Guest Reviews
- Ellisha (8/5): -
- ann (8/5): - Central location, nice big rooms Nothing..it was vary nice..communal kitchen and living area..shared with others
- Mr_Javito (8/5): An excellent place, very good location. - The location was great. It was very near to the Fontana di Trevi, and other landmarks were close too.
The rooms were very spacious and the kitchen was very equipped. The living room was very comfy as well.
Cristopher was very attentive and ready to answer any questions or concerns we had. Thenk you for that! :) The only thing to note here was the breakfast place. It was far away from the apartment. We were in a group and we didn't mind that much as we were wandering around. But it is a thing to consider.
- Guest (8/5): Location, location, location - This was in the right place - The cleaner was an amazing help! - Breakfast was offered at a separate location, but we opted not to take the breakfast as there were alternative options more local than the designated breakfast location. However, there are the facilities to make your own breakfast should you want to in the shared kitchen. This is a shared apartment. I didn't feel that Booking.com illustrated this adequately and therefore it was a surprise to see that each room, or sets of rooms, can and does accommodate other people/families. I had no issue with this situation as we had a family suite that was lockable and secure. I think Booking.com should have illustrated this fact in a clearer, more concise manner, however the other guests were quiet and we all respected each others space.
- Ashleigh (10/5): Amazing stay in a beautiful apartment - Location wow amazing so central and lovely cleaner and staff We loved everything
- Peri (7/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Perfect accomodation - Good amenities and great location. Beds were very comfortable and hosts were very helpful.
- Ziva (3/5): - Not much. The place depressing. The location was too busy and crowded. Breakfast was served 20 min walk from the place. That’s unacceptable.
- Julie (10/5): Great location, clean and roomy - Great location and very clean Unfortunately the included breakfast was not close enough to the hotel to use
- Dorathea (9/5): -
- Jake (8/5): -
- Lana (9/5): -
- Ganimete (10/5): -
- Chiquita (9/5): Staff was very accommodating and helpful when our flight got in early. - It was close to a lot of restaurants and sites.
- Arvelo (10/5): Exceptional - The neighborhood is very close to Fontana Trevy Nothing
- Faraj (5/5): Ok - Location
Spacious Hidden charges
No breakfast as promised
Not very clean
They don’t tell you that you share apartment with other people
Very hidden agenda
- Nina (8/5): Great location - Great location, close to everything food, shopping, trevi fountain, Spanish steps, but it was a bit hard to find, though. Didn't realise it was a shared apartment. A bit small for a family of four
- Roula (10/5): Nice - Host was very pleasant and they helped us when we were leaving with a lot of luggage
- Patricia (10/5): Great few days in Rome at this amazingly located hotel. - The property is located in the heart of the city and easy walking distance from many of the most popular attractions. The owners were very attentive and truly cared about making our experience a good one.
- Nargiza (5/5): Passable -
- Alexandre (10/5): You should choose this place! - Everything was perfect. Cleaning, comfortable, close for Fontana and a lot of places - we did everything walking and when we’re tired we got a bus! Host and family host are very friendly. we loved!
- Drogaris (3/5): Decent location, too hard to navigate slippery steps with luggage. - Decent location hard to find due to poor signage. Had to walk 3 flights of stairs with 5 pieces of luggage. Never got our vouchers for breakfast. Picture is very deceptive. No refrigerator so we could not store any drink or food, could not figure out the coffee maker. Shared living room with 2 other bedrooms.
- Kethryn (8/5): Very good - Great service. I was able to leave my bags for a couple of hours at the place after check out. Complimentary champaign. Cleaning service every day like in a hotel. Noise proof windows. In the heart of the city. Was not aware that the place had 3 independant rooms and we were sharing kitchen and living room. Missing storage space in both room and bathroom (drawers). Not much water pressure in the shower. Breakfast included but had to walk 15 min to a restaurant to get it so we did not go.
