Guest Reviews
- Keith (10/5): -
- Lela (10/5): -
- Mindy (9/5): - Lots of stairs!
- Megan (7/5): Clean but noisy, lots of stairs. - Very clean. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Very noisy, possibly the air exchange system, I’m not sure, that made it difficult to sleep. Almost like a large truck idling throughout the night. Weird amount of stairs that wasn’t great for me as a cancer patient.
- Stephen (10/5): - Perfectly placed for touring about the old city.
Staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. Nothing
- Pascale (10/5): -
- Bridget (9/5): Enjoyed the very attentive service, location and the cozy fireplace in lobby. - Extremely good service and lovely setting and lobby. Room was narrow , not unexpected for middle of city, but not enough chairs to sit on for reading, dressing.
- susan (9/5): Relaxing, comfortable stay - Staff, great location.
- Danielle (10/5): Beautiful stay! - Great location and wonderful stay!
- Jane (9/5): -
- Penelope (9/5): We chose well - the perfect place from which to explore Montreal during our short stay. - Great location, very comfortable, with great staff. We enjoyed our stay. We would have liked an inclusive rate that included breakfast.
Sound proofing between rooms wasn’t always effective!
- Delphine (10/5): -
- Alistair (10/5): If we ever visit Montreal again we will stay here. - Staff were friendly and helpful.
Bed was very comfortable and bathroom well equipped.
Food in the 2 attached restaurants was excellent. There was nothing we didn’t like.
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Henry (10/5): -
- Young (10/5): Outstanding - Staff were wonderful. Rooms are beautiful. Will be going back for sure N/A
- Paul (8/5): Enjoyable stay in the old town - Best shower ever, comfy bed, good wifi, nice bar/lounge
- Guest (9/5): -
- Marie (10/5): Excellent Hotel and Location - Room was lovely, great view of the river. Housekeeping excellent, loved the touch of bottled water and a daily chocolate left in the room. Huge comfy bed. Lovely soft bathrobes. Excellent location in Old Montreal.
- Arthur (10/5): -
- Linda (10/5): I’m sure that I will return to Montreal and can’t imagine just staying anywhere else at this point. - Everything. The location was perfect and the staff was exceptional. Nothing
- Joanna (8/5): Point de départ sympa pour visiter - Emplacement Bar/ restaurant ferme tôt
Isolation entre les chambres - Impression de vivre avec les voisins
- Harvey Goldberg (9/5): -
- Diana (10/5): Location, Location, Location! - Location of hotel was exceptional and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend!
- Bakker (8/5): Overall we thought it was a lovey hotel - It is a beautiful property inside and out, and a great location for walking old Montreal. Customer service was excellent - all the staff we met were very attentive and helpful. The pillows were really hard and we found the room was a little noisy - sounds from other guests in the corridors as well as outside noise during the night.
- Julie (9/5): Perfect hotel for our base in Montréal. - Beautifully appointed rooms, helpful staff, lovely atmosphere in the hotel. The shower was fantastic. The two restaurants were also excellent. We would definitely go back.
- Erica Judith (10/5): - Everything I don't like to stay just one night because its beautiful
- Marco (9/5): -
- Carlos (10/5): Amazing and would stay again! - We love the location close to everything, the room was wonderful with extremely comfortable beds… Only negative if it is, since the sunrises were so lovely the room is close to a little busier road and we couldn’t open the windows due to them being winterized yet it was 60 and it would have been nice to open and look outside with out the window glare?
- Scott (7/5): A nice stay - The staff. Very friendly and welcoming. We had an issue with our room and the manager resolved it much to our satisfaction.
- Mikhail (10/5): - Front desk staff were very helpful with addressing a noise issue, especially Melinda. Would definitely come back.
- Maria (8/5): - Cozy and friendly Restaurant service was slow
- alexandre (10/5): Très bon établissement - Le côté chic intemporelle Tout était nickel
- Kelsey (8/5): Beautiful well located hotel in Old Montreal. - Location was perfect. It would be even more wonderful in warmer weather. Beautifully appointed, historic, interesting and comfortable In the River Side first floor it was very loud in the morning with traffic, train and trash pickup. One person in our party slept through it, another woke every morning. The noise was temporary and they were able to sleep after.
