- Donald (7/5): Loved the location. Clean apartment. - Location was awesome! Bed was very comfortable. Did not like the shower. Limited hot water for 2 people. Could not understand directions for washer-very frustrating Need better shower head rather than hand held. Should include Easy English instructions for washing machine
- helen (9/5): A great location to visit all areas of Athens - Location was perfect, close to everything, restaurants metro and all of the historic areas. There wasn’t really anything that we didn’t like.
- Pamela (8/5): -
- Oakley (7/5): Great for a short stay - The location was brilliant, easy to walk to all the sights.
Loved the old style of the property, would love to know the history and who lived there The main bed slats kept slipping off.
- mohanad elbaz (9/5): - The fast response to the massage and the hospital of the host and that he accepted that I could check in early in the morning although that the rules said that afternoon and the place was amazing and cozy
- Anthony (6/5): Great location let down by lack of information - The location was great. The property was clean and well stocked with consumables. We weremet at the property by the Housekeeper easy hand over of Keys We misunderstood the instructions/lack of on use of Hot Water, and ran out during a shower. There were no instructions on the use of any appliances or the HWS or washing machine(in any language)
- Rebecca (9/5): -
- Anthony (8/5): - Great location No instructions on use of appliances,
- Patricia (10/5): Great location. Comfortable and very accommodating host - The location was in the heart of central Athens. We could walk everywhere. Sites, food shopping. It was all convenient
- Claude (7/5): Convenient but old apartment in a nice area. - Convenient location close to a metro station. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Good size apartment. Front door difficult to open and close. Extremely difficult to operate the washing machine. Would be useful to have instructions. Hot water system has to be switched on every day.
- Richard (3/5): -
- Jacka (9/5): Great location. - Loved the location. Quiet area Meyers from walking streets Acropolis and metro Appartment furnished with furniture that needed some maintenance. Kitchen had microwave and cook top but no toaster or oven. Plenty of cups and plates etc
- sabine (8/5): - Emplacement de l'appartement parfait au pied de l'Acropole proche métro supermarché et restaurants Dans la description mention de 2 salles de bains or il n'y a une seule salle d'eau avec toilettes et des toilettes séparées avec lave mains
- Peggy (8/5): Great location - Great location, near restaurants and the Acropolis. Kitchen lacked essentials like salt, pepper, oil.
- Sharon (7/5): In need of a revamp. Central location. - Its location was excellent. It was clean. It could do with some modernisation and updating. There should be more tea/coffee/milk
- Kirsty (9/5): - Great location, close walk to everything Nothing
- Jack (10/5): This apartment is close to many places of interest. It is comfortable & the service was great. Highly recommend them - It is a homely apartment close to everything. Add to that the staff were very helpful. Nothing
- Alberta (10/5): Would stay here again. - Mostly the location. Couldn’t get any closer to dining and shopping. Everything was fine.
- Tina (10/5): Perfect apartment in a perfect location! - This was the perfect place for our stay in Athens. The apartment is great - spacious, comfortable and very clean. It overlooks a beautiful tree-lined street with loads of places to eat and great little shops. We took the advice from the person who left the previous review and went to the restaurant to the left of the apartment and down a little. If it’s the same one it’s called Sto Kentro and is great. It’s kind of on a little intersection of a couple of roads. Lots of trees/shade and great food, wine and service. We ate directly outside the apartment one night too which was also nice - and the gelato shop is great. It’s very handy to have the metro station only 100m from the apartment (especially as we arrived in the middle of a taxi strike). Stavros was excellent at communicating with us and going out of his way to help us find our way on the metro during the strike which really was quite a challenging situation. I highly recommend this apartment and the location it is in. We were stunned at how close it is to the Acropolis.
- Rosemary (7/5): Very nice place, close to everything would certainly stay there again - The location was amazing The shower was odd as very low on the wall and we could not work the washing machine not instructions in English
- Evangelia (10/5): -
- Simon (9/5): Superb location and fantastic apartment. - Lovely clean and comfortable beds.
Location was 10/10. 2 minutes walk from Akropolis and slopes entrance and old town. In the middle of all the buzz of Athens but very quiet apartment.
