San Roque is a wonderful little town and El Conventillo de San Roque is the perfect place to stay when you visit. It is beautifully decorated, super clean, really comfortable and the host is friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this accommodation! Nothing. It was all perfect!

• Marc (10/5): Super kamertje op een mooie lokatie - Wat een fijn kamertje op een heerlijke lokatie, kort bij een kerkje en een mooi plein. De kamer is niet alleen mooi maar ook super netjes en praktisch ingericht, met een mini keukentje en enkele krukjes. Op het binnenkoertje een paar zetels en tafel voor de apero. Gratis parkeren wat lagerop. Helemaal niets. Wij waren heel tevreden.

Pieni kylä oli elävä ja söpö. Kylpyhuone oli melko homeen/viemärin hajuinen. Myös pyyhkeet haisivat pahalta (siltä, että ne olivat unohdettu märkinä koneeseen liian pitkäksi aikaa).

La disponibilité de la personne que nous avons eu au téléphone pour le Check in ( nous n’avions pas de Wifi pour communiquer dans la journée) Appartement simple mais tout y est malgré la petite taille du studio 18m2

Estaba todo muy limpio Las Toallas y el interior de armarios y muebles Olían bastante a Humedad. En el Jardín interior estaba techado y nos daba un poco de miedo, porque había una parte rota donde entraba el agua. Pero supongo que era algo circunstancial, por el tema de lluvias.

C). Miejsce bardzo komfortowe dla dwóch osób. W odległości ok. 350 m jest spory plac, na którym można parkować; w ten sposób unika się jeżdżenia wąskimi uliczkami miasta. Właściciel bardzo miły i pomocny. 10/10

• Jean François (10/5): - San Roque is the perfect spot to spend a night in the region if one does not enjoy the bustle of Algeciras. The village is beautiful, historical and quiet. The perspectives from the top of the hill is wonderful and one can contemplate Gibraltar easily. The room at the Conventillo is fully equipped for an independent stay (kitchen, coffee, fridge). This was absolutely lovely.

Communication from the host was excellent with all information necessary provided before arrival. The apparent is advertised for 3 people however the extra bed is extremely uncomfortable with a hard piece of wood right in the middle.

• José Antonio (9/5): Un pequeño y confortable apartamento para disfrutar de un bello pueblo - La ubicación, la limpieza y la casa en sí, antigua pero restaurada con gusto, bonita, confortable y silenciosa. En realidad, es un pequeño apartamento ideal para una o dos personas. No s´si un sofa que tene se hace cama lo que permitiría ir con algún niño en el caso de familias. Bueno, no es que no me gustara exactamente, pero eché de menos un enchufe en el baño.

• Tracy (9/5): - Everything was brand new. The location was great. Good communication from the owner. He even collected and kept hold of a parcel for me that I had posted from England. Tea and coffee facilities. A beautiful building and space. It felt very safe. Great kitchen equipment. The water pressure was very low in the shower but to be fair, I didn't mention this while I was there.

Was also surprised by the lively nightlife which was great to see. Bit difficult to stand up as a man using the toilet but not a deal breaker. Still a great apartment!

Would probably book the one bedroom apartments for more space if staying longer. Location was lovely in the heart of the town near the church and main square. Easy walk to supermarkets/restaurants and bus to Algeciras/La Linea. Very easy entry/exit. Owner takes great pride in this lovely place. Note, patio is internal and communal. Would have liked a private patio but that is just our preference. It was all very stylish.

Modern appliances, toilet, shower, shampoo, conditioner, body wash Immaculate room, bathroom. Coffee in room. More coffee packets, creamers, & sugars were provided upon texting never-to-see owner, Mario, via nephew who lives there, whom we met accidentally, upon arrival. Our intent was to be near Gibraltar. Although it's not the best choice for our purpose, we are glad to have stayed HERE! The hilltop church, a block from us, was beautiful , tho not open during our visit. We enjoyed our meal at the busy hilltop restaurant. Server Felix was a Godsend, reminding us to take our passports to Gibraltar the next day. Had we not, we would have to spend up to two hours to get a bus back to San Roque, climb back up to our room then back to Gibraltar by bus...We would have lost more than half a day. Thanks, Felix! We stopped in the city museum halfway down the hill. Curators Maria Carmen and Miguel were wonderfully attentive and helpful! Emma, housekeeper was lovely. The museum is immaculate & full of amazing ancient artifacts of the locale! Horribly difficult to find by the Spanish-only speaking taxi driver, but neighborhood British citizen John assisted us once the driver stopped to ask for help. He walked us three blocks to our stay. Hilltop location made the near-mile walk to and from the square (for the bus,) on the sidewalk with luggage difficult. LUCKILY, there was no rain during our stay, footing on the sidewalks & cobblestone streets would have been treacherous.
