main bedroom.
Missed not having a washing machine and dryer. However, I did discover a laundromat about 500 metres away.
Water pressure in the shower could be improved.
- Marc (10/5): 👍🏻👍🏻 - Everything! Nothing
- Skye (10/5): Exceptional - Neat and tidy. Close to everything The shower needs attention. No washing machine.
- Jo (7/5): Good - Clean, comfortable and warm Water supply to shower might need some attention.
- Cheryl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Naphat (9/5): Superb -
- Fiona (10/5): Very comfortable and clean accommodation. - Very roomy two bedroom house. Exceptionally clean and well presented with new appliances. Comfortable beds and furniture. Outdoor furniture a nice touch. Very minor - no bottle opener and dish cloth. Access is via York St, not Main Road - just a bit confusing on arrival but fine after that.
