• Tomas (5/5): It was ok for a solo traveler for an ok price but the place couls have been cleaner, especially the bathroom. I could sm - The location was great. Close to highway and to local whole foods I think the general cleanliness could have been better.
• JanG (5/5): The homestay has potential, but it needs a thorough cleaning, some tidying, and a few replacements. - The host was friendly, and there’s a free coffee machine available for guests. The cat is very sweet, and while the dog is also friendly, it's a bit too excitable for petting. The homestay is located in a quiet residential area, with a good ramen restaurant nearby. Public transport to Santa Monica is available, though—as is often the case in LA—it takes quite a long time. The shared spaces were untidy and not very clean, making them uninviting to use. I don’t mind pets, but it was clear that the hosts were struggling to keep up with the level of cleaning required. The bedroom itself had been cleaned, but the rug was heavily stained and should really be replaced. The bathroom was acceptable. I couldn’t find many of the listed amenities—and to be honest, I wasn’t sure I would have wanted to use them if I had. A water kettle was notably missing. The whole flat clearly has potential; you can see that it was once nicely set up. But it now needs a deep cleaning and proper tidying. Personally, I wouldn’t feel comfortable hosting even close friends in this condition, let alone paying guests.

• Miranda (9/5): I liked this place I would stay again I would just hope they would fix the car pee smell - Room was spacious, bed was comfortable The kitchen was a mess and there was a cat and it smelled like cat pee in the kitchen I’m assuming that’s where the litter box was

They were flexible with a bit later checkout Did not realize I was going to be living there with the owners, & other short term visitors. The walls are quite thin and you can hear everything the people next door do, so I was woken up very early by them.

Easy street parking (no dedicated spot). The room is secure and private. Access to washer/dryer, if needed. Hosts were very kind and friendly. The room is across from the bathroom—which is shared with a couple of other people. Bear in mind, you are staying with a couple who live at the home so they will be cooking dinner and conversing until pretty late in the evening. Might be difficult to access kitchen.

Parking is easy to find. The host provides bottled water and makes sure you have everything you need. The location is quiet, safe, and close to local transport. The pets, two cats and a dog, are well-behaved, friendly, and made my stay more enjoyable😊.

The location is very convenient to the beach, restaurants, shopping and airport. Everything in the house was well kept and looked just like the photos. Clear instructions were provided for parking and finding the place. Lingsen did an amazing job at ensuring our needs were met. He was very responsive and answered every request quickly! Highly recommend his place!
