- Frank (9/5): Time travel back to the 19th century. - The owners took great care of us, giving us tips for interesting places in the region. The full English breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The hotel's style is unique; it's like a time travel back to the 19th century. The parking spaces are on the street.

- Ian (9/5): A really nice place with friendly helpful owners, quiet and convenient for short or longer stays. - The building is old and historic but has been converted tastefully into a variety of B&B apartments; ours upstairs had an ensuite and was at rear of building away from any road noise; it was extremely comfortable; had all the amenities required. The cooked English breakfast was tasty and delightful. There is also a guest lounge with a large TV; the TV in the room was quite small but adequate. Tea, coffee and chocolate making facilities are provided for guests on the ground floor level. The property is conveniently located about 350 m from the Services Club which provides excellent evening meals and drinks. The owners are helpful. Our overall experience was really positive; we would stay again and would recommend the property to others. Room was a little under-prepared when we arrived; only one towel for the two of us and TV remote did not work initially (battery replacement required) but all this was rectified without fuss in a short space of time so no real angst. These were minor issues and we knew they would be easily resolved.

- Felicity (10/5): An absolutely stunning bed and breakfast located in the heart of Narromine. - I absolutely loved my stay at The Abbey! The hostess Jenine was kind, welcoming and friendly. From the moment I arrived I felt comfortable. The room was large and tastefully decorated. It opened out to a stunning balcony where I enjoyed watching the sunset. The breakfast the next morning was delicious! Overall, I loved my little getaway. Just what I needed. Narromine is lucky to have such a gem. Will definitely be back.
- Rana (9/5): Superb - Historical, like stepping back in time. Great location.
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, walking distance to dinner and Cafe options. Comfortable bed and strong shower. I had a great nights rest. The decor is tastefully done and I enjoyed the tasty cooked breakfast in the atrium. Jenine is a wonderful and generous host. She went above and beyond for me when I got stuck in a pickle and needed her help. This is a gem of a Bed and Breakfast. Thank you Jenine, I'll be back.
- Talha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (8/5): It was fine - It has a lot of character
Beautifully decorated It would be good to have curtains on the windows and door to block out the light
- Katharina (7/5): Mixed emotions - Beautiful old house. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Excellent breakfast. Everything a bit too old. You feel like you are in the 1920. And itâs really difficult to keep such a place less dusty with less cobwebs.
- Steven (9/5): Great alternative to a motel stay - Lovely charm and history and cleanliness. Friendly hostess Nothing
- Jeff (8/5): Very good - Comfortable, clean and friendly. Only issue was that there was a big flood light from next door coming straight in the window - there were no blinds or curtains, so the room was very bright, making sleep difficult.
- Jan (9/5): Superb -
- Charles (7/5): An interesting place to stay that could have been better. - Historic building is interesting and quaint. Breakfast was good. Didn't get the blanket we were told we would and there was no quilt on the bed. Plenty of cobwebs around the place.

