Guest Reviews
- Quynh (4/5): Disappointing - Near KLCC. 7-Eleven right downstairs I was informed an hour before arrival time that payment needs to be paid in cash, plus a deposit of RM200. In addition, the apartment I booked wasn't available and I was moved to another apartment building at a different (lesser) location. Shoddy flimsy furniture, kitchen with dirty pots & pans and broken stovetop. Unclean, there are toenails on the bed and small cockroaches running around the apartment
- Andrzej (1/5): AVOID! Absolutely disgusting! Did not received deposit back. - Disgusting, very dirty, lots of mold like Last of Us
- Sundus (1/5): ⚠️ SCAMMED, ABUSED, ILLEGALLY HOSTED — THIS PLACE SHOULD BE BANNED ⚠️ - Traumatic. Sky Suites KLCC via Booking.com | 21–28 June 2025
This wasn’t just a bad experience — it was dangerous, illegal, and emotionally traumatic. I booked a self-catered apartment and was met with lies, filth, and an aggressive scammer named Adham, who is operating this listing fraudulently.
ILLEGAL LISTING – SHORT STAYS ARE PROHIBITED
There are many official red signs at the building entrance, lobbies, and lift, strictly prohibiting short-term rentals. The sign warns that access cards will be blocked. Booking.com should not be advertising a unit that violates building rules.
LEFT OUTSIDE FOR HOURS WITH ELDERLY FATHER
Despite my confirmed check-in time of 10:00–11:00 on multiple occasions, we were left outside in 38°C heat until 15:00, with my elderly, sick father. No apology. No empathy. Just indifference until they were ready. Bearing in mind we had been travelling for 17 hours.
HOST SCAMMING GUESTS & ABUSING PEOPLE
The man who met us introduced himself as Adham, saying he was “flat maintenance.” When I asked for the landlord or manager, he claimed to be the manager under a different name. When I confronted him, he snapped and said he had “two names.”
The host requested payment via PayPal, he requested the payment while I was in transit (10 hours prior to arrival) and I paid in full. Later, he angrily demanded I pay extra and reimburse him the PayPal business fee (a charge that is clearly HIS responsibility as the seller). He shouted at me, blamed me, and threatened to evict us unless we paid more, all while my father was present and distressed.
As well as this there is a hidden deposit of 200 RM which he wants in cash. Bearing in mind this only came through when I was boarding and I had already told him I didnt have cash.
To make matters worse, we later witnessed him arguing with and scamming other guests over payments. It is clear this man is scamming and verbally abusing multiple people.
- Mim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pavel (3/5): Poor -
- Nursyahidah (4/5): Could have been better - The location was good as it is a walking distance to the KLCC Suria. A day before the trip, I contacted the person-in-charge regarding the check-in process. However, I received no reply apart from a request for my booking reference. I had to follow up twice before getting a response. On the morning of the trip, I messaged again but got no reply. It was only when we arrived at the hotel that he finally responded.
I had assumed that only the RM200 deposit would need to be paid in cash, as I had already provided my card details when making the booking. I was shocked when I was asked to pay the full amount of RM1,000 (including early check-in) in cash. As a result, I had to borrow money from my friends.
Had my earlier messages been answered, I would have prepared enough cash in advance.
