Guest Reviews
- Carlene (9/5): A comfortable and relaxing location - Excellent… everything needed for a satisfying first meal of the day NA
Nichts
- Philip John (8/5): -
- David (10/5): Ideal for the area. - Spacious and well equipped; ideally situated to explore the St Helens area. Generous provisions for breakfast. Nothing!
- Michaela (10/5): - Spacious comfortable bedrooms, great living room and massive kitchen, had ever needed. We couldn't find capsules for coffee machine in local IGA. But as plunger coffee maker and ground coffee was provided, it didn't matter.
- Nicole (10/5): An excellent place to stay for a family or couple - So wonderfully appointed and a beautiful place to stay. So much thought and care has gone into it… all the little details, including many things that went above and beyond our expectations. It made it extremely comfortable and a really memorable stay for our family. Maybe just a few kid-friendly drinking cups as an addition to the kitchen (but it’s a really great kitchen!)
- David (9/5): Excellent stay, great location and good selection for breakfast - Great location. The selection for breakfast was good. Kids loved the hot choc and marshmallows. A queen bed instead of a double would be nice.
- Tiahn (9/5): Perfectly fenced in yard to contain dog, heater warmed up the whole house & house was very clean - No bread unfortunately. Very loud barking Rottweiler dog behind the property, would bark every time there was movement in the backyard or on the balcony. If you have a reactive dog with you for your stay this wouldn’t be ideal.
- Meredith (10/5): -
- Alejandra (10/5): Amazing place. We’ll come back - Fantastic place to relax and explore the wonders of the area, we even spotted a white kangaroo through the window.
The hosts were incredible generous and made sure everything was perfect upon our arrival!
We will definitely come back. 10/10
- Robina (10/5): - Spotless place. Away from town feeling but really its only 2km away
Few wallabies just outside the property and was lucky enough to see a white wallaby
- Jessica (9/5): - Clean and quiet. Well equipped. Liked watching the kangaroos on the hill at dawn and Dusk.
- Karen (9/5): -
- John (10/5): Enjoyed our stay in the house - It was modern and comfortable
- Frank (10/5): Peaceful, clean and well presented - The location was at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with views over bushland with wildlife. The home was well presented and it showed that a lot of thought had gone into it with quality items and it catered for children as well. Would definitely stay here again if the occasion arises. Nothing
- Joyce (10/5): - Incredible property. The provisions were much more than expected. Super value. Loved it.
- Archer (9/5): -
- Helen (9/5): - Very relaxing place to spend 2 nights and the surrounding 'tourist spots' spectacular. Beautiful scenery from the deck of the house. I'm not keen on the driveway- on a lean. Only a minor thing.
- Griet (9/5): - Mooi vakantiehuisje! Alles fijntjes in orde
We hadden er een leuke tijd!
- Shaun (10/5): - This property is modern, well equipped and located near the town and best beaches and mountain bike trails.
It is a wonderful getaway destination.
- clifford (9/5): - Spacious living area and well equipped kitchen. Lovely views.
- Stuart (8/5): Clean, comfortable and well stocked but shower base very slippery. - Clean, comfortable and well stocked. The shower base in the bathroom was very slippery which resulted in one of the guests having a nasty fall. Fortunately no bones were broken.
- Susan (10/5): Great place to stay with all you need. Great reading material - House was very comfortable and clean. Everything you needed. Never had kids here but if you did many games, activities in the house for them.Easy access to house. Host Julie was amazing with commication. Loved St Helens area. Also best oysters in Tassie at Lease 65 Found edge of shower floor a bit slippery but that is probably because we are used to tiled floors
- Angela (10/5): Highly recommend this property, perfect for a solo escape or the family. - Super comfortable bed, the host has thought of everything required for a stay… and then some! Friendly and prompt communication. Not relevant. .
- Terrence (10/5): Comfort and views in a great modern unit. - The cleanliness and comfort of the unit. Beautiful rural views The distance from town was ok but the return walk up the hill was significant.
- Beissner (9/5): Beautiful place, great service! Highly recommend - We loved this place! Nice and quiet, lovely and clean. The free breakfast options are an added bonus! The prompt and helpful responses were so accommodating and exceeded expectations, especially when we accidentally locked ourselves out! Great neighbours too; we plan on staying again. Having to take the dogs out the front door around to the enclosed yard wasn't the greatest, but it's understandable considering the slope of the land
- Helen (8/5): Very good - The house was lovely, brand new and superbly well equipped . It had everything one would expect, and then more (eg. A picnic basket , toys for kids and beach towels!). Lovely views over the hills and magnificent sunsets. The location. A long way from town and even if a walk was ok the return trip up a very steep hill was too much, so you need to use the car to go to town or to the beach, or anywhere.
- Eileen (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely location, clean and neat, beautiful weather. Would come again and recommend.
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bernard (10/5): Very pleased to have found you! - It was fine when I got the right code from host as I had missed the email with the correct code! Nothing
- Kylie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ranjita (10/5): A perfect stay - The place was perfect. It was so clean, inviting and comfortable. The host did everything to make it a home away from home. The little touches like beautiful biscuits and all the beverages was so thoughtful, down to the marshmallows for your hot chocolates.
Thank you for taking so much time and care into the details. 10/10
- Dashanep (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic new apartment, beautiful area, very comfortable and beautiful.
- Paul (10/5): Tasmania trip - Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Exceptional home from home. Excellent location for exploring the north eastern area of Tasmania. The host had thought of everything really can't find a fault with anything.
