• yaser (1/5): - لا شىء الفندق سىء جداً وماهو نظيف والمرافق سيئة مافي استقبال ولا لوبي الفطور سىء جداً وفي فندق ثاني الصور ما تعكس الفندق فالحقيقة ابداً والدليل انهم ماهم ضايفين صور اكثر مافي خدمة تنظيف الغرف حجزت اقامة 7 ايام جلست 4 ايام فقط واضطريت اغير الفندق مدخل الفندق يجيب الضيقه صغير جداً والمصعد صغير وما يتحمل اكثر من اثنين كل شىء كان سىء باختصار ولو يعطوني اقامه مجانيه رفضت انا هنا اكتب تجربتي فقط عشان اللي بعدي يعرف وين حيسكن بإثبات الصور عندي صور اكثر بس ما يسمح بأكثر من اربع صور للأسف

• Dr. Abdullah (7/5): قلب سيركجي النابض - الغرف واسعة وفيها أسرة ثلاثة واحد منها مزدوج حتى لو كنت لحالك النظافة جيدة المكان قريب من كل شيء متعاونين جدا في الإصلاحات المصعد صغير جدا لا يوجد استقبال ولوبي الموظف يقف خارج الفندق في محل لبيع الاكسسوار وموجود دايما العزل ضعيف في الشبابيك لكبرها فتسمع صوت السيارات بشكل مزعج نهارا الحمام يحتاج لعناية استباقية لأنه يتعطل فيه اشياء بعد الاستخدام كالسيفون والشطاف

• Justina (10/5): - Highly recommended! The location is perfect — from the station it’s just a few minutes’ walk, even with big bags it’s really fine. You can walk to all the most visited places in minutes. The people who are working there are really nice and friendly. They made our daughter feel amazing; she especially loved Ece Hanım :) The rooms are big, with plenty of space, and clean. There is air conditioning, so you can heat or cool down your room. The breakfast was really basic; that for sure could be done better. Especially for our 5-year-old, it was difficult to find what to eat. Just outside there is a small market called Ş*k, where you can buy snacks and water (good prices), and even get a cup of coffee or other beverages for 25 TL. Extremely cheap and delicious coffee. Also, just around there are really good restaurants (Ba**an Lokantası is really good) where you can eat at good prices. (Stay away from the fast food restaurant called E**f B**e on the corner.) There is no lobby in the hotel, but for us it didn’t matter. There is an elevator and, on the 6th floor, a small terrace with a nice view. Really great hotel! Highly recommended!

• Cynthia (7/5): Great location and great manager - The manager was friendly, kind and helpful. Room was big , bed was comfy, shower was good, heater worked, wifi was good. Location was close to tourist sites and transportation. Manager was available from early morning to late in evening. Breakfast was adequate( in another building) Unfortunately it was a busy street so bring ear plugs. The entrance is hard to find. It’s right beside Arges gift shop!!! *Unlabelled entrance
• Shireen Al-janabi (10/5): - Das Hotel war wirklich ausgezeichnet. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich, hilfsbereit und respektvoll. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls hervorragend und sehr lecker. Die Lage des Hotels ist einfach traumhaft und perfekt. Ich kann dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Ich habe 2 x 40qm Zimmer gebucht mit Balkon, bekommen haben wir 2x 16 qm Zimmer ohne Balkon, Die Spiegel in den Zimmern hatten lauter Risse, Matratzen waren durchgelegen, in der Dusche und um das Waschbecken waren lauter Schimmel stellen siehe Bilder
• Dr.Sulaiman (10/5): موقع استراتيجي حيوي ومضيف دمث الأخلاق ومتعاون، وغرف فائقة النظافة - منطقة حيوية استراتيجية ومضيف رائع وغرفة واسعة نظيفة، الفندق للأستاذ نايف وزوجته وهو مكون من 5 طوابق، كل طابق غرفة واسعة ونظيفة، وهناك مصعد يتسع لشخصين فقط، تجاوب المضيف رائع وبشكل سريع، كل ما تحتاجه حولك حتى البحر قريب جدا منك وكذلك محطة الترام سيركجي. أنصح به لمن يريد الأماكن الحيوية بكل أنواعها. كل شيء كان رائعا