Don’t miss the bar as you turn left out the apartment and across the road. Wonderful food and drink which is a fraction of the price of the bars and restaurants outside of the apartment and down towards the Akropolis. Nothing
- Gina (9/5): Excellent location, quiet, clean and beautiful spacious apartment, train station very close by, - They allowed us to come in early and leave our luggage before checkin time. Would have preferred two single beds in 2nd bedroom. However the couch was comfortable for our teenager to sleep on
- Juntong (8/5): Very good - The location is perfect, just next to the Acropolis museum. And it’s clean The facilities are quite old
- Tricia (8/5): Very good -
- Kreston (7/5): Good - Great location! The shower head was too low and the shower too small. There was only one bathroom for 4 people.
- Dale (10/5): Can't wait to book this again! - Stavros, the host, was very communicative and accommodating with our needs.
The apartment location was fantastic, beyond our expectations. we could see the Acropolis from our balcony. The ice cream shop downstairs was the best!
Very comfortable beds and a lovely bottle of wine on our arrival. Leaving. 🤣
- Roger (10/5): Super Location. Probably a bit more dated than its photos but not in a bad way. Homely traditional feel. Very comfortabl - Excellent Location with lovely little balcony for sun downers and people watching.. Very good communications
- Katalin (10/5): Feel the vibe from the past - Awesome location, accommodating host, spatious apartment, nice wine. I love staying between walls with a history. Only stay there is you like antiques and willing to take care.
- Thelma (10/5): Exceptional - Such a good experience. Fabulous location.
Athens not the easiest place for driving and Stavros helped us to find a car park.
Bottle of wine. Coffee and biscuits waiting for us.
Thank you
- Abigail (10/5): Great location!!! - It was at a great location, right next to the Plaka and so close to the akropolis. It was really nice size and they gave us wine and utensils and the working kitchen was great! The amenities all worked pretty fine and would totally stay here again. There is no view of the akropolis from where we stayed in the balcony, but if you left the place and walked down the street then you’d have a view.
- Dsal (5/5): Great location - fair apartment - The location was fantastic. The Booking site states 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. It only has 1 (fair) small bathroom and an extra toilet. In my opinion it should be advertised as such, not as 2 bathrooms.
The shower head holder on the wall was broken which meant you had to hold the shower head the entire time.
No written communication on how to use anything including the hot water system (only limited instructions from a non English speaking housekeeper we meet briefly onsite).
The hot water runs out after 1 and half showers - not ideal when there are 4 people staying there.
There were no instructions on how to use the washing machine which would have been helpful.
Little things like making sure the bin liners fit in the bag
The apartment could be great with some small improvements - fix or repair broken or damaged furniture, cups, plates etc.
Have a "how to guide" on how to use things in the apartment and recommendations on nearby restaurants, attractions etc.
Change the ad to 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with an extra toilet.
- Christophe (1/5): Unsafe - Burglars have access to the property. It’s not secure at all!!
I stayed at this apartment, and while the space itself was clean, comfortable, and well-located, I experienced a serious security issue that overshadowed my entire stay. While I was away, someone entered the apartment without any signs of forced entry and stole my belongings, including my passport, cash, and valuables. This strongly suggests that the door is either insecure or that unauthorized individuals had access to the key. This is a severe safety concern. I chose to stay despite the incident, as I know how to defend myself, but for someone more vulnerable—such as a woman traveling alone or an elderly person—the situation could have been far worse. What made the situation worse was the response from the property owner and Booking.com—both were entirely unhelpful. Booking.com simply directed me to file a police report (which I did) but offered no real assistance or support, despite the severity of the incident. The property owner also took no responsibility and offered no explanation or help. If you value your safety and peace of mind, I strongly advise against booking this property. The apartment may look good on the surface, but the lack of security and poor support in the event of a crime is unacceptable.
- Steven (9/5): Superb - Everything was nice and clean, and the location was absolutely perfect, close to Acropolis and everything. There were also plenty of small shops and restaurants nearby. From the photos, we thought the apartment had been more fresh/ recently renovated than it actually was, but we still loved it and had a really nice stay.
