Guest Reviews
- Reese (10/5): - The hotel exceeded my expectations. Waking up to a clear view of the Pyramids was an amazing experience. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff members were polite, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The rooftop view was one of my favorite parts of the stay. The hotel also had a good location with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants. Overall, everything was smooth and enjoyable, and I had a great time staying here.
- Paul (10/5): Good value and great location for visiting the pyramids - The breakfast was continental style (with little extra, eg omelette/falafel) served on the roof terrace. The location is difficult to find first time (in a maze of back streets) but is a 15-minute walk from the pyramids/sphinx complex and restaurants. The manager Adel was extremely helpful, eg walking us to the main street first time. The room (#1) was large with 3 beds (we only needed 2) and the ensuite was functional. It was great value for money. The accommodation did not match the description in booking.com but we were happy with it.
- Steven (4/5): Did not meet the expecations - The staf was friendly and helpful. The contact with them was nice. The room didn't look like the pictures on the website. The shower didn't work correctly
- Paul (8/5): Good value. Good location for visiting pyramids. Excellent host. - The host/manager was extremely helpful. The room (#1) was a very good size with 3 large single beds and a good ensuite. Breakfast was continental style - perfectly adequate. The location is good BUT it's hard to find. It's a 15 minute walk to the southern entrance to the pyramids and restaurants. OK when you've walked it once through a maze of back streets if you've a good memory. We found it very safe area despite its appearance. No complaints. Good value. One of the single beds (which we didn't need) was rock hard.

- Roger (10/5): Felt like part of the family - The room was very clean and comfortable, and they gave me some water and other things for free. The hotel stuff is an incredible family! They helped me with absolutely everything.. from very high quality cheap tours (where they included a lot of extra tips and comfort things), to getting good prices on shops, restaurants, hidden gems in town, etc. I am extremely happy with this experience. They treated me like family and this made my trip way better.
PS: you cannot have better views that this; every breakfast there was the joy of the trip! I couldn’t stay for longer because of work.
- Majd Edine (6/5): -
- Freeks (8/5): My stay was very pleasant. The staff are very accommodating, friendly and helpful. - The location was perfect to experience the neighborhood and the people. I loved it. I did not like that I stayed for only two nights.
- Shivam (10/5): Amazing staff, beautiful location next to the pyramids. Nice and clean rooms and good breakfast and terrace lounge area. - Amazing staff, beautiful location next to the pyramids. Nice and clean rooms and good breakfast and terrace lounge area.
- Wolfgang (5/5): ACHTUNG/ATTENTION: Finger weg! Kein Warmwasser.

- Ahmad (8/5): - The location is quite good as it is in walking distance to the pyramids. Adel is a great host, he was very helpful and generous in guiding us during our stay.

- Rory (9/5): Pyramid views with friendly staff - Amazing rooftop with a view of the pyramids, and very friendly and accomodating staff. They were happy to organise transport and tours according to our needs. Great value overall. The property was a bit hard to locate, and down a quieter street.
- Boglárka (10/5): Csodás szállás, a piramisok mellett! -

The location is truly unique, offering a stunning panoramic view of the Pyramids and the Sphinx. It’s actually considered the nearest hotel to the historical site – once you step outside, the Pyramids are right in front of you.
The services are good, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly, making you feel at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, equipped with all the essentials for a pleasant stay.
- Edward M Lau (10/5): Amazing stay with a stunning view of the Pyramids - I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect – you get a breathtaking view of the Pyramids right from your room or the rooftop.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hotel itself is very tidy and quiet, which made it a very relaxing stay.

The room was clean and well-maintained, and housekeeping did a great job every day. Breakfast was simple but fresh and satisfying, and you can always request extras if needed.
What really stood out was the staff — incredibly friendly, polite, and always ready to help. They assisted me with local tours, transport, and were always checking in to make sure I was comfortable.

