Guest Reviews
- Martin (1/5): Misrepresented property - Good location. The flat was misrepresented as a one bedroom flat with a double bed and a sofa bed that could accomodate up to four people. It was only a studio apartment with one double bed, a wardrobe with no handles, a fire alarm hanging off the ceiling and large water stain in the ceiling.
- Anonymous (5/5): OK for 1 emergency night not 3 like we did - The location was good for what we needed with great transport links. The kitchen was tiny but had everything we needed The door key codes were v sensitive. The shower was v hot all the time. It was quite noisy of a night but we were expecting that. There was some banging early in the morning from the shop on the ground floor being done up. The worrying thing was all the plug sockets were extremely hot. The stairs very steep and some of the black grips were loose but the hand rain was good as this was needed. The shower floor and bathroom floor was v slippy. With no hand rails we did need to use a towel for grip as nearly slipped getting out. Whole place could do with a upgrade tbh. Stained bed, flat pillows, wardrobe not stable. Unable to get tv to work. The host didn't answer the phone number provided but did msg us back. No clear instructions on where to take our rubbish or in the event of a fire ect
No fire blanket for the cooker. Just generally lacking
- Dean (5/5): Passable - Location great, room very clean, lovely bed No fire door on the apartment!!, getting in front door initially difficult as it was for others. Hallway very uninviting.
- Megan (7/5): Good - Easy location, bed was comfy. I was told I would have the code to the room at 11am, but due to a past tenant messing up the plumbing, didn't get this until an hour before check in. Plus, I had no communication for this, only when prompting booking.com did I receive any notice of what is happening, 4 hours after I was meant to receive the code.
There was someone arguing with booking.com about a refund for their room very loudly and keeping other tenants awake.
The shower was ridiculously hot and couldn't be turned down.
Plus, the lock to get into the room took about 20 minutes to actually get in because it seemed a past tenant had turned the handle and broke it.
- Natalie (8/5): Very good - Kitchenette, extra facilities, cooker, washer etc Some elements like the sofa need upgrading and paintwork is tired
- Jean-gil (7/5): Good - Great location! Very convenient
- Steve (1/5): Cosy is the word - The location The whole place needs updating, paint chipped everywhere, bathroom way too small, windows dirty, carpet dirty, stain on the sofa, flying bugs everywhere. Don't mind paying decent prices but expect cleanliness.
- Momi (6/5): It’s ok for one night sleep - Location Old sheets, the shower was extremely hot and no way to have a normal shower .
- Ezra (7/5): Great location - Great location for a gig. Heating was on which was very much appreciated as outside was freezing The electric locks took a bit of getting used to
- Salvador (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leonardo (5/5): Basic and cheap. Smart lock was a pain. - Cheap, decent position. The smart lock was a PAIN. It sounds like it’s a good way to access the structure but it was not functioning properly, and I kept getting locked out and having to wait few minutes for it to reset. This happened few times, which is quite annoying. The room was ok-ish (extremely basic, missing essentials like shower gel) but it’s in a good position.
- Sarah (3/5): Poor - The property is in Upper Street so could not be better situated if you want all the action of Angel. This is a budget standard property & was not what I expected given the ratings. If you are after basic accommodation in this area, this is what you will get.