- Michelle (10/5): Lovely - Great location. The appartment was wonderful with everything we could ask for. Our host was so lovely and helpful. It is literally around the corner from the Trevi fountain. As it’s a guest house you share the kitchen and main living area with the other 2 rooms. As long as you know this it’s not an issue at all. We didn’t lay eyes on the other guests the whole time we were there.
- Jenny (4/5): Disappointing - Excellent location, staff were very friendly. The free breakfast is at another cafe which is a 20 minute walk. The towels were not replaced daily.
- Jodi (9/5): Wonderful, we would definitely visit again - The apartment was perfect for us traveling with our adult daughter. She had her own bedroom, we had ours and there was a shared bath/common area, including a kitchen. The only negative was the construction that was happening when we arrived. The location is just around the corner from Trevi Fountain. The shower was spacious, with good water pressure, and there was lots of storage/closet space!
- Eglantina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Almoutaz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anita (9/5): Brandon was a great host. The location was great and restaurants in area exceptional. - Didn't go for breakfast..
- Adam (1/5): Think twice before booking - Nothing The false info on the listing.
- Christoph (3/5): Never again - nothing luxury about this room - Location is Great ATTENTION: this is a shared apartment!!!
Only the room is private, one toilet and living room are shared with 2 other rooms! In my view a scam and not clearly described on the booking site. This place is clearly not worth its price.
The included breakfast is NOT in the same place and you need to walk 1.5km (oneway!) to bar savello. If you want breakfast in the room it is 50 EUR for 2 persons.
If your neighbours are noisy, you will hear everything.
There is a restaurant just below the windows of the room, which is very loud until 1130pm.
There was mold in the bathroom (disgusting !)
Never again will I book this place. There are many better places in Rome for the same price
- John (5/5): Passable -
- Kate (4/5): Good location but dirty floors, no hot water, and iffy breakfast– book elsewhere. - Great location, right near Trevi Fountain. Only downside is that the cafe across the street is quite loud and the windows don't keep out any of the sound. They imply that breakfast is "included," but after giving us vouchers for a nearby cafe that didn't accept them (they just told us "no" the first day, and upon pressing, gave us one croissant each the second day) we walked a full mile to the cafe owned by the suite landlords to eat. Once there, the workers also didn't know about the vouchers and had to call around to confirm they were legit. I wouldn't count on breakfast being included if you are booking here– easier to just go to a cafe and pay.
The cleanliness of the place was subpar– the floors were really dirty and stained our socks, and the bedsheets had stains. Also the laundry machine had trash in it from previous guests– q-tips and a bandaid.
There was construction happening in the apartment above, which started at 6am and lasted all day– extremely loud and disruptive, even though we were up early and out most of the day.
All this would have been okay, if not idea, but the biggest issue with our stay was that the hot water stopped working on our first full day there. When we messaged about it, we were told that the owners had "checked" while we were out and the hot water was working in the apartment. When we returned that evening, there was still no hot water, making us feel that they had not actually checked and thought we were just exaggerating. They sent a plumber the following day when we followed up, but ended up needing to buy parts to fix the boiler, leaving us with no hot water for the remaining few days of our stay.
I also want to make one more clarification, which may have been my fault not understanding when I booked– if you are booking one of these rooms, it's possible that you may be in the suite with another family or couple in the other room. We thought that the full suite would be ours, but there are separate rooms within it, and you may therefore be sharing the bathrooms, common room, kitchen, etc with strangers.
- Lorena (2/5): Disappointed - Lots of misleading information on the add. It advertises as a suite with a certain square footage. Although that area includes the share areas. It is more like a room you rent in an apartment. I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews before booking. Even though the unit seems to have been recently remodel there was participate covering the roof and a very bad smell coming from the bathroom, there was definitely mildew as well. Also the only views from the windows was dark ally, that can’t be consider as city view.