- Trevor (10/5): Great View and Great Value - The hotel was very nice, and in a great, very local location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, The breakfast is also good, and can be available at most times in the morning if you ask. The rooftop view was also amazing. It was great to spend evenings up there. The rooms are large, air conditioned and have comfortable beds.
Ahmed was very friendly as well. He showed us around the area, took us to local spots, and treated us as friends.
The optional tours the hotel can book are worth it as well, horseback riding and the pyramids/surrounding areas tour were very fun.
- Levi (10/5): Worth it - The room is cozy and the hotel is in good location of pyramid.
Ahmed is so helpful and friendly, help me with everything, good buddy!
Thank you for all the staff! None

We enjoyed delicious breakfast every morning on terrace and stunning, breathtaking view of pyramids.

An excellent experience, I would recommend
to anyone.
We want to thank you guys for the unforgettable days❣️
- Stacey (10/5): Exceptional view and incredibly kind hosts - The location of the property is exceptional. You absolutely cannot beat the view for the price you pay. (Could easily charge double) The family who run the inn treat you like you are family. They invited me to eat with them and gave me a tour of the surrounding area when I asked if I could go for a walk. Definitely my favourite stay in Cairo so far. I will be back I promise! Nothing bad to say.
- Ditu (10/5): Exceptional - I had an unforgettable stay at El Khalil Pyramid View Inn! From the moment we arrived, Ahmed and Hussain went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Ahmed, in particular, was an exceptional organizer—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. He made sure every detail of our stay was smooth and comfortable, whether it was arranging tours or simply checking in on us.
The location is unbeatable—with a stunning rooftop view where we could clearly see both the Khufu and Khafre Pyramids.
The hospitality of the entire team was heartwarming; they genuinely cared about our comfort and experience. I’ve traveled a lot, but rarely have I felt so welcomed. I’m truly grateful for their effort and kindness. Without a doubt, I’ll return—this place felt like a second home. Didn't find anything
- Adie (10/5): The closest hotel to the pyramids, amazing views and facilities, the most polite staff! (: - The hotel and staff are amazing! I had the most amazing experience in Egypt and it was because of the people at this hotel. From the moment I was collected at the airport by one of the hotels driver (Mohamed), he made me feel so welcomed and he was so polite and professional. Amazing driver! Then when I checked in I was greeted by the people who work at the hotel. So polite, professional and you are made to feel so welcomed. No request is too much, they treat you like royalty and I especially want to thank Ahmed and Hussien who were fantastic, and made me feel like family. When you wake up you can see the pyramids over the road - the hotel is so close to the pyramids, the closest hotel I could find! Everything is so clean, facilities are really good and WiFi is free and fast connection. The views are so beautiful and I can’t wait to return. When I come back to Egypt I will 100% stay here again because I can’t say a single bad word about the hotel or advise improvements. Really I felt like a king and I loved every minute of the experience at the hotel. They even have a riding school next to the hotel which they own and you can ride horses next to the pyramids in the dessert. Everything was amazing !!!! I can’t fault the hotel at all! Everything was amazing !
- Natalie (10/5): Sensational visit I left feeling part of the family - As a solo female traveller during my stay I felt safe and secure. My tours were organised on site and all went smoothly with no issues and reasonably priced.
Everything I needed was accommodated for and the family who own the hotel went above and beyond to make me feel welcome.
The room was clean and the view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful. It’s the closest hotel to the pyramids and having lunch/dinner whilst watching them was such a magical experience.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful time I will never forget my time in Egypt and I hope to return some time soon 🤍