- Jenny (9/5): -
- John (10/5): I had a wonderful stay, enjoyed all the sites in old Montreal. - Convenient to Vieux Montreal
- Pascale (10/5): -
- Jess (10/5): Perfect stay! - The room was spacious and included everything you might need. The view out over the river was also very nice (as for a room on a higher floor). A lot of meal options both in the hotel and in the area. Nothing
- louise (10/5): Warm friendly historic hotel. - Charming hotel with two superb eateries and lovely views. Staff are exceptional, both friendly and attentive, in therestaurants and lobby.
- Carol (10/5): - The staff were exceptional. Friendly and very accommodating.
- Vilija (10/5): -
- Don (10/5): -
- Sharon (7/5): - Close to museums. Bedside lamps not bright enough to read by.
No bright light for make up.
No kettle for tea.
- Catherine (8/5): - Bien situé dans le Vieux MTL. Super personnel. Bien équipé.
- jeremy (8/5): -
- Zullo (9/5): -
- Brooke (10/5): -
- Ty (10/5): Beautiful room, ideal location and friendly and helpful staff. - The staff were excellent. The location was ideal. It was very convenient to have two restaurants in the same building.
- ROBIN (9/5): -
- Candice (8/5): -
- Ronan (9/5): -
- Ibrahim Aykut (9/5): -
- Kerstin (8/5): Beautiful hotel in a great location - Beautiful old building right by the Old Port. Easy walking distance to all the lovely places in the Old Town. The two restaurants on site were both excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The walls separating the rooms are very thin and on our first morning we were woken up at 6am by the couple in the room next to us getting intimate, which was extremely awkward with our 10-year-old daughter. We could hear everything 😱
- MIchael (10/5): - Didn't have breakfast.
- Ana (10/5): -
- Jean-Carl (10/5): -
- Michael (10/5): -
- Keith (9/5): - Location! Parking is expensive
- Greg (10/5): Amazing - Great location Hot water in lobby was not hot enough
- John (4/5): When we arrived the electricity was only 50% working. - Very few guests in the hotel. The two restaurants were very nice.
Valet parking. The room was down a long winding hallway and down several steps. So odd that they gave us a mediocre room with so many empty rooms.
We had to walk thru slush coming and going to the hotel. Maybe they should learn how to shovel snow.
- Andi (10/5): -
- Keith (10/5): -
- G Alfred Jr (7/5): -
- Anne (10/5): 2nd time here. Lovely staff and great location. Special boutique hotel. - N/A Room noisy early
- Susan and Tim (7/5): - The actual property was great and the location!
Our room faced the river and our windows were floor to ceiling, which was wonderful and they opened! The mattress we slept on sagged and neither pillows nor the duvet were down.
Therefore, both were lumpy and hard to get comfortable for sleeping.
- Joseph (10/5): Want to give up your car for a week? Taxi on over to Auberge du Vieux-Port for a 7 night stay! - Auberge location is EXCELLENT in the heart of Old Montreal. No car required! ALL local sites are within walking distance:
- Restaurants - rooftops, French, Spanish, Italian, Asian Indian etc cuisine
- Transportation options to take us further; all very close: Hop on/Hop off bus, public transportation, St Lawrence cruise options/port and Uber being those that we used.
- Sites: all Old Montreal sites This facility, as most in Old Montreal, requires an individual's ability to travel up/down steps. Not ADA compliant.
- Kenneth (8/5): -
- John (9/5): Gaspar is a great restaurant -
- Kyle (9/5): -
- Brian (10/5): Great location/staff/ ambiance. We’ll be back. - Location, location, location!
Ambiance of the place
The fantastic staff We were in#408.
The bed needed a box spring.
