The door on the carriage (room), couldn’t be opened by our children as it was too out of repair (significant friction necessitating adult male strength to open). The cabin was quite hot during our stay in Autumn.

- Samantha (10/5): A fabulous short stay away — the perfect place to celebrate and unwind. - We had a wonderful stay — truly a hidden gem. Check-in and check-out were simple and seamless, with clear instructions provided. The carriage was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped with air conditioning and lovely fluffy towels. The complimentary extras were a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. The surroundings were peaceful and tranquil, making it the perfect place to relax. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves for the weekend, and the pool was especially refreshing during the extremely hot weather. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. If anything, only very minor suggestions — a broom for sweeping the porch area would be helpful, and a scoop for the pool to clear leaves would be great.

- Gillian (10/5): - Such a relaxing ambience! The room was so comfortable! I literally said to my husband "I'm so relaxed here, can we live here". We considered stealing the couch and hoping they wouldn't notice. The styling, amenities, everything was just luscious. The sound of the rain, wildlife and occasional country train. The TV was massive! So many complimentary treats! Coffee machine. The jacuzzi was huge but we didnt use it as we were already so relaxed abd cozy. The pool was lovely. Great area, very private. Will definitely be back. The only thing and it wasnt their fault- there were a lot of bugs. I suggested a pool scoop for the pool as it was full of bugs even though the filter turns on at night and gets rid of them all. I just wanted to scoop them out as I have an irrational dislike to lots of tiny bugs. They said they would get one so that's another win.
- Hendrika (8/5): Kid-friendly, cute and comfy, country adventure. - We loved out stay at Carriageway, my kids loved the pool, all of the train ephemera and the abundance of wildlife, cows, kangaroos, rabbits and birds we spotted around the grounds. The welcome basket was so generous, we loved all of the goodies including wine, cheese and handmade chocolates. The staff was very friendly, helpful and communication was great. My daughter left a precious stuff toy in our room after we had locked up to leave and a staff member was there quickly to help us retrieve it which was much appreciated. Highly recommend. The only issue we had was there was a few wasp nests on the verandah and on the entryway, but we let the staff know and they were quick to respond.