It has consistently been my top choice for business travels, and I wanted to highlight the excellent experience I always have there.
I am delighted to share my experience at El Khalil Pyramids View Inn, where I believe this marks my third or possibly fourth stay. As a frequent business traveler to Egypt, I have made it a point to choose this charming inn for several reasons, and I can confidently say it will not be my last visit.
Cleanliness, From the moment you step into El Khalil, you can immediately appreciate the meticulous attention to cleanliness. The rooms are always spotless, and the common areas are well-maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere that sets the stage for a relaxing stay. The staff takes cleanliness seriously, and it shows in every corner of the inn.
Comfort facilities, The comfort level at El Khalil Pyramids View Inn is exceptional. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, providing not just a place to sleep but a sanctuary for unwinding after a long day of meetings. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep, and amenities like complimentary Wi-Fi make it easy to stay connected for work.
The location one of the standout features of El Khalil is its prime location. Situated with stunning views of the Pyramids, it offers a unique blend of accessibility and breathtaking scenery. Whether you are looking to explore the historical sites or conduct business in the heart of Cairo, this inn is ideally located to accommodate both leisure and professional activities.
Lastly, the value for money at El Khalil Pyramids View Inn is remarkable. Given the high standard of service and amenities provided, the rates are more than reasonable. Nothing, Everything was perfect as usual.
- Sajida (10/5): Exceptional - The view the cleanliness the staff are always interested in helping and the cleanliness and the breakfast is really very nice Thank you very much
- Dela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Veena (8/5): Very good -
- Victoria (6/5): Great view but basic - The people were kind and helpful. The roof terrace was great, perfect view of the pyramids. There is a little shop nearby called "Drinkies" that we bought beer and sat in the sun. The breakfast was nice and the hotel organised a great trip for us - cruise/ dinner/ entertainment. The location is rough but didn't worry us. Our room had no window, the beds were hard and we were cold, the shower was hard to turn on without getting wet and there is no shower curtain and my daughters' toilet didn't flush. There is no way this is a 4 star hotel I'd say 2 star. It said our rooms had mountain views. Neither did.
- Catherine (7/5): First visit to Cairo was memorable and gave us a flavour of local life - Beautiful view of pyramids from terrace , staff very accommodating A little off the beaten track to get to and uber drivers would not always take all the way. No problem if you have arranged transportation through the hotel though.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Kayla (10/5): Exceptional - Everything, and everyone was so kind and helpful and accommodating. I definitely recommend staying here. The view from the rooftop is very nice.

An unforgettable stay with stunning views of the Pyramids, exceptional hospitality, friendly and helpful staff, and outstanding customer service that made the experience truly special.
- Cecile (3/5): the person who intertain us, scam us, i was told by my Egyptian fren to call police tourism, but choose not to do it.he - i like the pyramid view on the balcony. there is no curtain at the shower , so water all over the bathroom / toilet.
i was expecting 2 towels, since we are 2 (we got1), towel smell like already used.
- Marcie (10/5): One word: magical - I highly highly enjoyed my stay here! Sameh took such good care of me my entire stay. Anything you need from a guided tour of the pyramids or anywhere in Cairo, breakfast, dinner, coffee, tea whatever you need he will assist in getting it for you! The view here is magical! The hotel is very close to the pyramids, as well as shops and restaurants. The room and bathroom is very clean and comfortable and quiet. Sameh will make you feel right at home. There are alot o f hotels to choose from here and none can beat the personalized experience you will recieve here. So grateful I chose El Kahlil Pyramid Inn. When I come back to Cairo Im coming back here. I highly recommend staying here! Nothing it was a perfect experience!
- Hamdy (10/5): My Third Stay at El Khalil Pyramids View Inn – Simply Amazing! - I recently returned from my third stay at El Khalil Pyramids View Inn, and I can confidently say I will be back again! This place truly captivates my heart every time.
Firstly, the location is unbeatable. It’s just a stone’s throw away from the iconic pyramids and other landmarks in the area, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing.
Additionally, being situated in the heart of the city allows guests to immerse themselves in the rich Egyptian culture and easily connect with the friendly locals.
The hostel itself is impeccably clean, which is something I always appreciate. The staff is exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with any questions or requests. You really feel at home here.
One of the highlights of my stay was the breathtaking rooftop view of the pyramids. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery, especially at sunset!
I highly recommend El Khalil Pyramids View Inn to anyone visiting the area. You will not regret your decision to stay here. Thank you to the wonderful team, and I can’t wait to return soon!
- Omar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Renata (10/5): Stunning vuew and super comfy room - This is a new hotel with a STUNNING view over the pyramids, it feels like you can touch them. I was welcomed with a broad smile and a drink. My room was better than what I expected seeing the pictures. The terrace is WOW. The feeling of having a good breakfast overlooking the pyramids is out of this world. The owner helped me with suggested best entrance to the pyramids and arranging taxi for me. I could leave my luggage there during the day and spend the afternoon on the terrace while waiting for my train. At night they arranged a birthday aprty for a lady who had stayed there for more than a week. It felt like home. I absolutely recommend this hotel! Hope I can go back soon Honestly I cannot find any fault. Maybe just that it's a bit complicated to reach by car as it's a side street but the location on google maps is the correct one, so no issue there.
- Jay (9/5): Authentic experience - Staff were exceptional, rooftop terrace was beautiful, very nice people very helpful Nothing
- Matilde (10/5): Exceptional -

