Guest Reviews
- Rod (8/5): Very small but cozy and comfortable for a 1 person short stay. - Very cozy place. Ideal for 1 person just seeking somewhere to sleep for a weekend, probably too small for a couple or a longer stay. Well provisioned and the main house was empty so no noise issues there. No advice about the kitchen appliances being located out the back which would have been useful. I didn't really need them and didn't even notice them until I'd been there a while and went out the back.
- Rex (6/5): Good but could have been better. - The location was good and the provisions supplied adequate and added convenience. Place was a bit cramped and lacked privacy from adjoining part of the property which was let separately. TV was not set up for ease of use which was annoying as we are not very tech savvy.
- John (3/5): Good location - Only part of a continental breakfast was available. You had to get your own bread and jam. Cereal, milk, butter and tea and coffee were available. The toaster and jug were both outside under a sheet. The location was good for or purposes. The room was clean and had all the facilities you needed if you could find them. There was none to check you in and to show you where things were. Our main concern was the three big steps up to the bathroom and Laundry. The apartment is advertised as wholly on the ground floor. There was no lounge room. It was just a bed sitter fitted into a garage at the end of the house
- Janine (5/5): Passable - The location was great, close to town and facilities The tiny home was tiny, with most of the bedroom being taken up by a built in wardrobe really. The bathroom/ toilet/laundry/kitchen space was on another level ( 3 steps). In order to cook anything we had to go out the back onto a patio, as there simply wasn't room for food preparation, and working with food right next to a toilet is certainly not ideal.
The tiny home was actually a garage that had been renovated for accommodation purposes. The problem being the tiny home was attached to the main house, which was also rented out. The only thing that separated the 2 dwellings was a sliding door ( that had been sealed up). Unfortunately the sliding door was part of the lounge room of the house, so the tenant's noise, talking we could hear quite loudly in the tiny house. We had an issue with noise from the tenants the first night we were there . The owner was easily contactable and very helpful in dealing with this issue, and spoke to the tenants about the noise levels, so it was much better night 2.
Had I known the tiny house was attached to the main house and that it would be so noisy, I really wouldn't have booked it. It was difficult to watch TV or sleep at times due to the noise.
It was reasonably inexpensive, but a quiet space when on holidays is appreciated.
- Elle (8/5): Overall a great place to stay. -
- S.budden (6/5): Overnight stay. - Location to town centre, good AC & easy to locate. Contact with host & check was great. YouTube & netflix on TV was nice to have. Dust was visible in places & the place i feel could have been cleaner. Some wine glasses would have been good to have available.