- Lalit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Garry (7/5): Good -
- Kath (10/5): Very enjoyable in every aspect - Location was fantastic
Charming apartment
Clean and comfy
- Fatma (10/5): Exceptional - Location was so good, subway station was really close. Everything looked like the pictures None
- John (8/5): Very good - Location Nothing
- Anita (10/5): Great location, great price for the size of apartment, would definitely recommend - Fantastic property - great size! Was nice having a full bathroom plus a second toilet. The kitchen was quite small but fine for a vacation stay. All of the other rooms were very spacious. Great sized lounge to relax on. Air con worked perfectly. Nice breeze coming through the open doors when you didn't need the air con. Fantastic location, walking distance to dozens of restaurants as well as the metro station and of course across the road from the acropolis museum. Was a bit noisy traffic wise at certain times of the day but the bedrooms were at the rear of the apartment so no issue with noise when sleeping. The lift was great to have. Hosts were very accommodating in letting us leave our luggage in the apartment before check in while the cleaner was there, and again after we checked out while the cleaner was there. Decor was a bit quirky for a holiday rental but added to the character of being in Greece!
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - Great location - close to many restaurants, shops and the Acropolis. Nothing.
- Anna (8/5): Very good - The apartment was in an excellent location near the Acropolis and we appreciated the spacious and comfortable living area and balcony. Having a washing machine was a huge convenience. The bathrooms and kitchen are quite small and the apartment is a little dated so doesn't have many modern conveniences.
- Rachel (10/5): Incredibly homey, quick responses from the host. - Cozy, wonderful apartment. Amazing location, very fun neighborhood to walk around and easy access for touring One of the mattresses was broken and painful to sleep on
- Evangelia (10/5): Exceptional - Location and size of apartment. Everything was great. No complaints.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Evangelia (9/5): Superb -
- Vicky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jaro (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (10/5): Wonderful first visit to Athens staying in a lovely family home with character. - It was very convenient, the location was great. The apartment was clean and breezy. I slept really well. Loved it all.
- Kon (9/5): Superb - In a busy street but very quiet. Lots of room. Air conditioning was great.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. We were able to wash some clothes with a small washing machine. It is in the perfect position for walking to the Acropolis and shops and restaurants. Check in easy. Nothing
- Christina (8/5): It was a lovely old world Athenia home- a wonderful way to experience old Athenian graceful living. - Proximity to center Everything was fine. Good restaurants to visit- good food near by.
- Selin (9/5): Superb -
- Mary (9/5): We enjoyed our stay .. Staff was contactable anytime …Speaks good English…it’s very good value for - It is accessible to almost everything I want as a tourist.. the acropoli museum and the acropoli are so near… it’s also near the metro too.. bedsheets were very clean The lights going down the stairs at night should be well lit…
- Marcin (10/5): Great lactation, view, helpfull staff. - Location, size, view, balcony, tidiness.
- Apostolos (9/5): Wonderful 2 days in Athens. - 1st of all the location is 2nd to none. Really! And I am picky on that matter.
Stuff extremely friendly and even though we had a late arrival, they arranged to stay open and even pick up service from airport with a trusted taxi driver to arrive timely.
Strongly recommend to everybody planning a short -or longer - stay in Athens.
- Olga (9/5): the apartment is perfect for those travelers who come to Athens to feel the life of the city - The apartment is in an excellent location, in the center, but at the same time quite quiet, such a combination is rare in Athens. Within walking distance are the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, the entrance to the metro, Plaka and Monastyraki are 10-15 minutes on foot. There are many places around where you can grab a snack, eat a hearty meal, drink a cup of coffee, buy groceries and souvenirs. The apartment is cozy, two isolated bedrooms with double beds, very convenient for a family with teenage children or two pairs of friends. Two toilets! in the living room you can connect your device to the TV and watch Netflix or YouTube. Small kitchen, but has everything you need. The owner Stavros was promptly in touch, very kind, and was ready to fulfill our additional wishes, for which we thank him very much! since the apartment is located in an old building, there are some details that you may not like - old windows, parquet flooring, “tired” walls, etc. But for us this was not a drawback, but rather, it is a historical apartment with its own vibe, filled with vintage furniture and interior items, all of which can be seen in the photographs. People who want to feel the atmosphere of an intelligent old Athens apartment will like everything. I don’t recommend this apartment to hi-tech lovers, they will be disappointed.
