- Zoltán (1/5): Never again - The next morning when I finally left The entire place was filthy. There were no towels or toilet paper in the room and the bathroom smelled like raw sewage. The walls are paper thin and throughout the night, the gentlemen in the reception area were screaming at the top of their lungs with zero consideration for the guests who were sleeping.
The "free breakfast" offered in my reservation didn't happen, and when I showed up for breakfast in the morning, the gentleman in the kitchen seemed confused and called someone in a panic. I decided to leave when I saw the horrendous conditions of the kitchen.

- Anthony (1/5): We didn’t even get to stay here - We booked a triple room only to arrive and to be told that they had no triple rooms available and only a double. We ended up going elsewhere. They should not be allowed to advertise for rooms that are not available. False advertising

- Guillaume (8/5): A cheap hotel close to the station and very suitable as a starting point for excursions. - Amir Palace Hotel is located in a working-class neighborhood near the station. I’m the side streets there are all kind of small shops and market stalls. The staff of the hotel do not speak English very well, but they are friendly and helpful. They arranged for me to travel to Abydos by taxi and with a translator to visit the famous Temple of king Seti I and the 5,000 year old enclosure of king Khasekhemwy. The hotel ha probably seen better days: the entrance for example is of a star hotel, but my bathroom is in need of renovation.
- Osama (2/5): Very poor - Nothing. The AC cold only.
No towels in the bathroom.
No toilet paper in the toilet.
The restaurant is on the open air roof.
- Sayed (8/5): Very good - Cleaning
- Yasser (3/5): Poor -
- Majeerpalla (1/5): Bad - Communication

- Marcin (8/5): Very good - service and location overall the hotel is ok, but very noisy. someone is constantly banging something, doors are creaking, I woke up several times during the night.
- Lindsay (10/5): Friendly and safe stay - This place saved us last minute when another hotel tried to charge us more for being foreign last minute on the day of arrival!!
But beyond that, it was a great hotel. Friendly staff, safe and convenient location, clean rooms. Helped to book a taxi for our trip to the airport. A small breakfast was a nice touch and they even packed us one to take away on the last morning as we had to leave for the airport early. WiFi could have been faster
- Farouk (8/5): Very good -
- Elaatec (3/5): Poor -
- Kashif (8/5): Very good - Staff and cleanliness Internet connection is not working
- Ajaz (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ahmad (4/5): Disappointing - 👍👍👍
- Ibrahim (7/5): Good for sleeping deep, - Comfortable, cozy, clean Bed Offensive odor from restroom, However the bathroom door lock was broken in the room,
- Mircea (5/5): Dirty, disgusting breakfast and a way too low value for money. - The hotel was into the market place of Sohag, and very good looking at a first glance. The room, although it could be promising, it was dirty - you could bet there was no woman cleaning there, but only men (or very young boys) moping very superficially. The TV didn't work, the wi-fi very, very poor or not at all. The breakfast... you couldn't eat it: on the terrace all the tables were filthy dirty, the so-called kitchen was managed by an about 11-12 years old boy having a big bowl of salad into the fridge from where he spilled a part of it over the ground and the rest intended to serve us alongside with some cheap jam, butter, dubious eggs and bread. We couldn't eat seeing such a dirty tables and kitchen, so we asked only some tea, which we expected to be, at least traditional egyptian one - it wasn't the case! Only cheap classical tea-bags. The value for money was waaay too low!
- Yury (3/5): Never again - The breakfast was nice: beans, boiled eggs, bread jam, cheese. Although no tea or coffee. The rooms are dirty, we had to clean before we took the shoes off. No hot water, only immitation of it: we were told to let it flow for 10 minutes, but even after 20 minutes it was lukewarm. No towels, kettle, toilet paper, all of it we had to request additionaly, the staff was in surprise we needed that.
- Noureddine (1/5): The wurst experience in my life - Nothing Very disappointed ☹️, the rooms are very dirty
- Pedro (1/5): Bad - There are no positives at all. I would rather recommend sleeping at the airport than at this hotel. Dirty noisy rooms with not even basic facilities. We were sleeping fully dressed up as the beds were so dirty. When I asked reception to call the taxi to the airport for me they told me to catch some taxi at the street on my own.
- Ahmed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dmitry (7/5): Good - Don't be afraid, the hotel is ok. For a place like Sohag and the cost, you will sleep and be on your way Toilet paper would be nice to have))
- Martynas (10/5): Exceptional -

- Richard (10/5): Very clean rooms, hotel renovated, fabulous friendly staff in particular Mahmoud, worth to stay there just to meet him - Very clean entrance and rooms, as the Hotel must have been renovated, apart from the terrace for breakfast. Great location, as a short walk from the train station and centre of town. Staff very friendly too and will help you out with their knowledge. It’s worth walking around Sohag, as the people are all so incredibly friendly. I recommend Breakfast was a bit miserable, with no offer of tea or coffee and the tables were unclean. Please do something about this, as you done so well to renovate the rest of the hotel
- Mansoor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (6/5): Sohag for 1 night so was fine but wouldn’t choose to stay again - Good location near the train station (8 mins walk) and shops. Shower was good and staff friendly. The pillow was a furry pillow case. We had no sheet to cover ourselves with so had to use a very thick blanket. The breakfast was shocking. Grey boiled eggs, no cutlery, no plates. Allowing cats to eat leftovers.
- Sunayan (5/5): Passable - Location as this is close to Sohag Rail Station