• Ivett (8/5): - A szállásadók nagyon segítőkészek voltak, az eddigi legbarátságosabb fogadtatás, mindenképpen irígylésre méltó. Bármiben kellett segítség azonnal segítettek. A szoba nagyon központi helyen, a bazár 8 perc séta, a Hagia Sofia 10 perc, pár percre villamos. Mi mindent sétálva fedeztünk fel, rengeteg étterem a közelben. A szoba nagy, az ágy kényelmes, van bekészítve tea. Ennyi pénzért ne számitsunk nagy luxusra, kopottas bútorok, felújítás ráférne, de ár-érték arányban megfelel teljesen. Amire számítsatok: nem szokás a fürdőszobába üveget tenni, csak egy reluxa szerű valami van, ergó mindig szellőzik a fürdő, télen-ősszel-tavasszal elég hideg van, kicsit kellemetlen fürödni 10 fokban, de ez szerintem lokális szokás nem csak ennél a szállásnál.

The family room was poorly lit, the light fixtures were with falling off their holder... or not working... the towels looked old... the toilet cover kept fall down and you have to hold it up by hand... the is a view of the outside through the toilet ventilator fan... Overall the vibes were off...

• salim (10/5): Would Highly recommend this Special Gem run by a very dedicated and helpful Family. - Arges Old City Hotel is a lovely family-managed hotel located in the vibrant Fatih district. This is an ideal location for exploring and visiting so many beautiful sights of Istanbul, and the hotel is less than 3 minutes from the local Tram and Metro stations of Sirkeci and Marmary, and less than 5 minute-walk from the Bosphorus Ferry Terminal at Eminonu As first-time visitor to a very vibrant and Beautiful Istanbul, it was a little overwhelming in the first 24 hours or so. We were very glad to have the guidance of Madam Aja and Mister Naif who not only manage the hotel so professionally, but were most helpful with all the local knowledge and travel tips they kindly shared to help us explore Istanbul with total confidence. A Very Special Stay at Arges Old City Hotel was a Blessing. NOTHING - however, our 6-day stay was too short - wish we had a couple of extra days Arges Old City Hotel does not serve breakfast but it is not an inconvenience, in fact, it is a great advantage as the hotel is surrounded by so many excellent eateries that leaves you spolit for choice.

L'appartement est très propre et bien entretenu, ce qui m'a permis de me sentir à l'aise dès mon arrivée. Tout était parfaitement en ordre, et j'ai vraiment apprécié le confort et la tranquillité du lieu. Je recommande vivement cet appartement pour son emplacement idéal et la qualité de son entretien. • Riyan (7/5): Cozy stay, great location, and lovely people—I’d come back! - I recently stayed at Arges Old City Hotel and honestly had a great experience. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the tram line. It made getting around Istanbul super easy. What really stood out was the hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—they gave great tips for places to eat, helped us with directions, and even offered to arrange airport transfers. It felt more like staying with friends than at a hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and quiet at night, which we really appreciated after long days of sightseeing. The bed was comfy, Wi-Fi was alright, and we had everything we needed. Also, the top-floor terrace had a lovely view. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cozy, convenient, and welcoming place to stay in Istanbul. While we really enjoyed our stay, there were just a few little things that could be improved. The entrance to the hotel is a bit tucked away and the staircase is quite narrow, especially if you're carrying big suitcases—so just something to be aware of when arriving. Also, depending on which part of the building your room is in, it might feel a bit older or less polished than the photos suggest. Nothing major, but worth mentioning for future guests who might be expecting something a bit more modern throughout. That said, these were minor issues and didn’t take away from the overall positive experience we had.