The kitchen that was part of the common area was also very messy and not that clean. The washer is part of the common areas as well and there was nowhere to hang clothes to dry.
The breakfast option is actually at a cafe near by and not at the unit either.
Overall very disappointing to the point I had to checkout earlier.
- Michael (10/5): We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the property. - The location is the best that we could think about. The most important targets to visit in Rome are in walking distance.
Fontana di Trevi is just 100 meter or less from the property.
Italian breakfast was in the near by cafe just 80 meters from the property.
The host was extremely friendly and helpful.
- Junil (1/5): Hard to call it a hotel - good place in the center of Rome It was not a hotel, but more like an apartment. No lobby, no staff near by. Looks like the room is not fully constructed. The ceil is uncovered. The water in the bathroom sink wouldn't drain and the bathroom was very cramped. The only advantage was that it was close to the Trevi Fountain and located in the heart of Rome.
- Margaret (10/5): Great location lovely partner will definitely return. - Great location right next to Trevi fountain and restaurants etc We did not have any warm water during our stay
- Dkt (8/5): Perfect location, - Wonderful location- convenient to many sires and food and drink. The bedroom arrangement is unusual. The unit has 3 bedrooms rented individually with 2 having private bathrooms. The living room and kitchen are shared by whoever is renting a bedroom. All the bedrooms are quite large and roomy and there is plenty of privacy. It is a walk-up - no elevator- so be prepared to carry your bags and climb stairs. The proprietor was very helpful- their airport pick up is worth it.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ali (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nafees (10/5): Excellent place, great people - Excellent location, great staff. Nothing; no lift but it did not matter to us.
- Lizette (10/5): Exceptional - The location is perfect. So quiet even though it is so close to Trevi. There is no lift which makes luggage an issue
- Atilla (7/5): Good - Nice location, kind staff We had to share the apartment with another couple, which is not good for such a price.
- Miray (9/5): Very good location, good stuff, nice rooms - Stuff is very helpful, the location is great, very silent although it’s 100m away from Trevi Fountain. We booked as family suit, but kitchen was shared with another room. Maybe I didn’t check carefully on the website, nevertheless we didn’t have any problems. The stuff was very helpful and communicative, available via whatsapp whenever we need. We also took transfer back and forth, it was also comfortable and driver was a gentleman.
- Viphavanh (10/5): Overall a very pleasant stay. - Beautiful building in the heart of Rome. Very convenient location for walking and exploring the city. The host was very accommodating and very helpful in all aspect. We really appreciate his prompt response to our questions and concerns. Very helpful in assisting us with transportation. We did not realized that we would be sharing the apartment with another traveler. Made it a little awkward.
- Matt (7/5): A busy Roma stay in a great location for exploring the city. Good for family. - Location, accessibility, large rooms, good facilities, and very friendly owners. Shared space, noise from outside (cant be avoided)
- Sebastian (8/5): Very good - Location, staff friendliness, confort
- Natashya (10/5): Exceptional - The location and how roomy the apartment was. It was so stylish and beautiful. The only downside to the property was it a shared place. The lounge / reception room and kitchen shared with another family. Beautiful family and lovely people just didn't think we booked a shared space.
- David (8/5): Worked out well for our short stay. Plenty of room in the suite. - Location . Lovely staff. N/A
- Danette (9/5): Great apartment within steps of Trevi fountain - This is an authentic apartment (not a hotel) in Rome within steps of the Trevi fountain! The host were very gracious and helpful. Read the details provided by the host, this is an apartment with a shared living room space. Our group had two rooms, and another couple had one room (we saw the other couple in passing once). However, each bedroom door locks for your privacy. We were able to walk to quite a few of the tourist destinations from the apartment. The car service provided to the airport was also a plus, as she picked us up right at the front door! The apartment is great! Just note there is no lift, and luggage has to be carried up and down stairs. This was not an issue for us but I could imagine some would find fault with this.
