• Dustin (10/5): - The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and the shower was great 👍 👌 the lounge was super comfy it is quite at night and is close to everything for a awesome night out definitely will stay again 👌😊 The coffee machine in the lobby didn't have any cups other then that everything else was great

Cleaners tried to give me there personal unit which was full of there belongings (clothes etc) Took 2 hours to get in contact and have someone provide me with an update. Have never had this happen on booking before and it was absolutely disgusting to try and offer a room full of someone's personal belongings.
• Nadine (9/5): - Easy to check in, undercover parking was easy. The apartment was spacious and it had a bath tub. Wish we had longer to enjoy the facilities. The apartment could easily house a queen or king bed for extra comfort.

• Linda J (7/5): An above Average and Relaxing Stay - The easy access to the keys was good. The bed was very comfortable. The pool was big and luxurious, and the spa was good. I liked the views from the pool area. I missed the personal touch of checking in at the reception and speaking with a person. I didn't like the shower in the bath and the bath was too small and it was hard to switch the shower over to the bath and the shampoo dispenser was empty. Someone threw up just outside the our door and it was never cleaned. I wasn't able to see the fireworks from my room and as the the pool door was locked i could only view the fireworks through the glass of the door.

• Joslin (9/5): Lovely little unit - The location and such a lovely tidy little apartment. Perfect to use as a base for the sport carnival we were attending. Would like the massive tennis court lights blocked out from the unit. I understand the need for security but the unit was quite bright as the blinds did not stop the outside lights from waking us up.

• Laura (6/5): - Good location and nice host The room was very outdated, didn’t feel like it was cleaned properly and I think for the amount we paid we should have been given enough toilet paper, and basic shampoo and conditioner to last us through our stay instead of having to go out and buy our own if we ran out. I later found it was more expensive than what the hotel charges anyway as it was privately owned.

• Colleen (6/5): Nice resort, don’t book unit 25! - Great location, easy walk to shopping centre and food outlets. Safe secure parking with designated spot protected by bollard. This unit was privately owned so reception staff would not help with any issues we had which was disappointing… on arrival we found the bath had a dark greasy tidemark of scum which was disgusting! Booking.com connected us with the owner who did not get back to us as he promised….. our much anticipated Gold Coast holiday began with cleaning …. The air conditioner played up… and we could not access any streaming services as they were all ‘private’ settings. Cabinetry in Unit 25 was pretty old and damaged… again not up to the standards we expected in a nice resort….(see photos) I would never book another privately owned unit again through Booking.Com….

It was like a motel with a car park right outside the windowed doors. So there was no privacy unless the black out curtains were drawn - which then felt claustrophobic. There should be net curtains for privacy, yet to still let light in the room.

Access was easy with clear instructions. The resort also has a good range of facilities. The only thing I could not find was a cloth to wash the dishes and wipe the kitchen bench.

Can’t use Netflix even though we already follow the instruction that have been given at the book. Internet also a bit slow .

• Mandeep (8/5): Outdated resort overall, prime location. - The bedroom and lounge area were cute and updated. Location was convenient with a 10 minute walk to surfers paradise. Underground secure car park provided. The rest of the accom I.e bathroom and kitchen were outdated and the furniture rotting. Room had a funky smell when the sliding doors were closed the whole day so every time we returned we would open the doors wide open for a fresher smell. The common areas were not cleaned on a regular basis as cockroach was sitting in the hallway for over 24 hours. The swimming pool/spa was closed so was unable to use the facility.

The pillows supplied were GROTTY - STAINED YELLOW MARKS WHEN I REMOVED THE PILLOW CASE TO WASH so yuk disgusting not clean The place looked tired . FOR EXAMPLE KITCHEN CABINETS WERE PEELING, STOVE CRACKED IN CORNER JUST TO MENTION the last thing you want to experience when on holidays Curtains in bedroom not closing properly, missing hooks on edge WHILE THEY WERE BLOCK OUT CURTAIN THE POINT I AM MAKING IS THAT COULDNT BE DRAWN 100% BECAUSE HOOKS ON ONE EDGE WERE MISSING Tables and chairs looked cheap and were not sturdy lacking comfort due to no seat padding Back of couch was sagging - no support The adjoining walls ARE THIN - I WAS WOKEN UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT FROM NOISES GOING ON IN THE ADJACENT /AJOINING ROOM - AND THAT WAS NOT APPRECIATED........ Kitchen cabinets were old and looked they were over used .. peeling on edges - not great visually. SEE ATTACHED PHOTO Toilets did not flush properly - waste of water having to flush several times Internet lagged - NO netflix - youtube YES No tissue box supplied No extra blankets WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN !!!!!!!!!