Hotel owner(Adel) is a really nice guy! The views from the terrace will leave you speachless. And the value for money is great!
Facilities wise, bed and pillow are the best we had in Egypt.
We should all come and support local family business like this hotel, who try their best to make guests feel special. Surroundings are... well, you will need to see.

- Mohamed (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location with pyramids view. And the staff was very helpful.
- Khaled (10/5): I couldn’t ask for a better place for such reasonable price. Loved their hospitality. - It’s a great place to live, it’s very close to the pyramids. You will also enjoy the back side of the pyramids. The staffs were unbelievable friendly and welcoming. We arrived late at night, around 3am but they waited for us and offered us welcome drinks and fruits. The owner named Gabry was also always there to help us. He gave us free ride to the pyramids and call us a taxi to the airport with very reasonable price. Their complementary breakfast was good, we didn’t expect it that good. Btw the hotel has a nice terrace where you can have the beautiful pyramids view. I must say I enjoyed my staying there and will definitely be back. Nothing, everything was super great
- Hamdy (10/5): Highly recommended - The room is very clean and the staff is very helpful. If you want to live like a local Egyptian, you should stay here. Why? Because the hostel's location is right in front of the pyramids, in the middle of Egyptian houses. This means you'll be able to learn more about Egyptian culture and traditions, and connect with the friendly Egyptian people. There's nothing better than living like an Egyptian!
- Kavinraaj (1/5): Not advised to stay as a couple or solo traveler - Bunch of scammers around the area. Worst location

- Ya (7/5): Pyramid view terrace - Pyramid view from the terrace (not the angle for sound light show)
Staffs are helpful in giving directions to Uber drivers
Welcome drinks Location is hard to find, somehow unlikely to arrive without the help from the accommodation
Sound of mouse
Some staff tried too hard to follow you anywhere and sell you their tour
- Esther (9/5): Superb - It is a very friendly family hotel, wirh really helpful people and a good energy. Beautiful view at the pyramids. The room was very plessant, good shower.

- Heather (10/5): Amazing! Love!! - The first thing I noticed is how absolutely clean and new everything looks. The room smells good, not like overused air freshener and scents like some hotels, just clean and good. The rooftop terrace is gorgeous and the view is amazing. It’s also a very quiet neighborhood which is unusual for Giza/Cairo so it was very relaxing. The staff is amazing and responded quickly to all our requests and even helped us get pizza and coffee at 2AM. Everything is great!
- Scott (10/5): I lived like a king - The location for the pyramids is ideal and the staff are the most helpful and kind people Nothing
- Jamilah (9/5): It’s really worth it. The pyramids view is exceptionally amusing -

