Guest Reviews
- Pradeep (10/5): Great stay on Camino. - Nice house. Bedrooms upstairs.
- Cheng Gek Mary (10/5): - Breakfast and dinner was delicious and the portions were more than enough for the five of us! Very hospitable and generous host. Strongly recommended The electric supply kept tripping and we reset few times , but not a issued
- Nicole (10/5): A wonderful place to stay !!! - This place was amazing ! We booked last minute and got a really good deal. It was super nice to have a whole home. The kitchen was great, the bedrooms great and as for the sumptuous bathroom. What a treat to soak in a lovely warm bath !!! The host was lovely and delivered meals to us. There was also a beer ready upon arrival !! So peaceful and relaxing ! NIL this place is great!
- Francesca (9/5): - Un appartamento molto bello
Stanze grandi, letti comodissimi
- Tom Kult (10/5): Highly recommended! - Great updated older farmhouse. Amazing wood stove/oven in the kitchen that had a nice fire already burning when we arrived. We used up all but one piece of wood and it was great for helping dry our wet clothes and boots. It was comfortably furnished with a giant bathroom and great fixtures. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and coffee, tea, oils and basic spices. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is upstairs and the steps are a bit challenging for us older people.
- Erlinda (8/5): Good place to rest during Camino and they offer dinner and breakfast at your choice plus you can request what you like o - Location and communication Just cold downstairs
- Juliana (10/5): Todo perfecto - Todo muy limpio y usable
- Norie (10/5): It was simply awesome. - It is very clean and the host is above and beyond. None.
- Fco. Javier (8/5): -
- Rebecca (10/5): A wonderful place to stay on the Camino - Perfect location on the Camino to slow down, beautiful and very well looked after property with all we needed. Very clean and comfortable. Our hostess was very welcoming, kind and friendly . She messaged us before we arrived offering dinner with menu options - the food was amazing and very much appreciated. We would definitely visit again and highly recommend staying here. No negatives at all!
- Caoimhe (10/5): Fantastic location, beautiful house, great food! - Fantastic location if you’re on the Camino, you literally pass the front door! Exceptional value. House is very clean and comfortable. Maria is a beautiful soul whose kindness and warmth stands out. Her food was absolutely delicious!

- Derileda (6/5): -
- Jana (9/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - Beautiful old home with comfortable beds, large bathroom and an incredible host!
- Jose (10/5): -
- Beatriz (10/5): Relax y paz - Lugar súper tranquilo.
- Gulnara (10/5): -
- MARI (10/5): Maria is an angel; you should hug her and feel her warm welcome. - It was one of our best stays; you'll truly feel right at home. The house smelled incredibly clean upon entering, and I was amazed at how well-organized it was. Nothing to complain
- Kuang Yin (10/5): -
Muchas gracias .
- Joseph (10/5): - Very comfortable space with all of the amenities you need. Amazing value for the price. María is a superb host who goes above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable, well fed, etc. Muchas gracias for your hospitality!
- Antonio (10/5): Exceptional stay - I loved staying here. It was clean and convenient along the Camino. But the best part was the host. She was amazing and prepared wonderful meals for us. This is a gem of a stay along the camino
- JOSEFINA (10/5): muy cómoda y acogedora, recomendado 1000%. -
- DELIA (10/5): -
- Paul (10/5): -
- Andres (10/5): -
- Sophie (10/5): Cozy, clean, comfy house right on the Camino path. - Everything a weary Pilgrim could need. House is extra clean, fully stocked kitchen, slept like a baby. Since there’s not many places to eat in this town, the hostess actually offers a beautiful dinner spread. This hostess goes above and beyond to make her feel welcome and comfortable. Don’t hesitate, and book it if it’s available.. Nothing to dislike.
- Mariana-Regina (10/5): - Casa da Torre is a fantastic place right on the Camino with a warm and hearthy host!
The property is impeccable and I truly enjoyed the homemade dinner and breakfast by Mary.
What a warm and wonderful woman!
If I could give 100 points I would.
Bonus points: there is a huge bathtub to relax and unwind after the day of walking.
- Linda (10/5): It was so homey it was hard to leave! - Private rooms, luxury bathroom, nice kitchen. The hostess, Maria, so welcoming!! Narrow stairs to bedroom - a little caution is all that’s needed
- Jesus (8/5): -
- Enda (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay! Nothing to do in Peruscallo but get some rest. We had a wonderful home cooked meal w/ wine & beer!
- BrewsterMATraveler (10/5): An unexpected most pleasant stop on the Camino ! - The location is extremely convenient. Maria Jesus, the hostess, was one of the friendliest people we have ever met. She even graciously made us a hearty lunch, a very fancy dinner, and a nice breakfast to get us on our way. We recommend Casa do Torre very highly !!! Everything was perfect, no improvements are needed.
