• Martin (10/5): Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Las Medulas - Das kleine Hotel ist ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der spektakulären römischen Goldminen von Las Medulas (mit dem Auto 15 Minuten entfernt). Das alte Gebäude wurde liebevoll restauriert, Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr gut und die Besitzer waren ganz besonders freundlich. Es gibt nichts zu kritisieren.

• Michaela (10/5): - Nos alojamos en La Solana del Abuelo Andrés y la experiencia ha sido realmente muy buena. Destaca especialmente su increíble arquitectura, con muchísimo encanto y cuidada al detalle. Los dueños son encantadores, con una amabilidad que hace que te sientas como en casa desde el primer momento. Además, la comida es muy buena y las habitaciones son bonitas y acogedoras. Como punto a mejorar, la sincronización/aislamiento entre habitaciones no es la mejor, y la mampara de la ducha podría ser más práctica. Aun así, la experiencia global ha sido muy positiva. La habitación amplia cama grande y el baño muy bien. Todo limpio y buen trato. En el baño faltaba algún detalle sin importancia. Y el desayuno muy bien excepto el tomate de la tostada y se echa de menos alguna leche vegetal.

Las comidas caseras y con productos propios de calidad. Lo mejor de todo los anfitriones que te hacen sentir como en casa. Muy recomendable. Un abrazo!

Helaas was er in de avond geen avond eten, omdat de eigenaren er niet waren. Dus zelf een boterham meenemen, want in het dorpje is niks De kamer was een beetje klein. Helaas hadden we een twee persoonsbed, was ook niet al te groot. Beter twee bedden reserveren

• Martin (10/5): Schönes Landhotel am Rande der Medulas - Schönes, kleines Landhotel, das Restaurant war in einer alten Weinpresse untergebracht, unser Zimmer hatte einen schönen Balkon mit Blick auf die Landschaft. Alles sehr originell und liebevoll gestaltet. Die Besitzer waren sehr nett, die frisch zubereiteten Speisen am Abend ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
• Peter (10/5): Wunderschön renoviertes Bauernhaus in der Nähe der Médulas - Das alte Haus wurde sorgfältig und authentisch renoviert und eingerichtet. Es ist wirklich sehr gut gelungen, das Bestehende mit modernen Elementen zu ergänzen und das ganze Haus wirkt sehr einladend und harmonisch. Auf Anmeldung kann dort auch am Abend gegessen werden. Im Dorf selber gibt es kein Restaurant, aber in der Umgebung. Die Besitzerin und ihr Ehemann sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Im Badezimmer könnte es ein paar Haken und Ablagemöglichkeiten mehr geben (wie in vielen Hotel-Badezimmern). Schön wäre auch ein paar bequeme (Liege)stühle zum draussen sitzen. Wenn man auf dem Land wohnt, sitzt man auch gerne draussen, um die Ruhe zu geniessen.. Das ist aber jammern auf hohem Niveau, ansonsten ist das Haus wirklich sehr empfehlenswert und die Preis/Leistung top.

Very quiet for those seeking some solitude It is very isolated and food options are very limited. We were lucky to have the company of another couple but you could find the place to yourself. Be sure to reserve meal option in advance
• Phyllida (8/5): A fascinating building, beautifully restored by its enterprising owners. - This is a fascinating building in the heart of an agricultural community and has been restored to a very high standard by a welcoming couple. The emphasis here is on simple, home grown, home made food. There is fresh fruit for breakfast and our modest evening meals were tortilla, padron peppers, goats cheese salad, tomatoes etc. The is no menu. David just made a suggestion and we nodded! This is an observation, not a criticism! There are tables and chairs along the front of the house if you want to be outside but it's a bit like sitting in the driveway of a house. There is no garden as such.

• Sjaak (9/5): Superb - Cute remote and well built hotel, only 10 minutes away from Las Médulas. Hosts were very kind! Even though we didnt speak each others language they were very patient and willingly to learn us some spanish and tried to accommodate our needs. Had a lovely spanish dinner with homemade wine. A wonderful place to truely experience a little of the spanish country side! Will surely visist again if in the area.

Quiet, excellent home made wine (!!) Location is good to visit Los Medulas a short distance away. Safe parking for bikes. Nothing. If you have dietary requests give advance warning as no local shops!!