• Jorja (7/5): Overal, an adequate stay, it was enough for us. Could be improved with a few minor changes. Not too bad for the price. - Great location, comfy bed, clean, wifi and tv was great! Not sure if I’m being a little nit picky but We felt like we didn’t quite have everything we needed. Such as not enough toilet paper, the hand soap was basically empty so we had to buy a new one to replace it. No bbq utensils so had to buy those also to use the facilities. This was a little frustrating as by buying these things we were adding them to the apartment for guests after us to continue to use, ultimately paying extra for our stay to improve the apartment for the owner and their other guests after us. Toilet didn’t flush too well. Small things like not having a rack to dry dishes or anywhere to dry clothes that we washed. (There is a dryer but we find they shrink our clothes so we prefer not to use them) We also had the fire alarm go off at night/in the middle of the night on multiple occasions which were false alarms which was quite frustrating as well.

• BradB777 (8/5): Tired but represents value for budget conscious traveller - The location of this hotel is brilliant just a short walk (maybe three blocks) to the beach and a couple more to the Surfers Paradise strip. The hotel itself is tired but the room was clean and well equipped with kitchen, laundry and bedroom. The couch was old and smelt however. I covered it with a spare towel. Ceiling fan in bedroom was broken though two air con units made up for it I suppose ( though I prefer to sleep with a fan than air con). Balcony had nice canal views and the pool area was great with spa and water feature though I think you’d struggle to get a sunlounge in peak periods. Overall, very tired and in need of some renovations but it represents good value for the price. You’re not paying much so don’t expect too much and you’ll be happy.

Would have been nice if the apartment had tennis rackets so that we would use the tennis courts. Didn’t have everything you needed in order to do your own cooking, we were missing a dish towel for the kitchen, dish washer pods. There was only enough laundry detergent for one load. Would have been nice to have extra in case of a second load. Quite expensive for the amenities provided. Stains on the carpet and couch.

The apartment which was booked for 3 adults was not provided with linen, pillows or towels for the third adult when contacting the host no reply and nothing had been done about it which is really sad and annoying. I wouldn't recommend the airbnb which is seperate from the rest of the Paradise Island Resort which is wonderful. Staff is super helpful and friendly and gave me extra linen and towels to make my stay great.

Don't expect much. The splash back needed wiping down from someone's coffee splashes. Need to improve the coffee and milk options. The kitchen drawers were all scratched. Such a shame because it is in an ideal spot. Pool area is absolutely beautiful

There were no sheets on the sofa bed and it was very uncomfortable anyway. So was forced to share a bed with my dad with the pillow in the middle. However the main bed was very comfortable and big enough to share.

It's an older building with rooms that are a bit outdated BUT, for the price it is completely fine. Our room was quite spacious as well. The pool area looked pretty nice and enticing. Walking distance into Cavil Ave, so many shops and dining options nearby. I'd recommend if you're on a bit of a budget and not too bothered about having a very modern room.

• Traveler11902775165 (2/5): Filthy. Never again. - We had a late check in at midnight. When we walked into our room, we were greeted with the smell of sewerage from the blocked toilet so we had to be disturbed within the first 10 mins of being at the island resort because management had to come and unblock it. Straight away you could see that this room had not been cleaned at all for god knows how long. I can't believe what places like this get away with. There are no words that can describe the filth we paid to stay in. Sure it's easy to say we would just leave and go elsewhere, but it's midnight and I've just finished a 12 hr shift and then drove a couple hrs to get to this hell hole so I could make the most of the 2 days I had off work. I'm not sure if this review will get put up or approval, but this so called "Paradise Resort" is a hole in hell. Absolutely disgusting. The first thing I do know is check every single room I stay in before I unpack. I take photos if it's filthy and name and shame, so if this post does not get approved, you can bet it will be posted on Facebook anyway. People like this are to well protected and get away with ripping people off.

The couch and floor rug were very badly stained - really need to be thoroughly steam cleaned or replaced. One privacy blind was missing and one of the block out blinds kept breaking on us and my husband had to fix it several times. The original photos showed a balcony view over the river however this room was located on the ground floor overlooking the reception carpark so we were very disappointed as we gave up another booking overlooking the ocean for this resort. Its also not serviced. Sadly wouldnt book here again.

• Khama (9/5): Best honeymoon in paradise island resort - Me and my wife were there for our honeymoon, we loved the room and resort itself, room was tidy and clean, bed comfortable and pool and gym was used everyday and very handy to enjoy. Location was very convenient easy to walk to all of the malls and cafes and restaurants. Car park was extremely helpful for our rental car. The only thing that was a surprise was that the clothes dryer in the room wasn't working but that was a minor thing and didn't effect or ruin our time there 😊

There is no good in this hotel our room Was beyond dated furniture paying over $100 a night you expect a clean room This room Was far from it . Exposed nails on the floor. Dirty carpet and bed. Mould in kettle and fridge This place needs to be closed down and re done. Also I think it’s totally ridiculous that they think 2 towels for two people staying for 5 days is enough. I had to pay $3 extra for more towels . Do not stay here! This hotel almost ruined our holiday. Also we did complain about the room and got given another room Which wasn’t much better again mould in fridge and kettle Bathroom fan not working. Toliet didn’t flush properly And we both came home with bed bug bites
