- Rayner (1/5): Poor agent service - Beautifully appointed No air conditioning! In far north Queensland! You couldn't even leave the windows or sliding doors open as the apartment had no security screens. The agent became strangely difficult to contact once there was a problem. At almost $400 per night, we expected better. Her solution was that she'd refund us, and we could find alternative accommodation! There was nothing available in Townsville those nights as there were large events on.
There was no follow-up apology, no offer of a reduction in the rate, and the cleaner told us she had other poor souls booked in following us without the air conditioning being sorted.
The agent was from Mareeba (400 km away), so there were no actual local "boots on the ground" to troubleshoot.
I found her rude and dismissive.

Lots of little things most other don’t include… very clear instructions for check ins me out… and great location with a bar and restaurant in the facility and the strand right across the road If I’m honest I thought the bed was too soft… but that’s something that’s going to be different for everyone

The host was great with communication and allowed us to store our luggage and have a late checkout . It was much appreciated! Having a separate location for the key collection was not very convenient, especially when you are traveling in a group and not sure of the location. But it didn't diminish the stay was just a surprise.

- Jason (9/5): Relaxing with kids - The location of the property was perfect and the property itself was on point, it had everything we needed and then some. I would definitely look at staying here next time I'm in Townsville. Nothing really to not like. If I had to be picky, the walk to the amazing pool area carrying everything for a BBQ lunch.
- Brooke (10/5): Little piece of heaven - The host is very pleasant, booking.com didn't send us directions on how to get into the property until after 6pm so Selena was a god sent and helped us. It was very frustrating with so many children. (Not the hosts problem though) the rooms are clean, slept like logs, has everything you need and more inside the unit. Very equipped with basic kitchen items you may need. The patio is perfect for a morning coffee before the kids wake up! Close to the main Street- strand and restaurant under building with really good food. The pool was an absolute winner, early morning and night swims, even a paddle pool for the babies. Gym, bbq areas are so clean. Honestly can't love our stay any more even if we tried! Thank you for having us The garbage shoot beside the elevator had maggots and awful odar as you get out on the lift as it's beside it. The elevators are a bit temperamental

- Tania (10/5): Lovely stay, poor host communication. - Excellent location, lovely apartment with great facilities. Walking distance to eating and the Strand. Communication with the host. The emailed instructions for access to the property were incorrect. We were told to refer to the email sent to us through "airBNB" for access, but we booked through "booking.com". I emailed the host more than 24 hours prior to our arrival with a question regarding the location of the property (as the incorrect address had been provided). No-one got back to me prior to our arrival. After driving around and a process of deduction after speaking with a local resident, we worked out where the apartment was.
In addition, when we collected the keys from the lockbox (at another location), there was a 2nd key in the lockbox which we took, assuming it was needed for our access to the accommodation. I promptly got a text within 1.5 hours from the host, asking me to return the extra key promptly to the lockbox. We did this within the hour and sent a text to confirm. There was no acknowledgement of our text following this. It was disappointing that when the host required something, communication was timely, however as a guest with a valid question about accessing an apartment, we were left to figure it out for ourselves.