- Stephen (10/5): Delightful could have stayed a week. - Quite possibly one of the best property's we have stayed at over the last 5 years. Spacious and light with the wild life keeping you entertained. Hosts supplied great breakfast condiments to get the day started. With a car easy access to St Helens and the syrrounding area. Would highly recommend this lovely property. Nothing comes to mind
- John (10/5): Fabulous 5 star type accommodation - Fantastic and comfortable accommodation with absolutely everything provided for short or long stays. The best place that we've ever stayed in.
Ample continental style breakfast ingredients and Nespresso machine ( Vertuo type ) with coffee.
Fresh Tasmanian milk, biscuits ( cookies ) and so on.
All that you need to obtain are food ingredients for dinners and lunches. Nothing. It's fabulous.
- Jennifer (9/5): Quiet and comfortable with thoughtful extras provided. - Beautiful view from the deck over the hilly paddocks behind the property. Extremely quiet location. Very clean and well appointed. Fantastic to have an iron and ironing board as we flew from interstate and had a function to attend. Lots of lovely extras like marshmallows, hot chocolate, shortbread, TimTams, a selection of breakfast items, fresh milk, etc. Not much. It’s right on the outskirts so quite a decent (and hilly) walk from town. Seemed a bit pricey for the location.
- Stephen (10/5): Excellent facility made for an excellent stay - It’s perfect
- Jacki (10/5): An outstanding experience of a BNB. - Every thing about the apartment was 5 star.
- Adele (9/5): Lovely short family holiday in a beautiful location. - Loved the huge selection of interesting books to read, but unfortunately had no time to read them! The coffee pods, teas and yummy shortbread left for us. Convenient location with not too many steps. Also good to have free and easy to access Netflix and Prime Video. There was a fishy smell in one of the kitchen cupboards, and neighbours dogs barking in the wee hours.
- Nola (10/5): Just the perfect place to stay while visiting St Helen’s - It was clean and homey, everything has been thought of to make your stay there very comfortable. Could see the wallabies come out late in the evening on the hills surrounding Couldn’t find fault
- Annette (10/5): Loved our stay here. Such a beautiful property - Breakfast supplied was a good variety. The location was very quiet and not that far to drive in to St Helens. The property was great. I loved the house and would definitely stay there again. There was nothing that I did not like about this property
- Sabine (10/5): Excellent holiday stay - Excellent experience. New, modern house. Very clean. Everything provided you can think of and more. Feels like home, nothing was missing. It was so easy to cook meals, use the washing machine, read books etc. Check in with keylock was working perfectly. All was very easy to use, manuals were on hand for coffee machine etc. The view from the veranda is stunning, the location is on a hill in a new housing development. Very quiet and relaxing. I would give a 15 out of 10 if I could. Best I ever stayed in.
- Devlyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (10/5): Relaxing and enjoyable stay in a convenient location. - Lovely clean and airy welcoming property in a quiet neighborhood.
Breakfast cereals, bread, milk, tea and coffee provided as well as a washing machine which was very handy to get some much needed washing done. We liked everything about the property.
- Irene (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay was absolutely delightful! The host was incredibly considerate, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property was well-equipped and thoughtfully prepared.
One of the highlights was spotting wild wallabies around the property after dusk—it was such a unique and magical experience!
The location is great, only couple minutes’ drive to the town centre. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of nature.
- Angeline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Randall (9/5): Rural outlook - The house was very clean, well equipped, new and fresh. The breakfast food supplied was more than adequate for 2 of us and lovely extras for treats.
Peaceful farming views from the rear of the house.
- Stephen (9/5): Great accommodation. - Everything was fresh and clean. All equipment needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The building appeared fairly new. We appreciated the extras such as the milk and bread. We would definitely recommend this property. The description of the property should make it clear the second bathroom is just a toilet and basin.
- Katharine (10/5): Beautiful property and peaceful location - What a wonderful stay, thank you! Kalanga is beautifully furnished and has such a wonderful view across the hill.
The location was perfect for Bay of Fires walks, St Helens coffee shops, Pyengana farm and Blue Tier forest walks.
The kitchen had everything we needed, and we appreciated the pantry with basics for cooking. The bed were very comfy and had lots of blankets to keep warm. Julie was really responsive and allowed us to have a late checkout. I would 100% recommend! It was a little hard to find as we misread the address as no. 2 on the street, whereas it was no. X on the street, divided into houses 1 and 2 (like houses a) and b)). It would be super helpful if you could put up a sign with the house name to avoid confusion! Otherwise, it was a perfect stay!
- Cave (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jimmioz (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable modern home. Nice finishing touches. Quiet location.
- Bronlin (10/5): A wonderful introduction to beautiful St Helens - We stayed two nights in this modern, spacious and thoughtfully decorated house. It is located high on the hillside of St Helens south of the bridge but entry is flat, with only five stairs to the main door. The breakfast and pantry provisions were generous and welcome. All the inclusions were excellent quality and would make a longer stay, with family, very enjoyable. St Helens has plenty of good quality restaurants, shops, and gorgeous natural surroundings. Julie is a responsive and caring host. The location means driving everywhere and the only facility nearby is a French restaurant but the comfort of the house and its lovely outlook more than compensate.
- Benjamin (10/5): 10 out of 10. Will stay again! - Immaculately presented! Amazing location and an extremely comfortable stay. Honestly.....could fault nothing!
