• Wilma (10/5): Large house good for a group - The size of the house suited our family group with a big dining table and 5 bedrooms all on the ground floor. Reasonable heating options on a cold weekend. The location was perfect, close to main street shops, park and playground. Mezzanine up spiral stairs was just a storage area, which we blocked off as we had young children in our group.

• John F (9/5): Lovely property for your group in a great location. - Excellent comfortable accommodation for large groups. This is not a flashy modern property - it offers excellent amenities in an excellent location for a very reasonable price. Great for catchups with the 5 comfortable bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Well resourced with everything you need in the kitchen. The late checkin - 3 pm key pickup is late and only getting 1 key for a 5 bedroom house is stingy. The 10 am checkout is also very early!

• Colin (9/5): We enjoyed our stay in a great house. We rode the rail trail from Queenscliffe to Geelong which was. - Breakfast was not applicable. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable & well equipped. The house was within walking distance to town, restaurants & the beach. Was disappointed that we couldn’t get into the accommodation until 3pm on the day of arrival and had to checkout at 10am on day of departure. A 11am checkout would be appreciated.

• Katherine (10/5): A perfect house for a big group family or friends. - Everything about this house is great, I booked the home for accomodation for my two sisters, myself , my partner and children. We all fit comfortably, I loved the large table that allowed us all to sit and have a meal together and the ability to be able to retreat to bedrooms for much needed time out. The booking and key collection and drop off was easy. Walking distance to the beach, I to go fishing, the ferry and the lovely 360Q restaurant.

• Chi (9/5): We had a delightful stay and would do it again. - Clean, kitchen with ample of crockery and cutlery, various appliance. Comfy beds, heater in each room. 3 Bathrooms! We had 4 showers back to back, and the last shower was cold. It would have been good to know the capacity of the hot water tank. We paid $50 extra per bed, and had to make the bed as well as strip it to original condition at the end of stay.
• Alison (8/5): Great place for a large group staying in Queenscliff - Fabulous location. Handy for ferry, Queenscliff, Blues Train (the reason for our visit). Comfortable living room with plenty of quality sofas. Nice courtyard area. Having 3 bathrooms was great for 7 people. Peaceful even though it's on the main road as there's very little traffic at night once the ferries have stopped. Inside the house it was also quiet...couldn't hear through the walls which is always good. The kitchen had all sorts of useful things available....we didn't use them during our 2 night stay but I appreciate the availability. We would have liked a key safe or more sets of keys...7 of us didn't always go out/return at the same time. As we had paid extra for linen packs, and to have the beds made up, we didn't feel we should have been asked to strip the beds before departure. The pillows weren't very supportive. Though mostly clean and tidy there were crumbs/bits on the kitchen floor, and cobwebs/dust in the corners by the light switches. No worse than my own home but there was a comment about the house having been 'professionally cleaned' so this was a little surprising. There was a little travel hairdryer supplied but it wasn't very powerful. None of these things would stop us returning or recommending Large House on Wharf Street.

Great location near ferry terminal precinct,town centre and eating facilities. Limited parking out front but workable in quiet side street with a 20m walk.

• Ann (9/5): Comfortable large 5 bedroom house - It is a very comfortable large house in a great location. We were 5 friends getting together and we were able to have a bedroom each. It is walking distance to the main street as well as the beaches. It was perfect. I couldn't get the TV to connect to a phone. No big deal.

• Emily (8/5): Great location, walking distance to local attractions, comfortable and thoughtful touches made staying in this property - The house was spacious for the extended family to stay. All amenities were catered for and having so many extra items in the kitchen, such as paper towel, cooking oil, alfoil etc. just made the stay more comfortable. The kids loved to play in the loft. The outside areas were great. Location was amazing, as it was walking distance to town centre and the pier, as well as the Bellarine rail trail - which we hope to come back and do.

The 3 bathroom facilities worked well for us. We would recommend this property for families or a group of friends, it will not disappoint. There was nothing to dislike.

• Lenice (9/5): Great location! Very homey, clean and comfortable property. - The location was excellent. The property has a lovely homey feel and was very clean and comfortable. Cold on arrival however the heaters warmed up the spaces quite quickly. Even though everything was pretty basic, we had everything we needed. I thought it was quite expensive and to then also supply linen and towels takes away from the getaway experience when I have to then go home and wash everything!
