Guest Reviews
- Lesa (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed it will be back - Everything. The half open oven door it was a bit difficult
- Caroline (10/5): - This is such a beautiful, peaceful spot. The cottage has everything you need. It was spotless and very comfortable for a relaxing weekend away from everything. Handy for visiting the Japanese bathhouse nearby.
- Chris (10/5): Our three-night stay was one of the most enjoyable breaks we have experienced. So peaceful. - The site of the cottage. It sits alongside a stream and with plenty of places to sit comfortably and enjoy the quiet and the many birds that arrived to be fed. We were particularly impressed with the generosity of the hosts in equipping the cottage. There was nothing to dislike
- Mathew (10/5): Exceptional - The location was a dream
- Lesa (8/5): Well worth it - It was comfortable, we loved the wild life and it was close enough to amenities but far enough to be secluded. Nothing.
- Bonnie (10/5): A wonderful cottage in the countryside - If you want to be removed from the hustle and bustle of typical tourist areas, Rydal is a wonderful location to explore the Blue Mountains. The Old Oak Tree Cottage has everything a traveler could want, plus more. The hosts provided a wonderful assortment of kitchen and bathroom staples. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the electric blanket for the chilly nights.
A special treat was the can of bird seed on the patio for morning and afternoon feeding of the birds. We would book there again if we come back to the Blue Mountains. The local pub only served food on the weekend. If one did not feel like cooking, they had to drive back to Lithgow for an selection of restaurants.