- Amanda (9/5): Beautiful apartment in perfect location - Beautiful property right around the corner from the Trevi Fountain which is incredibly busy, however the apartment is an oasis of calm. Many restaurants and bars close by. We walked to the Vatican City (around 30 minutes), the Colosseum (22 mins) and the Pantheon (5 mins).
The owners were so helpful and friendly, helping us other transfers from the airport and also to the bus station.
Breakfast was good and brought to the rooms, mostly sweet items. Nothing. Could have done e with a bigger waste paper bin in the rooms.
- Nana (7/5): Acceptable but not luxury - It was in a very central location. The living room was nice and spacious. Comfortable couch. Attentive staff overall (easy to contact if you have a local phone). Lots of adorable nearby restaurants and eateries. Public laundrymat across the street. - Poor wifi connection in bedroom down the hallway
- No elevator
- No trash can in bedroom
- Not clear at time of booking that it is in fact not a real hotel but a sort of Airbnb
- No bathroom or bedroom door locks
- Can get a bit noisy given neighborhood
- Bedding was aged
- Jantima (9/5): Our stay is great! - Location is everything. The host is also attentive and responsive.
- Lauren (9/5): Perfect location - Location, family business, friendly owners, comfy bed. Bit noisy from restaurant outside. But I suppose it is in the centre of the city centre so expected.
- Melissa (8/5): Very good - The location Stairs were difficult with luggage you share the common areas with the two other rooms.
- Sean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fleming (7/5): Nice service, poor signing at street , should call it airBNB. - Booking.com has WRONG address and did not direct accurately. Too many Trevi hotels with similar names. Construction overhead was Super loud and 6:30 AM start with tools and nails and drilling concrete. Super awful last day.
- Louise (8/5): Very good - Location
Nicely furnitured That the living room of thr Suite was to share
- Carlos (10/5): Absolutely fantastic. First class. - Decoration and furniture, cleanness, services, location, personnel, everything. No lift in a second floor.
- Volkan (6/5): It was average - There was a share toilet and kitchen which I don’t like
- Chiaki (9/5): Superb - Historical and beautiful property and excellent location. During our second stay, I couldn’t find a hair dryer anywhere.
- Victoria (10/5): Comfortable, excellent location and incredible hosts! - Exceptional location and incredible help from hosts. Everything was excellent. There was nowhere to wash outside of en suites so it would be great to have a shower in the main bathroom.
- Chiaki (9/5): Superb - If there have been trash boxes in the rooms, it would be better.
- Geoffrey (9/5): A great base to explore Rome - Central location & helpfulness of staff Apartment above being renovated during our stay caused some noise in the mornings & during the day
- Juliana (10/5): Central, calm, very exclusive - Excellent location - very central and yet calm
Very comfortable beds
Reactive hosts
- Laz (7/5): Good -
- Sharon (9/5): The place to be in Rome! - The location is fantastic!
The rooms were spacious and we had everything we needed.
Brando (the host) was amazing, very helpful and hospitable.
Also loved the WhatsApp group that was created for ease of communicating. (This was a great idea!) Nothing.
- Alejandra (10/5): Excelente service , location, always replying quick to our txts. - Location is great! 100000/10 also very clean and good breakfast
- Richard (8/5): Stylish apartment near Trevi fountain. Comfortable, but better for couples. - Very stylish, comfortable and extremely well located. Breakfast was excellent. For a family, the two rooms are not connected - it is not a family suite, and makes it difficult for families with children. Had to wait outside for half an hour for host to arrive.
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rahul (1/5): My stay at Fontana Di Trevi luxury suite was an absolute nightmare - I regret to say that our recent stay at this property was horrendous. Despite the property owners' attempts to be helpful, there were several major issues that significantly impacted my experience.
