Guest Reviews
- Karen (5/5): authentic but missing some elements; friendly land lady - very friendly couple who offer some tea and cookies (they don't speak English so I tried to talk with them via translator app), the lady waited until my late arrival and carried my heavy suitcase, the view from this area is amazing (valley in mountains), quiet because it's a bit aside from the road, this place gives an idea how 'original' people really live there (basic) which is charming. I'm sorry to write this because the lady was really lovely but it's important to know how it is and you can choose yourself if these things are important to you or not.
Difficult to reach by car (should park further and bring suitcase uphill), bed was uncomfortable, bathroom wasn't clean enough, couldn't hang all the towels, and there were no covering curtains for privacy or light blocking.
- Cindy (10/5): Enjoyable stay at a lovely guesthouse - We had a lovely stay after the long hike from Valbona. This guesthouse was converted from a traditional stone house and looks new from inside. The beds are comfortable. Hot shower with good pressure. The owner lady is welcoming and lovely. She greeted us hot tea every morning and helped us arrange onward transport to Shkoder. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone. No food but it’s not a big deal. There are plenty of options around. In fact we prefer to have meal options rather than being tied to a guesthouse.
- Isabel (10/5): - Super nice hosts.
Teiple room on ground floor with bathroom.Clean, confortable, quiet
Restaurants 5 min walk from there
They made everything for us to feel comfi.
Thanks

- Słowik (10/5): Warm heart of Theth <3 - The owner is a lovely woman, she's such a warm and sweet person!!! The room was old fashioned, clean, got everything that's listed; blankets, slippers, towels etc. You can also get a delicious cup of tea in a quiet part of Theth with wonderful view and cozy vibes ;*

- Pauline (8/5): Nice, simple place. Great hosts - The place is very cosy and nice. The hosts are helpful and super, super friendly - really wonderful people. Cleanliness is 10/10. The place is cute and quiet (especially in Theth), good value for money. Unfortunately, our beds were really bad (super old & used) and the curtains in the rooms were completely see through. There might be better ones in other rooms though.
Access can be a bit tricky for some cars (our taxi dropped us a bit further down the gravel road - but our taxi back picked us up right at the door).
- Lilje (10/5): Perfect!! - The view is so beautiful, it’s lovely to sit outside and look out onto the mountains. The hostess was so kind. She was always smiling, generous, and very accommodating.
Faleminderit :)
- Benedict (8/5): A Lovely Home-Stay - I didn't realize Theth has become rampant with tourists, so upon my arrival I was ready to leave but as it was late and I was tired I found this place, which was the cheapest option, and stayed overnight. My hosts were very lovely people who have offered their home as accommodation. The amenities are minimal but the hosts kindness and community-building spirit shine above that. It's a very authentic Albanian experience. My cabin was small but I slept well and woke to an extraordinary view. It was my highlight of visiting Theth. Theth.. Lol. Too many tourists for my liking. After I left Theth I found the most extraordinary two villages that offered even more than Theth could in terms of being peaceful in complete nature and a true Albanian experience, and will keep them a best-kept secret :-)

- Pinhas (10/5): Very nice and warm - The property owner helped us a lot after rainy trek from Valbone to Theth with drying and washing our staff. Very hospitable and nice. Gave us very good advices for the best restaurants and also gave us vegetables from her garden. If you leave the window of the bathroom open there will be a lot of insects coming while closing it make the bathroom smelly.
- Jiří (7/5): - Nešla celý den elektřina. Příjezdová cesta pouze pro terénní vozidla. Špatně značený příjezd, trochu jsme hledali. Je to čistá stará chalupa. Ale venku přístup a příjezd nicmoc. Elektřina nešla celý den. Takže vše potmě. Některé chaty měli vedle agregáty. Takže asi častý jev. Člověk si nedobije telefony, hodinky atd. Jazykově uměli pouze Albánsky, ale přes překladač jsme to nějak dali. Špatně se to hledalo.
- Alicja (8/5): - The host is a lovely woman, she helped us when we got lost on the way to the property. Also she gave us some tea. The location is almost impossible to reach by car especially at night. Bathroom was not that clean but after all we had a nice time close to the mountain hikes.
- Violet (10/5): Hospitable, relaxed and enjoyable place to stay. - Beautiful place to stay on edge of town, and easy access to hikes and town etc would recommend for everyone. Very hospitable owners.

- Guest (10/5): Very pleasant. Lovely landlady and tea in the morning -
- Romy (10/5): Best stay in theth. - Favourite part of our stay was for sure the hostess. She was the sweetest lady and made us feel so welcomed. The room was so clean and tidy and had everything we needed. She also had a kitchen she kindly let us use. I really recommend you to stay here.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice accomodation! The owners are so helpful and lovely. It's very peaceful and clean here. No full curtains on the windows.
- Jozsef (10/5): Exceptional - They are very kind and helpful. Would recommend whole heartedly.
- Millicent (8/5): A Theth local gem - This was a sweet and authentic home stay. Both owners speaks no English but the lady tries her best and is super kind with everything. they had a fridge down the bottom and kitchen things you can borrow- she will happily use them and help when ever she can. Just use google translate if it gets tricky. It is a really interesting entrance to the property. Pretty much put it in your maps and walk there - you’ll go through some building site but it’s the right way. Once you walk up a hill like drive way hang a right and theres a little walking path to the house. There are restaurants nearby and the start of the blue eye track too although it is a 20km there and back hike if you’re walking from the accom!
- Sarah (9/5): Authentic experience of Theth - The hosts, Leze and Ded do not speak a word of English, but somehow, they made my stay so much more authentic and enjoyable. Leze spent a lot of time sitting with me under the umbrella in the garden. Every time, she offered me a drink. She showed me photos of her children and grandchildren, and photos of her and her husband wearing traditional outfits. Their house is 75 yo, more authentic than the brand new hotels in Theth.
No need of air-conditioning, the thick walls of the house keep it cool on hot days.
Very good wifi connection!
When I came walking from Valbone, it felt like it was at the end of the world. But eventually, the location is perfect to explore the area
- Alban (10/5): Exceptional -
- Voyagxanto (8/5): Great! - Excellent location with incredibly welcoming hosts! The room and bathroom were spacious. While a bit pricey, it's typical for this area.
- Siim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mohammed (10/5): Exceptional -
