- Daniel (7/5): - The apartment is largely as described. Effort has been put into making the kitchen actually usable for cooking a light meal. Host communication was flawless before and throughout my stay. Self check-in with directions was excellent. Samatya is a pleasant residential area. Lively but not touristy, with all the shops and restaurants you could want, at local prices. It's a 5km walk to Sultanahmet, but you will get plenty of chances to eat and shop along the way. There are nearby metro stops, and the Marmaray will take you all the way to Kadiköy without exchanges. The apartment would benefit from a deep cleaning and some general maintenance. There are some damp and mold issues. Internal walls are also not very soundproof.