Hotel.can provide early breakfast at 6pm packed for take away.
Wake up service available. When we enter rooms they were wet and has shoe Marks
Dirty wardrobe. Water kettle was dirty and has very short wire.
Whole room had tissue in all the places.
Rooms and bathrooms need cleaning. Towels provided are hard.
Breakfast is served in a room which is uncomfortable.
Rooms are small.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - Good
- Mohamed (5/5): Passable -
- Adnan (9/5): Superb -
- Baskaran (5/5): Passable - Close to Nile corniche, decent staffs No cleanliness, everything was dirty. Room size was very small, broken closets, smelly bathroom, average breakfast.
- Waseem (10/5): Exceptional - best place Al Amir hotel.
Will come again with family.
- Jeyaraj (8/5): Very good - Right behind the railway station
local tasty street food available
We picked this hotel as we had to board the train to luxor next day
It's located close to the central market and streets, so a few restaurants at a walking distance.|
Nice warm breakfast
Hotel staff speak English and were very helpful, they arrange for airport pick up for 400 Egyptian pounds
They also arranged a half day trip to the Red and White monasteries for 600 Egytian pounds Cleanliness
- Ibrar (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mitchell (8/5): Best hotel of suhai - One of the only good hotels i can find on booking. The hotel location is very central it’s on the market and next to the train station. Really worth of the money The reception can not speak english so you have to talk through google translate. The trains mannn when they arrive, whole egypt knows they are arrive with there loud hoorn also in the night
- Anna (8/5): Convenient location, very helpful staff, nicely prepared room - The room had nice extra decorations around towels and beds. The staff made me feel welcome and helped me a lot, made me feel like queen. The hotel may not get many overseas tourists. The area is not fancy but very close to the railway station and has quirky little shops nearby All was good
- Tarek (6/5): Pleasant -
- Giorgi (7/5): Good -
- Hatem (8/5): Very good -
- Marvin (7/5): Ok stay, near to train station. - Nice, a bit dusty but ok. The cup given to me for coffee was the one used by the reception. 😂
- Lance (3/5): Dissatisfied stay - Hotel bed are designed beautifully as the towels were folded like a swan with sprinkled artificial flowers which gives a good impression of a welcoming sign to the guest. Rooms are pretty much cozy with 2 twin beds. Air conditioned works fine with good room ventilation. We have a window front of the hotel. In addition, the distance from the hotel is an easy access by walk for a few minutes were some stuffs you need are available however sidewalk vendors are selling almost the same products with lots of noises from the sellers and even loud sounds are played from one vendor stand towards the others to attract customers. Staff are approachable but still there is a language barrier although they are trying their best to understand, but there are some of our simple request were not granted and explanation was not given. As part of the observation, the faucet tube is almost close to the outer part of the sink so splashes is common everytime we used, which is not good. We’ve been supplied with a towel in which the color is almost dirty white to grayish color causing skin irritation to fungal infection. They should’ve at least bleach the towel and or change with new one as it’s really obvious that it’s been overused for a long time. Alternatively we used blanket to kept ourselves warm during the night as we don’t want to use the old comforter from the dusty cabinet. The door doesn’t have any room sign where we can hanged outside the door knob and even there’s no peephole at the door. There were cats roaming around the dining area on the rooftop and which is actually not good impression for someone who is staying in the hotel. We noticed that some cleaning material are left behind at the hallway. It should be kept in proper place . Really unfortunate, as the Wi-Fi is very weak and getting an on and off connection really disappointing since day 1 till the last day of stay. So we opted to purchase a Vodafone Simcard. We bought it right across the streets passing the subway tunnel just to get an access for the internet inside our room. Hotel Wi-Fi is totally undependable. Apart from it, no kettle, teabags or cofee sugar provided. Dirty curtains, rugs, drawers and cupboards were left with dust from long time. Tissue papers folded unnecessarily and scattered at the tables and washrooms. Can’t use it (sorry) because it has been folded by someone so basically it’s unhygienic. On the other hand, tissues were uniquely decorated but it’s becoming exaggerated for my own point of view. Receptions greeted formally over the phone with respect (Assalamalaikum) but didn’t reply back. ( an impression of being rude?) it is when we asked for the breakfast timings or maybe because they don’t deserved to reply back to us because we’re not Muslims.
- Owaais (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was really cooperative.
- Şəms (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zaheer (1/5): Bad - I like the room decor Breakfast was very very poor they provide Breakfast in plastic bag like a garbage bag. Which I refuse it.
- Adil (1/5): Bad -
- Ambrož (9/5): Great hotel - Nice and clean, very helpful staff, we had a great stay overall. Only breakfast wasn't great. Didn't look good and didn't taste good.
- Chris (7/5): Good staff and a good location, rooms fairly standard, roughly what you'd expect for the price. -
