• Ceballos Palomera (8/5): - El huesped fue muy amable, nos alojamos en dos apartamentos (eramos un grupo de 5) y nos reacomodo en dos que no tuvieramos que compartir con nadie más. Un patio muy comodo y pudiendo desayunar alli. Estaba bastante alejado del centro turistico (20mins andando cuesta arriba) pero muy bien para aparcar y con comercios cerca.

• Fation (10/5): Comfortable place and great value, the guy who was the owner was very helpful and communicative - The house was great as we expected, spacious and good value, the guy who was the owner was very helpful and communicative
• Martha (7/5): - Good water pressure and temperature in the shower, washing machine was great, location was handy for groceries and a few restaurants. Free parking is on the street and there was never a problem finding a space close by while we were there. The host is very personable and quick to respond. An attendant came daily, or more, to sweep the common patio space. The property was clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies and laundry detergent. The walk to old town is 15 minutes uphill - 100 m of elevation. The bedroom faces the road and vehicles are very loud as they pass - at all hours. It dies down but does not fully stop around 11 pm, but starts again around 6 am. You can also hear the voices of pedestrians. The layout of the apartment is awkward with no real seating space save for the small table in the kitchen. No coffee maker or even kettle.
• Marie (7/5): Week-end découverte à Gjirokastër - Nous avons été bien accueillis, mais il y aussi une boîte à clefs. Le stationnement dans la rue était facile et la petite cour était sympa. Il y a la présence d'un lave linge dans une grande salle de bain. Il faisait froid dans l'appartement dû au carrelage et au rdc avec peu d'ensoleillement, mais avec le chauffage de l'appareil de climatisation cela a pu être réglé (sauf dans la salle de bains). La rue est assez passante donc il vaut mieux fermer les voilages en journée pour rester en intimité. La cuisine est trop petite pour 4 personnes, il n'y avait d'ailleurs qu'une petite table et deux chaises.

• Wouter (10/5): Lovely appartement just outside of the busy streets - Perfect appartement to stay in. We could park indient of the apartment ar the side of the street. The appartement itself was equiped with a clothing rack, a kettle, and a fridge. The bathroom was clean and looked quite new. Overal a lovely appartement were we would stay again! Just know that the appartement is located outside the house or center. For is this was not a problem at all since we had a car of we could just walk up!

The host responded quickly and tried his best to accommodate us well, sharing information we asked for. I wish the wifi had been as good as it says in the ad.

• Dilip (10/5): Great location for those who needs to use public transportation. - The owner was responsive to messages and call. He met us at the time of check in. The apartment was super clean and tidy. Though room was not so big but loved how room was arranged. It is over 5mins walk from bus station to apartment. The owner let us keep our belongings in the room even after the check out time while we visited the castle. Also helped us with bus enquiries to our next destination. The apartment is located on ground floor closer to road so some noises from outside, though it is not main road hardly any noise at late night but for those with light sleep it might be a problem. We slept without any disturbances and it was very comfortable stay for us.
• Debra (9/5): Superb - The room was cosy, comfortable, an easy walk from the bus stop, the Old Town and castle (although these last two are both uphill and quite challenging on foot). They very nicely gave me an electric kettle upon my request. And breakfast was delicious at a cute little table outside the door. One whole day it rained heavily while I was there and had to remain inside nice and snug. Water on the bathroom floor from the shower as happens at so many places. There is a mop and broom outside which is helpful.

• Eva (9/5): Staying outside of the crowded old town - Ideal place for few days, equipped with everything that we needed - incl. a washing machine. Though it's located a bit far away from the historical center, but not too far away and this way one can get to know the other areas of the town. There are grocery shops, pastry shops, restaurants close to the apartment. The host was very friendly and checking in was easy, too. Due to the apartment's location it's a bit dark inside, but I think that this is an advantage in the summer months, when it's too sunny and too hot outside.

• Mark (9/5): Fabulous new apartments and friendly host - Lovely new apartment, well furnished and very comfortable. We received a wonderful welcome and enjoyed our stay in Gjirokastër. The walk up into the old town was fine, 15 mins and quite scenic. Finding the apartment and parking was easy. There is a great bakery close by and lady down the road makes a mean ‘Freddo Cappuccino” Nothing.

You have plenty of space to park your car and a garden to sit outside. The supermarkets nearby have reasonable prices not tourist prices. Would come back on my next trip. Nice place for a short stay in Gjirokaster, no parking problems so if you have a car you can stay outside of the crowded tourist area. Very comfortable beds, all amenities worked and the host was very nice :)
• Filipe (7/5): A night in Gjirokasted - The location is quite convenient for people traveling by public bus as the bus stop at Gjirokaster is at a short walking distance (8 min). Also access to the center of Gjirokaster is easy, as you can reach it with a 20-25 min walking (up the hill). The room is perfect for a one night to visit the town. The room has a flat TV (no channels), AC and a small private bathroom. Located in the ground-floor, access to the street is made through a gate that the owner closes at night (you'll still have access to open). Owner is very friendly and helpful making sure you have everything you need. Payment is made in cash so be prepared. Nothing to declare.

