- Carlos (10/5): Amazing stay in Galapagos - Both the host and his mum were incredibly attentive from the start and always willing to help in any way. The house is fantastic, beautifully renovated, and perfectly suited for a family or a group of friends, even for long stays. Ronald’s mum welcomed us with a delicious homemade lemonade. She also owns a restaurant just behind the building, which I unfortunately didn’t have the chance to visit, but I’m certain the food is amazing—I’d love to try it next time! The house is about a 20-minute walk from the beach, the pier, the Charles Darwin Research Station, and all the restaurants and bars along the waterfront. It’s a pleasant walk, but taking a taxi—especially during sunny hours—is a convenient option, costing only $1.50 per trip. If you prefer to have breakfast at home, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and there is a great grocery shop and a lovely bakery just two blocks away.