Firstly, there was constant loud construction noise throughout the day, which made it impossible to relax or enjoy the room. This was a major disruption and not something I expected when booking my stay. We weren’t able to converse with each other with the noise and got headaches. And due construction, there were dust particles falling from ceiling through the day. This is something that you should never expect in any stay. Property owner acknowledged that the noise was too loud but failed to do anything. If construction was planned, then it is common practice to not list the property for stay on the those days.
Secondly, the hot water was not working properly. Despite the owners' efforts to address this, they were unable to fix the issue during my stay. This made my stay extremely uncomfortable.
Due to these issues, I had no choice but to cancel my stay early and find alternative accommodations incurring additional costs and immense inconvenience. The overall experience was far below acceptable standards. I strongly urge potential guests from reconsidering booking this property until these serious issues are addressed.
- Jay (9/5): Superb -
- Stein (9/5): It was perfect location for activities we wanted to do. Staff very friendly and helpful. - There was some construction early in the morning. Although we do not sleep late the noise started around 7am. Location
- Brett (10/5): We had an amazing stay in Rome and the position of this apartment makes everything very accessible and is very large by - Fantastic location 2 mins walk from Trevi Fountain and many other major sites. Beautiful apartment with high ceilings and very modern and spacious.
The hosts are lovely and very easy to contact with quick responses to all your needs. We were a family with 2 children under 10 so something to be aware is that the 2 private bedrooms were separated by a community living space. With our kids age, we couldn’t have them sleep in the 2nd room alone so we had to split up between the rooms. This is just more to be aware if you are a young family as it is not easily understood on the property description.
- Steven (9/5): Great for short stay however this is shared accomodation. Rooms are very good with common areas. - Breakfast was good. Located in a small discrete piazza with a good restaurant next door and a 4 min walk and you are at Trevi Fountain
- Michele (8/5): Great location. - Location is great. Staff is really nice.beds are comfortable. The description on booking led me to believe there were 2 full baths. I prob should have read closer because it was one full and one half. So needed to book another room last minute and spend more money. Prob my fault but it was confusing. The suite is one big apartment.
- Gordon (3/5): Poor -
- Jerome (9/5): Amazing location, beautiful apartment… be prepared to share with other guests. - The property is in the most amazing location and very well appointed We didn’t fully appreciate that some of the spaces are shared with other guests. As we were travelling with children, we didn’t went to leave them alone in room in a shared environment.
- Sergey (10/5): My stay at this hotel was an absolute delight from start to finish. Upon arrival, We were greeted warmly by the attentiv -
- Ernesto (10/5): Amazing place, location and staff! - Large, roomy, perfect location. Host was very hospitable and Christopher provided an amazing breakfast daily with cappuccino’s!
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sabrina (9/5): Superb -
- Ruth (5/5): The room was comfortable, but it was as described! No fountain view! - The apt was comfortable. I was told in the description I would have a fountain view purchasing a suite. No fountain view at all! The list said it had an elevator and no elevator. I paid for a fountain view and I didn’t get it, I am very disappointed, because the owner did not answer the phone because she didn’t speak English! I could not get into the building because I never got the code to the door another guest had to let me in.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location 2 mins from the fountain but still quiet. Hosts are very friendly, we booked our transfers with them too.
Fresh pastry delivered every morning and access to coffee, juice and milk in the shared kitchen.
- Amal (9/5): Superb -
- Krunal (4/5): Arrival was good, owner help us to get the taxi for our tour. However, we talked and agree for breakfast at 8AM but no o - Location It’s not the hotel
- Diana (10/5): Excellent location - Perfect location, 3 min walk to Trevi Fountain. Very clean and beautiful apartment. Transportation to airport was excellent and very helpful at 4 in the morning.
Highly recommend!
- Josip (10/5): Great place for staying in Rome - Everything was great - rooms, location, communication with hosts and staff, breakfast, transfer to airport.
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Darmanin (10/5): Exceptional - Needed Bins in the room and change in towels.
- Adri (10/5): Exceptional -