Aparcadoiro na rúa, sen problemas, zona tranquila. A subida até o BAZAR é moi pina e difícil para quen tenha problemas de mobilidade. O pequeno almorzo está moi lonxe de valer os 5€.

• Love (7/5): Good - Street parking. No shower curtains in the bathroom, the floor get wet after shower. The booking is included breakfast but the host said that was for last year's terms. After showing booking confirmation, the breakfast was provided but very simple and basic. It's not worth 5 Euro per pax. Not recommended to take the breakfast.

• Mykola (9/5): Very good place for a short stay - Very nice and friendly family, they offer a good breakfast and tasty compliments, excellent communication Good location - 5 minutes from bus station and 15-20 minutes from the castle Big and nice room, very comfortable bed, a/c, big and comfortable bathroom, Netflix. Kitchen is good to make any salads, sandwiches. There’s a fridge, kettle, sharp knife, olive oil, salt. Everything is clean. You can see mountains from the window. As a bonus, host family has a super cute, smart and friendly cat, which never disturbs you, but always is willing to play ;) There’s a stovetop, but if you’re into cooking - it’s complicated due to bad kitchen ventilation.
• Toni (10/5): A five star studio with superb hosts! Highly recommended - An absolute 5 star property! Tan and is family were excellent hosts - warm, welcoming, proactive and unobtrusive. The room is so well fitted out - decor was subtle and tasteful; the kitchen was surprisingly very well equipped for a studio, and the little things like the candles were an excellent addition. Breakfast was delightful, flavoursome and plenty - clearly prepared with love. Located just a short way up the cobbled streets with the option of parking, it’s a great option for those not keen on driving further up to the very windy roads of the old town. Absolutely nothing!

• Kimo191188 (9/5): Highly Recommend - This is a great little apartment for one or a two night stay. Apartment was really clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was all homemade and plentiful. Walking distance to see the sights of Gjirokaster and where the buses pick up and drop off. Yes you do have to walk up the big hill to the Old Town and Castle but it really is not that bad. Owners were lovely and friendly, even if they didn't speak little or no English. Highly recommend this apartment. Nothing

Great location, near to a supermarket and new town. A steep walk to the old. Perhaps the kitchenette could do with a microwave and more crockery and cutlery. Small niggle

• Theresia (10/5): Wonderful apartment at the foot of the old town - The apartment is very nice, absolutely well equipped, comfy beds and perfectly clean. It is good to reach by car, free parking was available right in front of the house. Much better than having to drive uphill on the narrow and steep roads. The host and his wife were amazing. Helpful from the beginning, always available and very nice. They even gave as a little welcome snack and made us wonderful breakfast with homemade specialties. We can highly recommend DOUBLE17 in any case when coming to Gjirokastra.

• Cassandra (10/5): Beautiful apartment for a small family - Beautifully designed and maintained apartment! Big enough for a small family or group with a kitchenette included. Everything worked perfectly including the Wi-Fi and tv which had Netflix. The host and his family are incredibly kind and live just next door in case you need anything. Parking was always available nearby and it is dog friendly!

Beds are comfortable, airconditioning works good and shower works good. You also have your own fridge. You cannot close the shower curtains. It stays open. But with 2 towels you're good.

• Nathan (10/5): Great stay in Gjirokaster! - The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. We appreciated being able to wash our laundry and were surprised to have it folded for us! Breakfast was very nice and had some variety with fresh juice each morning. They even took us to the bus station on our last day! Remember it is cash only. I embarrassingly made the mistake of thinking a different hotel’s charge was this one. The host graciously took me to an atm to withdraw cash before catching my bus.

• Alenka (10/5): Exceptional - Hosts are very kind and helpful. I did really feel welcome. They also offered to drive me to the old town, which is a short but uphill walk. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a nice cup of homemade herbal tea and a cake. Nice welcome gesture! Freshly picked cherries were also on the table. The property is easy to find, close to the main road, but on a relatively quiet street. You can park in the courtyard in front of the apartment inside the locked gate. The apartment is new and functioning. Very clean, also the bathroom. The room is big enough, with a comfortable bed. It is nicely furnished, with several books on the shelves. Tiny kitchen is in a separate room (although I did not use it as there were many excellent, affordable restaurants in town). Breakfast was delicious, especially freshly prepared soft fried dough, home-made cherry marmalade and fresh fruits. There was a slight bad smell from the drain in the bathroom, but the owner tried very best to resolve (minimize) the problem using automatic fresheners (and it worked well).

• Maxence (10/5): Home away from home - A lovely flat, close to the town center, with a lovely owner who really took care of us. Greeted us with drinks and was very quick to answer any of our questions. Safe inner courtyard to store our bikes. Everything is brand new and in perfect condition ! Decided to stay a third night as we felt right at home. Ground floor, on a busy street during the day (good blinds on every window for privacy), street is calm AT night so we didnt monde at all. Maybe a few utensils missing in the kitchen to cook properly but that can be easily fixed. No major downside 🤩