- James (10/5): Great place, perfect host - The property was great — literally right on the Camino — but the real story is Mari, the gracious host. She treats you like old friends. Made a very nice dinner for us vWe loved our stay. No laundry or place to dry clothes (but we didn’t ask).
- Shaghayegh (10/5): - A lovely and cozy home with a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend trying the mom’s cooking, her paella was the best we’ve ever had!
- joaqu%EDn%20calvo (10/5): - L,excelent relació. Qualitat-preu

- Vivienne (10/5): Camino - A delightful property right on the camino where Maria made us so welcome. The best sangria we have tasted and an exceptional seafood paella. We were sent on our way the following day with a great breakfast and lots of hugs. Thank you for a great stay.
- Elke (8/5): - Exceptional food and generous pottion. Bog room but upstairs. Maria offered to carry lugguge up stairs and down.

- antonio (10/5): - La tranquilidad Estupendo
- Zoltan (10/5): - my best breakfast during el camino!
- Mahbub (9/5): 10/10 recommend for anyone looking to relax a bit - Such a tranquil stay - would recommend to anyone wanting a little peace & comfort during El Camino. The host is absolutely amazing - will get you anything you need. The house is spacious with two large bedrooms and large bathroom. The kitchen is stocked - host leaves you complimentary fruit & croissants. For €15, she’ll cook you a homecooked spanish dinner of seafood paella, pasta, or tortilla. She even gave me some beer & ice cream.
Beds are comfortable, lots of places to dry clothes, super clean. Also right on Camino route. Perfect if you want to walk ~2hrs past Sarria for a peaceful stay. Nothing - absolutely nothing?
- Alice (10/5): We were greeted warmly by the owner, and shown around the whole property. Everything was clean and nice with laundry fac - Delightfully, cute and quaint property with lovely people! There was nothing not to like!
- Tom (10/5): A stay to live in the memory - Maria was a great host, so welcoming. She prepared a paella which was exceptional and breakfast of jamon and tomate tostados, fresh orange and coffee next morning. She also kindly put our hand washing in the dryer which was great. The casa is great especially the big bath which was welcome on the Camino. Its a really quiet rural spot but right on the camino. Overall a great stay with some very happy memories from only one night that will remain Nothing to dislike
- Ian (10/5): A Gem of a Property Right on the Camino Route - Maria is the perfect host. On our arrival she came over with a bowl of fruit and took our order for supper & breakfast. We had the seafood paella…most delicious. We had the whole property to ourselves. The kitchen & living room is downstairs and bedrooms & bathroom is upstairs. The place is clean & immaculate. For those doing the Camino (like us), the property’s front door opens right onto the route. I would highly recommend this property. There are no dislikes. Enjoy!
- Sue (9/5): Superb - Quiet and peaceful with beautiful view over the valley, plus Mari cooked us a delicious vegetarian paella. Dated furnishings
- Kathleen (10/5): It will be hard to find another place so delightful. - The owner, Mari, was very welcoming and accommodating. The house is lovely and very comfortable. There are no restaurants nearby so she offers to cook lunch, dinner and/or breakfast at a reasonable rate. We had a seafood paella that was out of this world. Her smile lights the world and warmed our hearts! Nothing
- Dianne (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful clean and spacious
- Samantha (10/5): Superb! - Fantastic well equipped & surprisingly spacious two bed cottage directly on the Camino. The host Maria was delightful - super friendly & communicative & she made us a wonderful paella for dinner (highly recommended!). She’d left fruit, beers and milk for us to enjoy, and big fluffy towels (there’s a corner bath!). We loved how peaceful the village was in the afternoon & when we set off early the next morning we were well ahead of the crowds. The perfect place to stay! Nothing
- Lynn (10/5): Best hotess ever! - Our hotess, Mari, was wonderful. She treated us like we were the best guests she had ever had stay. The home is located in a little farm village & was very quiet. We sat on a bench in front of the house & watched the pilgrims go by in the afternoon
Mari fixed us a lovely paella dinner & shopped for wine & beer for us. We loved our stay!!! Nothing.
- Hilary (10/5): Brilliant place to stay would highly recommend it. - Very friendly host who made us dinner and breakfast. Fabulous WiFi. Very comfortable house, immaculately clean and right on the Camino. Brilliant stay. Nothing.
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional - Our host, Maria was exceptional. She made sure everything was perfect for our stay. She also cooked a wonderful dinner and provided us with a good breakfast to begin our day. Lovely home!
- Marco (9/5): Superb -
- Natalia (10/5): Perfect 🌸 - Huge apartment, perfect bedrooms! It had everything for perfect stay ❤️ wish I would stay longer
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (10/5): We loved staying here - Everything. The property was fabulous. Very spacious, very clean and just perfect. The host cooked us an amazing meal, paella and bolognesa and we also had a lovely breakfast. Nothing
- Paula (10/5): Wonderful. - Everything was just perfect. The owners were very nice and kind with us. The house was so warm and comfy.