- Anonymous (4/5): Good location and that’s what you pay for. - The location was fabulous. The to didn’t work, there was no cleaning equipment including cloths for longer stays.
- Tomas (10/5): Fantastic location and spacious and comfortable - Location, cleanliness, spacious and comfortable
- Andrijana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joan (10/5): Comfortable - Location Nothing all good
- Anne (9/5): An excellent stay in a very comfortable apartment in a perfect location at reasonable cost. - The apartment was spacious, comfortable and quiet.
It was in the perfect location at the foot of the Acropolis, across the road from the museum and the metro station and surrounded by restaurants.
We thought it excellent value for money. A small handbook for the apartment giving instructions on how to use the appliances would have been useful.
We couldn't get the a/c to work in the sitting room but it didn't matter because it wasn't too hot during our stay.
The owner replied to email queries promptly though.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (10/5): Exceptional -
- Konstantinos (8/5): Cute Athenian appartment - The appartment was cute placed in the best area of Athens The smoke alarm was biping all the time and it was very annoying..The communication was ok but very impersonal.I guess it was an office that was taking care of the appartment but still a bit impersonal.
- Anna (10/5): Absolutely amazing place to stay and explore Athens! - Best location in a very nice, beautiful and lively neighborhood, at walking distance to all the main attractions. Entrances to Acropolis and it’s Museum are just around the corner. Located at the end of a pedestrian street with variety of shops and restaurants. Just few minutes walking distance to the picturesque streets of Plaka. Apartment is beautiful and spacious, with unique personality and a very home-like feel. We had everything we needed for a comfortable family stay. Apartment has good air conditioning, comfortable and good size bedrooms, clean and well functioning bathrooms, kitchen with all basic necessities for some light cooking and spacious dining room area. Big highlight for us was a cozy balcony with partial side view of Acropolis.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional - spacious, good location, all the facilities you need and quite charming.
- Tsungchieh (8/5): Very good -
- Alberto (9/5): Superb -
- Karla (10/5): Gorgeous apartment and great location - Perfect location, apartment wide, a lot of light, gorgeous furniture, very comfortable beds and pillows, nice view, close to the metro station, full of restaurants next door. Had to pay extra 20,00 euros for after midnight checking.
- Lisa (3/5): nice location, comfortable beds and nice towels. I will not stay there again. too much for what we got. - location no lightbulbs. the woman that met us there ran out with no explanation of anything. it was not very clean either.
- Bryonia (9/5): Invited to stay in a genuine family home in heart of Old Athens. - Loved the ambience of this former family home right in the heart of Old Athens, the faded elegance of the apartment, complete with the family's furniture and portraits, book collection. Fabulous, original 1920's interior updated only where necessary - bathroom/bedroom furnishings/new washing machine and refrigerator. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony, drinking coffee, people watching. Safe tourist area with visible Police presence. Strolled streets and lane-ways full of restaurants, cafes, shops, next door to major attractions. Secure building and apartment, spacious, clean, quiet, full of character. I liked it because it was an invitation to stay in a genuine family home. Nothing - perfect for those who don't need, or want, a brand new hotel room.
- Barona (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed at Athens Classic Apartment during our stay in the city. The apartment is in the very heart of Athens and still a quiet place to enjoy your visit. It is nicely decorated and full of local history. The communication with the hosts was great. We would highly recommend the apartment as it is a great base to discover the fascinating place that is Athens.
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Vasileios (9/5): Superb -
- Alexandru (8/5): Very good - Positioning at the base of the Acropolis
- Kevin (9/5): Superb - Close to the acropolis and athens old city. God's restaurant is right next door. Very highly rated. Across the street from Athens Museum of lstoryAnthropology. Exit door handles came off. Needs better fasteners. Lo
- Giorgos (10/5): Exceptional -
