• Escobar (4/5): I really don't recommend it. - the location is just perfect and the view is incredible. The beach is beautiful, there aren't many people and there aren't many vendors. The apartment is really nice, but for such a high price, one would expect better conditions. Unfortunately, the apartment's condition wasn't the best, especially considering the very high price. The sheets were stained, the door creaked and sounded like it might fall off, and the bathroom window rattled loudly in the wind because it couldn't be closed properly. All the kitchen utensils were dirty; the blender didn't work, nor did the toaster—everything stuck to them, just like it did to the pans. The balcony chairs were about to break, and the electrical outlets looked dangerous. There was also a lamp that made noise and smelled burnt when used. What made us feel most unsafe was the apartment's main door, which was very loose; it practically looked like it could be pushed open and knocked off. Upon arrival, they made us pay 200,000 COP for cleaning service, which was supposedly specified in the reservation (which was true). But after we paid, they updated the reservation and added the cleaning service; I even received a notification that the reservation had been updated. They also charge a 5% processing fee, which is essentially a fee they themselves use, you pay for using their payment platform literally . Furthermore, they tell you that you have to pay in dollars or euros, not Colombian pesos. So, instead of 1,863,865 COP, we ended up paying a total of 2,119,023 COP.