- Sandra (10/5): Perfect. - Wonderful in every way. The staff was especially attentive, welcoming and efficient. A+
- John (10/5): Good location, great staff and very avant garde - very French! I loved the place. - The staff was exceptionally nice, friendly and helpful. There were three restaurants to choose from, and the food was excellent. The room was supplied with bottled water, turn down service, a chocolate, a safe and a large bathroom. The room was nicely furnished. No comment.
- Joshua (7/5): Nice Montreal Weekend - Cozy No breakfast and the restaurants were open at odd times.
- Meg (9/5): -
- Karen (10/5): -
- Ann (10/5): Beautiful accommodations, fantastic location, view of the water was exceptional. Restaurants (2) are worth booking! - The location, the staff and the restaurants! Valet parking is the only option. be prepared to wait for your car- their parking garage is a distance away.
- Lauren (10/5): Old-school charm, cozy, beautiful - an absolute must in Montreal - Absolutely loved everything about it. The beautiful Christmas decorations, the vintage decor, the exposed brick and stone walls, etc. We originally only planned to spend one night here but loved it so much we added a second on our way back through Montreal. We stayed in two different rooms and both were beautiful. We also loved hanging and having drinks in the cozy lobby/ground floor common area by the fireplace! The staff were all lovely, the location was great (we had a river view from our room) & a random but much appreciated bonus was the Le Labo toiletries, my favorite!!! Will definitely stay here again next time we're back in Montreal. Highly recommend.
- Sharon (8/5): -
- Monica (10/5): Excelente hospedagem - Quarto confortável , ótima localização, atendimento impecável pelos funcionários Qdo chegamos no andar, tinha escadas pra chegar no quarto
Com malas é complicado
- Jay (7/5): -
- Hideki (5/5): I wouldnt stay here again - The staff was amazing The noise was loud al the time. Bed was not comfortable.
- Mike (9/5): -
- Amy (10/5): Nice quaint hotel in the heart of the town. Looks likea Hallmark movie set. - This is the perfect location very quaint and pretty. The room we booked showed double windows and was larger the one we actually got was very small. The bathroom is tiny no room to put toiletries.
- Ryan (10/5): Great Old Montréal option - Great Old Montréal location. Waterfront park across the street with shopping, restaurants, and bars directly behind. The look of the hotel was very cool. Front desk and valet staff were great. I can't think of a single thing that we didn't like. Our expectations were exceeded at every turn.
- Jan (9/5): - Location, décoration of building Noisy neighboring room starting 06.00 am (we were in room 311)
- thomasina (10/5): -
- thomasina (10/5): -
- Martin (7/5): -
- William (10/5): - Pretty much everything. The atmosphere, the smiling staff, the accommodations, the location and the restaurant were great. Room 102. Our only concern was the inability to completely close the curtains. Lots of light spilling in from the outdoor lights at night and then when the sun comes up. Curtain rods that have 90 degree ends on them would allow the curtains to go back in toward the window frame space and would easily solve this.
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect spot for a three day visit to Montreal. - Fantastic boutique hotel in a lovely location. We enjoyed meals in both of the restaurants - high quality food and great service so we didn’t feel the need to go further afield in the evenings. There are a few stairs to some of the rooms so beware if you have heavy bags. No parking on site but the valet service is worth it.
- Paquet (9/5): - The decor is superb It was noisy during the night
- Nancy (10/5): -
- Lois (10/5): - The room looked and was so cosy. The bed was huge and so comfortable.
- Brown (10/5): Would stay again - Location. Decor. Very comfortable bed . Clean. Very helpful staff N/A
- Micaela (9/5): Central located hotel with old allure - The location is great; very central.
The building has history.
We had a great room, spacious and very clean. The bed was a dream.
The staff helpfully & friendly.
A shout out to Nicolas - working at the bar. The way he treats guests is an example to others. The elevator needs to be renewed.
Possibility for late check out would be a good extra option.
- Michael (10/5): This is the perfect place for a romantic getaway in the Old Port section of Montreal. - Great location, convenient, beautiful, charming, and cozy. There was nothing to complain about.
- THOMAS (10/5): Perfect stopover in the old port of Montreal - Historic boutique property, took me back in time and had all the amenities I could have asked for. It was all great!
