Guest Reviews
- MARK & CHARLENE (8/5): -
- Paul (8/5): - Very peaceful The hot water should have had a temperature warning, could easily get scalded if not careful.
- Lu (8/5): nice place - peace nope
- Emma Jayne (10/5): - Loved the view and the little cottages, was nice to get away from the the noise.
- Murray (10/5): Exceljent - Outstanding Na
- Debbie (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would happily stay again. - The property was absolutely lovely. Warm, clean and the hosts were very friendly and provided a lot of added extras like breakfast every morning.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Very secluded spot with gorgeous views.
Loved the extra touch of a fresh breakfast in the fridge. That i didn't book an extra night.
- Rosslyn (7/5): A lovely cottage but with SOS only and everything shut in the town, we had some problems. - We found the cottage charming and well decorated, with furnishings that made it comfortable.
It was in a pleasant garden setting with bird song all around, it was close to the road but there was little traffic at night.
It was located just where we wanted to be, close to Comboyne where we were meeting other participants in a photographic workshop.
The owner was extremely helpful in giving instructions for the best way to get to the property and warned us that Sat-Nav can choose a route which is closed.
All communications with the owner were clear, detailed, and cordial. it would be helpful to have a wardrobe, or at least a few hangers on the bar supporting the mirror.
Through no fault of the owner, there was only SOS on our phone and I had relied on being able to look up Booking.com to get the details of how to enter the property. We had to ask the owner to give us the code for the lock box which he kindly gave. I must take a screenshot of Booking.com in future but it would have been helpful to have information in the description of the property that Wi-Fi is not available so we could have been better prepared.
When my husband asked about Wi-Fi, the owner said that it was not available. That was something we felt should be in the description of the property, as we found ourselves unable to let our daughter know we had arrived, and when we went into town at 6.00pm to pick up Wi-Fi and find some food, everything was shut and it was SOS for our phone network. We couldn't buy any food or let our daughter know we had arrived. The food provided for breakfast consisted of two muffins, two eggs, and two bits of banana bread plus butter etc., so we made do with a poached egg on a muffin for supper and skipped breakfast.
- Mikaeli (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (8/5): Very good -
- Eric (8/5): Very good - Hosts were really helpful - especially when we left a wedding ring in the property and they found it and returned it to the family - cheerfully.
- Ann (9/5): Totally off the beaten track and definately worth the stay - A lovely appointed cabin with every amenity provided, situated in a remote part of the Blue mountains, which after 5 weeks of travelling down the East coast made the ideal place for relaxing and it was so peaceful. Ben and Janelle were excellent hosts.
I'd suggest guests perhaps arriving late take provisions with them in case the local shop and bistro are closed. Nothing
- Gary (8/5): Excellent value for money. We had a nice stay hampered by the very heavy rain so we missed out on the opportunity to see - Clean and functional. An abundance of provisions, food in the fridge and cupboard utilities. Quirky mis-matching furniture in the kitchen. Bed was excellent. The hot water tap in the bathroom was scolding hot. To cover yourself we would recommend putting a notice by the tap that the water can get very hot. Finally; Maybe erect a quaint small wooden sign on your driveway indicating which gate / open entrance leads to the cottages? Good luck with the project.
- Max (9/5): Superb -
- Jill (10/5): Private well appointed cottage set in beautiful gardens. Perfect spot to explore Comboyne and surrounds - Private cottage with beautiful gardens- lots of windows and light . Spotlessly clean. So many birds! Lovely hosts. Great spot for a cycling weekend assuming you like gravel and hills 🤪
- Janet (9/5): The walk to Rawson falls was really beautiful. The rainforest looked magnificent. - Ben and Janelle provided a very homely stay. Very generous breakfast supplies were provided and all the amenities were spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were really comfortable.
