• Brandi (10/5): A safe and gorgeous B&B nestled in the jungle hosted by friendly folks - The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the hummingbirds and enjoying nature. A nice walk from your room to the cafe is a great way to start the morning. The room was spacious and tidy. There is plenty of room to set your things: bench at foot of bed, 2 side tables and a desk. The bed wasn't super comfortable but the pillows made up for that.

It's a beautiful locale and we really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts overlooking the private lake and watching all the birds. The owners were so kind and helpful. Minor thing but the kitchen in our place was quite small for cooking and had limited cooking utensils. Was fine though as we explored the town and had some nice meals out.

• Helen (10/5): Beautiful B and B - We stayed in the Butterfly Room. it was lovely. Breakfast was very good. Monika and Rob, the hosts, were very friendly and helpful. The walk up to the restaurant was uphill a little, which was a challenge for me, but the beauty of the B and B grounds made up for it.

There were humming birds and toucans to watch as we enjoyed our breakfast and chats with the other guests. There is an adjacent store that sells locally made products as well. • Elizabeth (10/5): A bit of paradise! - This is a beautiful property just outside of town and about 30-40 minutes from La Fortuna (on a good road!) It is filled with gorgeous plants and birds, very tranquil. We could hear howler monkeys and birds early in the morning! The capacious rooms each had bathrooms with beautiful hand painted tiles and wonderful rainforest soaps. I don’t know if they had AC, but the fan was completely adequate to keep us cool at night. Monika makes fabulous, generous omelets and the mango juice is to die for. Our sons (22 & 24) were in heaven. There was also the best gift shop we encountered on our trip- really an art gallery but with moderately priced souvenirs as well. A highlight of our week!

We enjoyed watching the bird feeder over breakfast where there was a flock of collered aracari (a type of toucan). The food and coffee were good and the breakfast area overlooks the pond. We arrived a day late due to problems with our flights and the hosts kindly did not charge us for the day we missed. We would have preferred a later checkout, but everything else was amazing.

• Jane (9/5): Nature at its best in this lovely B and B, a short drive from Nuevo Arenal town. - The room was a nice size, lots of room to do yoga for two people, well furnished and creatively decorated~ We loved the bright colourful art in the room, bathroom, hallway, and at the cafe and gallery where we had breakfast. For lovers of art, this is the best place. Also for those who love nature, the rooms have a beautiful view {with balcony} of the beautiful garden and grounds, a small lake, and over to the hill where the cafe and gallery are, and equally the view from that terrace is very beautiful too, with iguanas up in a tall tree near the lake! Breakfasts were good in the terrace with many hummingbirds and other bird life too. No worries ; )

The only thing that I didn’t love about our stay was that the fridge wasn’t plugged in when we got there.
• Kathryn (9/5): cosy b&b with beautiful gardens - lovely comfortable, cosy room with a huge bed and hot shower with very good pressure. the b&b is set in a stunning garden overlooking a small lake. good breakfast on a lovely terrace overlooking the garden and lake with lots of bird activity going on. the hosts were very welcoming. Rob gave really good recommendations for dinner. we had to drive to restaurants. would have preferred a little more choice over breakfast options, but thats just a small thing. Overall it was a very lovely place to stay.

There is a pond were we swam and kayaked in during our stay. We saw multiple toucans in the tree next to the restaurant. Our son did not want to leave when we had to leave to go to our new location. I wish we had more days to spend here! -

Check out Moyas Resturant. Its super close with live entertainment. This place is a great value! My wife and I highly recommend it! ABSOLUTELYNOTHING. Place had a lot of charm. Hosts were great. • Travelling (9/5): Quiet oasis boutique hotel - Peaceful oasis and quiet - just natural sounds of birds and monkeys in the distance. We heard a cow too. Good coffee in the am. The hot water worked fine - you just need to turn it on full immediately to activate the heat on demand. Bonus tip: ask Rob to book you the Crazy Allan Night Walk - we saw so many creatures and it was worth it. See pic example from the walk. Other pics are from the property and not the captions assigned. It wasn't clear how the breakfast worked. The breakfast was good but we would have preferred to choose since we only stayed 2 nights.
• Caroariasv (10/5): The coziest place to stay! - This place was so beautiful. The property is amazing, so you will have the most amazing views while you have your breakfast. Our room was very cute and clean. We did not realize that there would be a little kitchen in the suite, so that was a great surprise. It was super well equipped. We honestly wished we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were so king. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the small lake on the property. There are also many bird feeders, so you get to watch the hummingbirds while you eat. There is a beautiful gallery as well with lots to see!

It was clean, tastefully decorated and sits in a quiet location. The breakfast was amazing every day. Thank you, Monica and Rob. Some people complain about no a/c, but this location in Costa Rica does not require it. There were nights we left the slider open and had the fan on, and we were actually chilly. Was quite nice.

The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, the property has a stunning garden with a lake at which you can observe a wide variety of birds. Monika and Rob are such kind people who try everything to make their guests feel comfortable. Would definitely come back again! Nothing! Just note that you should consider having a car to get there cause it’s not in the city/town center:)
• Pamela (8/5): Such lush, forested surroundings - The surroundings are beautiful and lush. So many birds everywhere. The shop with local craft items is very good. Our rooms were on an upper level and there's not any help to get up the steep stairs. So if you can't handle that, ask for a room on the lowest level. It's a very long, slow drive to get there. I would have preferred some choice in breakfast. But, at least it was not the local fare we got everywhere else.

• Louisee (7/5): B&B: Bed is great, Breakfast is disappointing - The place is beautiful: very close to nature, with lots of flowers and even a lake. The bedroom is also beautiful, with comfortable bed and soft linen. Breakfast was quite a deception due to its size and quality. It was served a plate with scrambled eggs, one slice of bread (split in two), a quarter of an orange, a third of a slice of pineapple, half banana, and a tiny slice of watermelow that was old and dry (probably was cut in the previous day and left in the refrigerator without cover). For beverages, we had a small cup of juice and coffee.

• Faith (9/5): Lucky Bug was my daughter's favorite of our lodging choices in Costa Rica. - It was a real treat eating breakfast with hummingbirds darting about in front of us! Plus, the breakfast was delicious. The landscaping and detail to decor makes this place unique. Also, after a rain, a ton of toads and frogs came out at night. You don't need an expensive night tour. Just walk around the property and see them all. My daughter loved that. There is some wear and tear in the bathroom, but it didn't spoil our fun there!

The hummingbirds were a constant source of beauty and intrigue each morning for breakfast and anytime we visited the restaurant. Truly a delight to stay there.

Like we loved it, felt very welcoming and really relaxed vibes! Though we stayed 2 nights and did a long 3.5h hike in between, could easily stayed longer. gracias Rob & Monika All was good for us!
• Sabrina (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our stay at this B&B. The room and the garden were beautiful, the location really great close to the lake. The hosts were very nice and served an amazing breakfast. We were sad that we only stayed for one night. Would come back anytime!

Bob & Monica made sure we had everything we needed and more. Thank you again for my extra coffee :) the nature was fantastic, breakfast and room overlooking tranquil lake and nature. you can have breakfast with cure humming birds very morning.

• Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Kettle in room would have been good. Was a coffee percolator but tea tricky. Probably says somewhere food not always available in the evening but unfortunately I missed that. So being on foot and an isolated site means difficulty
