Guest Reviews
- Sylvia (7/5): Pleasant - The location was pleasant, facilities were clean, rooms, and the bed were very comfortable. I was only advised about a $300 bond when I confirmed my booking, I received the money back; however, it would have been good to know beforehand.
The driveway was and is precarious for a small car, it would be good to know this, as it was difficult to navigate in the dark.
Rather than put post-it notes on many cupboards, perhaps lock items up so that visitors don't feel unwelcome.
- Htet Hlyan (9/5): Clean and homely - Clean and neat The drive way to get there

- Kaye (10/5): Wonderful stay!! With property management going over and above to return clothes we'd left at the cottage to us 🙏🏻 - Lovely little quaint cottage
Very quite, comfortable place with all that you need The entrance to the cottage was a little hard to locate! We had directions from the property, but I think it would have been better if we could see what was written on the blue sign at the Entrance from the video

- Sam (3/5): They ask for a $300 deposit - refer to positives and negatives. - The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The TV was working, despite reviews stating otherwise. The location is actually great - you come straight off the highway into the drive and it is very isolated and peaceful with beautiful birdsong. The bed was also extremely comfortable and the pillows were good too. And decent cooking facilities - very blunt knives though!
However, due to all the negatives we won't be staying again. The main issue with our stay was the $300 deposit they ask for before you check in meaning our whole stay we were extremely worried that if we broke or touched absolutely anything, they would charge us - reinforced by the multiple notes in each room saying 'don't touch this' or 'make sure not to stain this!'. This made the stay a lot less relaxing than we had hoped for.
Alongside this, the amenities and facilities were absolutely bare minimum - very poor quality towels that were covered in fibres that covered us in fluff when drying ourselves which meant we felt dirty after showering, one coffee pod each a day, no bin liners in the bins etc.
They did have a very comfortable bed in the bedroom but there is no decoration at all inside, it is a white box making it feel less homely and the window in the bedroom is boarded up so hardly any natural light.
Overall, we were getting away from the city to have a peaceful and relaxing time, wanting to spend most of our time at the cottage but the environment created inside was one that made us want to escape instead which was disappointing.

- Christopher (4/5): Too many rules you may be charged for breaking. - The property itself is fine, enough for what we required from our stay, it was clean and well maintained. The access road is not well maintained, dirt track with lots of holes and big rocks which is difficult for smaller cars.
Honestly the worst part was the contact from the hosts. In every room there are multiple signs of things “not to touch or do” as well as being emailed a big list of rules the day before arrival.
There is also no mention of a security deposit being required on the booking page, you only receive that message after booking, you should really make people aware of the $300 deposit prior to booking as I probably would have booked elsewhere had I known, but as I booked the non refundable stay, had no choice but to pay.
The TV also did not work during our stay, and while we managed to entertain ourselves this would be a bigger deal if we had stayed longer. I have seen mention of this issue in other people’s comments and it is frustrating they have not addressed these concerns from their guests.
We also made them aware that the keypad battery for the door required changing once we arrived and it began to alarm to let us know. They responded and promised to come change the battery the next day, which did not happen. One of the hidden rules is that if they are required to come help you gain access to the property with keys, they charge $100 for assistance so we wished to avoid this, but as I mentioned nobody came to change the battery during the stay.
All in all it felt like with the list of rules and associated charges for breaking them that they were looking to take money from the $300 deposit they sprung upon us after booking. And while the property itself is nice and well maintained, this severely ruined our experience during our stay.
- Daniella (8/5): - View was lovely Unable to watch the television due to missing HDMI cable. Doors on the windows blocked out in the master bedroom. Many notes around of don’t touch this made it feel less relaxed
- Hanh (8/5): Great! - Great location and clean, except the Tv didn’t work but it was we had quality time chatting instead Tv didn’t work for us

- Heike (5/5): We won’t be back - The cottage was comfortable enough with adequate facilities. To get to the property one had to turn off the highway directly into a dirt access road with lots of potholes- one wouldn’t want to do that fir the first time in the dark. It is impossible to get there on foot or go for a stroll and the proximity to the highway makes is very noisy.
The communication with the managing agency made us feel like naughty teenagers with endless lists of what not to do which continued in the cottage with signs everywhere.
Poor value.
- Colliss (8/5): - The view as great. Easy walk to leura centre. The TV did not scan in any channels...weak signal. Could not start the fireplace? Cleanliness is an issue. Otherwise the stay was lovely
- Isabella (9/5): Was a great location and stay, friendly staff - - very central location
- Kym (5/5): I wouldn’t stay there again nor would I recommend it because I don’t believe I was given enough supp - The fire when we finally worked out how to use it Couldn’t work the tv. I contacted the email suggested & they were going to send out someone to check it however they did not contact me nor could we work the tv. Very unsatisfactory
The information re finding the venue so sent very late. So it was difficult to locate the venue.
- LI WEN (8/5): -
- Juan (6/5): A bit expensive but of course a good place to stay - Is good for a night stay and for a couple, I wish we had more info about how to use the tv but is not a deal breaker! I was lost at the beginning and I called the lady to ask for indication of how to get to the place and she wasn’t clear at all
- Ali (8/5): Very good -
- Maz (5/5): Passable - Located quietness Fridge hadn't been cleaned from previous people.
Main bed a little hard. But not an issue.
Under floor bathroom heating didn't work.
Fire place didn't work. But aircon anyway was nice.
- Sheree (10/5): Exceptional -
- Camila (6/5): Pleasant - The mugs and cupboard doors were very dirty, the grass was very tall and the yard looked unkempt. There was no heater in the rooms. The dishcloth was dirty and smelled. And there was very poor signage to access the place.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aimee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Great views from the deck. A comfortable clean cottage. Highway noise in the main bedroom.
- Ferreira (6/5): Pleasant - Comfortable stay, all the facilities one could need Could be cleaned/kept a fair bit better
- Courtney (7/5): Cute cabin for a lovely stay - Very cute cabin, modern design, with comfy beds. Lovely view from deck. Hosts were very prompt and constantly communicated well with us. The tv needs to be upgraded as could only get 3 or 4 tv channels and unable to stream to tv, found the movie channel hard to use and in Chinese? There is only a two seater lounge for a place that can sleep 3-4, so felt a bit squished. It would be nice if lounge was a 3 seater as there is room for one.