If we go back to same area, we will repeat our stay in the house. Anything. Everything was just perfect. The owners came to see if we were ok or if we needed anything.
The kitchen, bathroom, rooms, all just perfect and cozy.
- Kimberli (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fanny (10/5): Exceptional - is in the Camino Way, it easy to find out. Full Furnished Apartment, very cozy, and very nice host. Host is living beside the apartment. Host provide bread, coke, beer for us.
The luggage service Pilbao, deliver at our room upstairs and pickup the luggage. None
- Kameron (10/5): Great countryside gem right on the Camino between Sarria and Portomarin!! - We had the entire two bedroom house for ourselves. The wood stove is the best thing - it warmed up the kitchen area on a cold and rainy day! Very comfortable. Maria also made dinner with Paella and breakfast for us. Her attention to details was impressive - brought drinks, fruits, etc. with all the food. Very nice house and a quiet day. The best thing is that it's in between Sarria and Portomarin. The next day when we continued our Camino walk, there was hardly anybody on the trail with us (unlike the day from Sarria - it was so crowded)! Great Stay in the country side. The shower by the tub took a little bit to figure out. Other than that, everything's excellent!!!
- Jessey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jie (10/5): Good choice - location, parking, facilities, bedrooms, bathroom, everything is perfect Rien
- Duane (4/5): Uncomfortable stay with unexpected other guests - The location was perfect, right on the Camino de Santiago and the best option for a stay between Sarria and Portomarin. The host also provided an optional/extra dinner on request, which was delicious and very much appreciated given the lack of places to eat in the village. I booked a "Two-bedroom House" which gave the impression that I'd have the entire place to myself. That's not the case. When I arrived I discovered that there was a couple that was also staying there. It was very confusing and uncomfortable, especially as nothing had been communicated to me with regard to this. This also meant that I had to share a bathroom, toilet, etc. The bathtub didn't have a shower curtain so I totally skipped showering. Luckily I hadn't walked far from Sarria that day.
- Kate (10/5): Perfect stay on th Camino with a fabulous dinner - Such a cosy house with a great wood fire oven to heat the house. The Paella made by the host was amazing. She offered a selection of dinners at an additional cost - we chose the paella and it was the best we have had. Nothing
- Leanne (9/5): Superb -
- Mary (10/5): Best stay on the Camino!!!! - Great location! Right on the Camino. María, the hostess, was warm and welcoming. She prepared a generous meal of bolognese and carbonara pasta, bread and wine. The house was stocked with Coke Zero, Fanta, beer and water. Also coffee, bread, cakes and fruit for breakfast. The bedrooms cozy. Bathroom was fun with pink sinks, tub, bidet, and toilet. All necessities were there. Entire house was immaculate. Best stay on the Camino! Thank you Maria!❤️❤️ Nothing!
- Hannah (9/5): A heavenly stay and true gem of the Camino! - This was one of my favourite stays on the entire camino - it was truly heavenly. Maria was so warm and welcoming, the house was spacious, comfortable (wonderful beds and fluffy towels) and charmingly decorated with thoughtful touches like milk, bread and proper ground coffee!!! Maria’s paella was out of this world and she even generously offered us fresh eggs for breakfast. Plus she did the most amazing job of our laundry, everything was washed with so much care and her washing powder smelt divine. If you fancy some R&R after 6 weeks of dormitories, this is your oasis bursting with Camino spirit. Literally nothing.
- Sinead (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hooi (10/5): A treasure of a home to stay in! - our host has a lovely personality, is warm, thoughtful and caring. it’s a charming house with sensible furniture downstairs and beautiful furniture and furnishings in the bedrooms. loved the detailed parquet in the bedroom. also, it’s right on the Camino path and in the middle of a farm. we had fellow Camino travellers and cows walking by every now and then. our host’s paella, tortilla and ham and chorizo were excellent too! nil
- Philip (10/5): Amazing nights accommodation in an incredible Homely home. - The place was beautiful, very homely and incredibly comfortable. It had everything we needed for an amazing nights stay. We even had some homemade seafood Paella, tortilla and some jamón/chorizo for our dinner. All supplied by the Host Mari. It was soooooo delicious and made for an amazing bonus to our stay. Their communication was fast and responsive, and even conversing with Mari, even though a bit challenging, was fun, friendly and spirited. I would highly recommend Casa da Torre for anyone looking for a great nights stay along the Camino de France towards Santiago de Compostela. N/A There is nothing to NOT like about Casa da Torre at all!!! It is an amazing place to stay!!!
- Krg (8/5): Very good -

- Lacra (8/5): Very good -
- Tsz (9/5): Superb -
- Goddard (9/5): Perfect for a stop over on the Camino de Santiago. - We really enjoyed the house and everything was provided that we needed. The hosts had left some beers and soft drinks in the fridge for us - which was a nice surprise. When we had difficulty with the stove, the host came around to assist us. A very warm and friendly place.
