- Wanderlust2016 (6/5): Pricey but functional cute cabin, remote and mainly for younger people. Could improve service. - I liked the location if you like VERY remote. The cabin is set in a lovely part of the outskirts of Cerro Castillo. There were tons of hares and it was quiet. The cabin is cute and well equipped. We had some issues along the road and let our host know we would be coming in late. It is NOT easy to get to the cabin when it is dark. There is no signaling once you are on the dirt road and it is far and there is no cel signal. Once you enter the main gate, it was hard to find the cabin as well, because there isn't clear signage, in fact we had to go past another cabin's yard. During the day it is much easier. Our host did not meet us despite the fact we came in at night and it was difficult to get the key and to get the pellet heater to work. It kept going off and took us a while to light it. She said it was late and would not come. The cleaning lady had not cleaned the heater out so our host said, sorry but you will have to clean it so it works. The fridge had a pool of water in it, not sure it was working properly. The wall in front of the toilet was dirty, needed paint. The living room is not very comfortable, although it is functional for young people. Not ideal for elderly people as there aren´t many comfy places to sit, and the beds are on the ground level, so it is hard to get up. It is also not a good place to stay on your way to the airport as it is far from the highway - it says 10 km but it is a bad road. In gral it is a cute cabin in a nice location but not meant for a lot of people comfortably nor for a long period. The management needs to do better quality control of cleaning and funcional aspects. We felt that for the price, our arrival could have been handled better and knowing we would be late and signaling is bad, they should have left a light on so we could find the cabin and the fire going to greet us as it was cold and raining. We also saw there was a hot tub and no one asked if we would like to use it so it was covered. Would have been nice. Finally, I was not told you need a 4x4 until I had paid. For reference, we were two couples, one elderly.
- Fan (6/5): View super, but facilities not that good regarding the price. - The location is super. Although it is a bit hard to arrive there, the road condition is not good and the room is located in the very middle of the mountain. But the view is excellent and we enjoyed our time being just us there. The kitchen facilities are not very good. Oven not easy to use, kitchen not quite clean. And do prepare everything you need to make dinner at this place.

- Frederick (9/5): Fantastic 4 night stay in paradise. - Cabin 3 has a fantastic view of the mountains. There are plenty of dishes and glassware. The cabin could sleep six, with four people in twin beds upstairs in a loft. If you have a 4X4, the property is in a fantastic location for day hikes to Mirador Laguna Cerro Castillo and the campground Neozelandes/Laguna Duff. In mid-December, we burned the pellet stove in the morning, but did not need heat at night. Lots of rabbits for company. There are no window coverings in the bathroom or master bedroom, both of which lack privacy (there are no neighbors with line of sight views, and there is some protective brush, but people staying in the other 4 cabins did wander the property in the evening). There are some quirky things about operating equipment that would benefit from additional written instructions in the cabin. Additional hooks for hanging clothing would be helpful.
- Sabrina (9/5): Wonderful, whimsical stay in a remote location, not accessible in every vehicle. - Stunning cabin in a stunning location. Everything about the space was as we hoped. The views of Cerro Castillo and cerro chocolate are incredible. Nice bathroom and kitchen set up. While not a problem for us as gravel bikers, the property description needs to make the site access more clear. It is down a 4 wheel drive only road.
The property would be improved why adding window screens (there are big biting flies in the area) and more comfortable furniture (particularly the couch). But overall, we loved this property.
- le “parking” n’est pas à 15 minutes mais à 3,2 km, soit plus de 45 minutes de marche sans bagages ;
- le chemin d’accès est difficilement praticable à pied avec des bagages, en raison de la distance, du dénivelé, de portions abîmées et d’un passage qui se transforme en rivière sur plus de 300 metres;
- Shreyas (10/5): Epic views, epic cabin and the best place for a group of friends to experience Cerro Castillo! - The cabin and the views were stunning! So private with such modern amenities.