The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing sanctuary after a day of exploring. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, always ready to assist with any request or inquiry.
The hotel's location is unbeatable, with easy access to everything you could possibly want to see in the area, especially the pyramids, which are just a short distance away. Waking up to the view of the pyramids from my room was truly magical and made my stay even more memorable.
And let's talk about the breakfast – it was absolutely delicious, offering a variety of options to suit every taste. Overall, I highly recommend El Khalil Pyramids Inn to anyone looking for a perfect and valuable stay in the heart of Cairo.
- Hamdy (10/5): I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hostel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The st - I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hostel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The staff here are incredibly helpful and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
This was my second time staying at the same hotel, and once again, I was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. However, what truly sets this hostel apart is its breathtaking rooftop breakfast overlooking the majestic pyramids. It's an experience like no other, immersing you in the ancient history and grandeur of Egypt.
Additionally, the hostel's convenient location makes exploring the area a breeze. Everything you need is nearby, and the staff are more than happy to assist with arranging transportation, including OPar taxi rides.
Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the area. You'll be treated to exceptional hospitality, stunning views, and an unforgettable experience. Nothing

The view of the pyramids from the roof was amazing! I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The room and bath were spotless!
- Honest (5/5): Nice staff and view from the roof, but not great location. - The staff is available and helpful. The breakfast is very simple, but you have a beautiful view of the main pyramid, which I found amazing (even at night), and I think it was the very best part of the hotel. The price is ok for what you get. Unfortunately, the inn is located in a very poor and degraded area of Cairo. Every time I had to call a taxi or Uber (to leave or go back to the hotel), the driver had to call the owner of the hotel to find the way among the bumpy and narrow roads... Luckily the owner was always kind to help, so no complaints about the staff, but I found the area also a little unsafe to go out by myself, which I found a little sad. The room was also a little dirty.
- Jaroslaw (9/5): Comfy and quiet place in the shadow of the pyramids - The staff is involved, the place is clean and comfortable and provides everything you need. The view is stunning, and in November, you can see the sun set behind the Giza pyramids.
- Khan (7/5): Good -
- Bruce (8/5): Good value and very friendly and helpful people - Friendly and close to pyramids. Difficult to find but owner came to bring us to the hotel.
- John (5/5): It’s in a ghetto. It’s literally a no go area. It’s not safe there. - View of pyramids. It’s in a ghetto. It’s literally a no go area. It’s not safe there.
- Onur (10/5): Exceptional - Owner of the hotel is so nice people.
They helped us for a kot of thing. I lost my phone one desert and they found it too!!
What can i say they’r brilliant people and cozzy place!
Next week i’ll back with my friend!
- Helge (3/5): Not too bad, but still not good enough. - The view from the terrace was nice.
And So nice with a short stretch to the entrance to the pyramids. Bad breakfast, bad bed, no windows in the room, the room had no chair or table. Bad smell in the bathroom. The access from the main road and shops was very narrow, dark and not pleasant.
- Nicholas (9/5): Excellent stay with great service and support. If looking for value for money and closeness to pyramids then would defin - Location close to the Pyramids. Rooftop terrace with great view. Staff were very helpful. Nice breakfast.
Owner was extremely helpful with tour and activity arrangements, car hire, restaurant reservations, etc etc.
- Richard (6/5): Great location, clean hotel. - Good price for the room.
Clean and comfortable hotel.
View of the pyramids from the roof is spectacular.
Quiet location.
Very authentic location.
Host was very welcoming.
Host looked after me.
Family business.
Breakfast was good. Felt a bit pressured into purchasing other activities; this is typical in the area but its a bit relentless.
Was initially charged $28 US for a single shish kebab. Haggling and price inflation is to be expected, but this was a bit too far.
- Hatem (9/5): Superb -
- Hamdy (10/5): Exceptional - The property has a wonderful view in front of the Great Pyramid, and it's near the main entrance of the Great Pyramids. The staff was very helpful. The check-in was very organized and smooth.
One of the highlights of my stay was the wonderful traditional Egyptian breakfast that was served each morning. Enjoying local delicacies while overlooking the Great Pyramids was an experience that words can hardly describe. The blend of flavors and the ambiance of the setting made it an unforgettable part of my journey.
The stay is worth the price. I do recommend this property."