• Seifeddine (9/5): Nice hostel - The hotel is great with a spacious room and the location is very ideal as it is close to all the surrounding tourist sites and therefore not worth using transportation, and also the hostel owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing.

• Eugene (10/5): You'll be very well taken care of! - Very good location, nice clean large room but the best part is service! The staff go out of their way to accommodate almost anything. They even let me borrow an Istanbulkart. Highly recommended!

• Noorul (10/5): Exceptional - Naif and his family are extremely helpful and they take care of their guests. There was the issue with the water heating, they got it fixed immediately. They helped arrange low cost travel to Bursa and were excellent guides. The hotel location is ideal, walking distance to Eminounu, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. There are many eating options and restaurants and Spice Bazaar nearby. We were spoilt by eating choices and shopping options. We never needed to take a taxi. Get an Istanbul card and travel by tram to any destination. Overall, a great experience. None
• Tanweer (10/5): Good stay for a small group for a few days - We booked a 4 bed room, it was spacious enough for us and very clean. The host was very friendly and always available and also helped us find a cheap transfer to the airport.
• Mohammed (8/5): Great family run hotel in heart of old town - value for money indeed - Great family run hotel in heart of city and within walking distance to old town sites and great restaurants. Naif and his wife are extremely welcoming. Traveling in mid December- hot water wasn’t always available in showers.
• Eugene (10/5): Nice, Cozy, Small Hotel in a Great Location - We were greeted immediately and were helped with luggage to the room. Stairs are very narrow and the lift is small, you need to make several trips. The room is quite big with comfy beds! Seems there is AC for summer time. The staff went out of their way to help in any way and give good recommendations. Easy entrance 24/7 with code. Many restaurants and attractions are within walking distance including a metro station. Would recommend! The only negative is that the shower head would not stay up so a little awkward showering. It's not really a negative but close. Breakfast is in a different location so if it is raining, take an umbrella and busy times it's hard to get a table.

• Mohammad (8/5): Great location - a cosy base to explore Sultanahmet area - Very friendly staff! The room was clean and cosy and the bathroom was well stocked with paper and toiletries. They cleaned the bathroom daily. On arrival we felt the ac wasn't working so the owners got it fixed on urgent basis. Breakfast was available at an extra charge but the location is so amazing that we always opted to explore and eat in the many restaurants nearby. The hotel has a cute little gift shop adjoining it. All was fine!
• Hasnain (10/5): AMAZING hotel, highly recommend for families! - The location of this hotel is beautiful in the heart of Istanbul- extremely safe amazing for families, I highly recommend this hotel for families. We were greeted when we arrived at night by the owners who were so kind and welcoming- it was the reassurance we needed after the long travel. The owners wife took personal care of us, greeted us daily and had our room extremely clean and tidy for us- every evening when we arrived the cleaning was very thorough especially the bathroom and floors always clean. The area itself has a wide variety of food available, a 10 minute walk from sultanahmet and a minute away from Sirkeci (eminonu area). The hotel has a big gift shop next door with a range of things available to purchase; jewellery, keyrings etc. I'd like to thank the staff here for showing so much sincere care and always being helpful, this really made our trip! -Imran family There was no negatives about this hotel whatsoever. The cleaning was daily and perfect. The staff were lovely and always having friendly chats. The area is perfect.

The rooms are large and very clean, making for a comfortable stay. The hotel's location is superb, making it the best place to tour Turkey. The family running the hotel is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of their guests, which added to the overall positive experience. Naif, in particular, was incredibly helpful in arranging tours and securing restaurant discounts. His assistance made our trip even more enjoyable. All Good

• Grant (7/5): Overall an ok experience but I cannot believe how Arges is/was 9.3 on here!! More like 7.2 imo. - The room was large and the beds were very comfortable. There were beds on the stairs and the bathroom was a bit shoddily built. Our loo seat wouldn’t stay up so rested on you. It was rather dusty too and one towel had to be replaced initially because it was covered in dust and hair. Yuk.