- Kelly (10/5): Amazing building drenched in history. A must stay. - My partner and I stayed at the Abbey in Narromine recently for one night on a Central West road trip.
The restored Abbey, built in 1919 was exactly what we were hoping for being lovers of old-world charm. The experience of the 1900s grandeur Monastery is tasteful and interesting.
My partner and I enjoyed sitting in the common room and taking the atmosphere of the house. Our bedroom was very comfortable with a great bed, which made for an amazing sleep and the ensuite well stocked with great hot water pressure which we welcomed on a cold Narromine night. Jenine, our host was very welcoming and gave us good information about the Abbey and cooked us a scrumptious hot breakfast before our trip back to Newcastle. I highly recommend staying at the Abbey it is drenched in history and is truly a lovely building.
- Yashneel (7/5): Good -
- Helen (8/5): Very good - The ambience and being in a lovely old house with a proper BnB Nothing
- Sharyn (8/5): Very good -
- Ronald (8/5): We had a short but delightful stay. - Enjoyed the authentic period restorations, very spacious and well appointed. Showering in an old claws foot bath is not ideal. No off street parking.
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Location. Great hosts and couldn't ask for better option for breakfast. â¤ď¸
- Robert (8/5): I enjoyed it imensley. - Roomy & friendly with an excellent breakfast. Nothing
- Annamaria (10/5): Exceptional - The character and atmosphere of The Abbey were perfect. We loved how everything is kept in its original style. A comfortable stay with a hearty breakfast to get you started. Highly recommended.
- Sara (10/5): Wholesome stay. - Jenine was a beautiful host and welcomed us warmly. The house and our room was very lovely.
The home cooked breakfast was freshly made by Jenine and it made the whole stay very wholesome.
We will be back when weâre in the area. -
- Vee (9/5): Very comfortable. Lovely little place to relax. - Jenine was personable and we were given a home cooked breakfast.
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Sue (6/5): Bed comfortable. Cold room. - Jenine was very hospitable and helpful. Good breakfast. Bed was comfortable. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Outside room in the hallway. No milk.
Central heating went off at 9.30pm - 7am. The room was cold. Claw bathtub with shower hard to get in and out as we are older - no rails to hold onto.
- Cheryl (8/5): Very good -
- Makala (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Caryn (6/5): Sleepless - Great location. Very quiet The bed in Prior a room was dreadful! Lumpy, sagged in the middle and squeaked loudly at every movement. A disgrace for such a lovely building
- Andrew (10/5): Jenice was a wonderful host. I was coming in late, but she made sure that everything was wonderful - Jenice was a wonderful host. I was coming in late, but she made sure that everything was prepared so that I could just relax upon arrival; it felt like I had arrived in a sanctuary. I slept well, and then Jenice made a delicious generous home-cooked breakfast. nothing could be better than what I received. Everything was well-provided for as they advertised. There was mothing to critique.
- Jason (7/5): Good -
- Gregory (7/5): Good -
- Margaret (9/5): Superb - The Abbey is a beautifully restored character filled building, perfectly located in the centre of town. A friendly host and generous breakfast, I would highly recommend The Abbey as an alternative to a bland motel.
- Ingrid (8/5): Enchanting historic Building in Lovely Country Town - This is a beautiful old building in Narromine. It is a llovely experience staying there. The staff are very helpful and caring. The building has been renovated and decorated very nicely. The breakfast was simple but very good. The furniture is in keeping with the style of the building. Our bed was beautiful and fairly comfortable but I prefer a double ensemble.
- Karla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ingrid (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (7/5): Nice people, good breakfast, great character, hot and melted chocolate and warm drinks (mine) - Excellent breakfast and location, nice friendly owners, great character. Sadly the aircon was non functional in my room (but it had been a 42degree day) however thats when you need it and is not unusual in Narromine.
Also the lack of a bar fridge in the room was a shame.
- Debbie (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Abbey B&B - Jeanine was wonderful, attending to us personally. Her cooked breakfast set us up for our busy days of exploring the region.
I would recommend this B&B. There is nothing we didn't like
- Philip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rob (7/5): Pleasant stay, house could use maintenance and upgrade to restore it to its former glory. - Friendly staff, good location, WiFi Bugs, no insect screens in windows.
- Warren (9/5): Reccommended - Very nice place to stay. A building full of character. Good breakfast
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (8/5): A very comfortable stay. -

- Simon (8/5): Excellent old fashion hospitality - Friendly host and welcome
- Blair (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Bruce (9/5): Superb -
- Lucy (4/5): Fawlty Towers comes to mind. - A nice old building. Clean bathrooms and bedroom. Access was not provided early as requested, despite the property being ready. No communication and didnât answer calls for some time so we had to get ready for a wedding in their back yard. Eventually they sent us a text for the entry code, which was wrong. Correct code one letter different. Eventually answered our calls and gave correct code over the phone.
Plates and food waste from guests from the previous night were left on the table in the dining area, for the duration of our (one night) stay- advice from owners was just to sit at another table. Ok, sure⌠there were two clean tables, but not the nicest thing to have other guests 24hrs old breakfast scraps at the table next to you while you eat. Breakfast was mediocre- six slices of toast and some cereal but only a small jug of milk and one of juice for four people.
It was very cold (to be fair it was a cold night, but also very cold inside), the beds are uncomfortable.
- Jing (10/5): A great host! Excellent communication, The rooms are beautiful, and clean, will come back next time! -
- Susan (5/5): Passable - Lovely house. Comfortable bed. Great bathroom. Spacious. We were only given a very basic continental breakfast. The advertising said we'd get a cooked breakfast. This was a major factor in my choosing this accommodation, so it was very disappointing.
Little things like: no shampoo provided, only one tissue left in the box, an external door left open throughout the night (security issue).
- Peter (10/5): Abbey Stay. - Stepping back in time in The Abbey. Beautiful room with en suite. Hearty breakfast included cooked as ordered, plenty of choices and not too big. Host was very welcoming.
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Burns (8/5): Very good -
- Xyz222 (9/5): Great place to stay off the Newall highway. Excellent breakfast - Great value in pleasant surroundings Nothing
- Hana (9/5): Superb -
- Kylie (8/5): A good stay overall - The history of the property and the ability to walk into town. Everything was good.
- Morris (10/5): My stay was very comfortable and the staff was pleasingly professional. - N/A N/A
