Guest Reviews
- Orla (9/5): Great location, great apartment, very helpful and kind staff - Great location and very comfortable spacious living area, everything worked perfectly and the host was very helpful with anything we needed, they gave a list of local restaurants, bars, clubs, and activities which I haven’t received anywhere else and this is my 4th time in Italy Only complaint was the showers both couldn’t seem to stay at the same temperature and constantly went cold and then extremely hot.
- Stephen (10/5): Great place from which to explore Florence - The location of Ricasoli can't be beat. It is across the street from the Accademia and David, a couple of blocks away from the Duomo, and there are supermarkets and restaurants steps away. The apartment itself is spacious and clean, a good place to rent with a group (we had four people). Corso is a gracious host and he responded quickly to any questions we had. a few more towels would be good
- Ana (9/5): Great location - The location is great, but because you are so close to the Cathedral it can get noisy at night with tourists and the bells. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs and mosquito repellent too. As many places in Italy, you have to climb up stairs, so be sensible when packing your luggage.
- Christopher (8/5): It was great to be in such a central area, but even considering that benefit, the cost was high - Location was excellent. Main bedroom was a good size, second bedroom was quite small, third bedroom was not a bedroom but a bed on an open mezzanine floor. The kitchen had no coffee making machine. We had to pay 60 euros on arrival for city tax which had not been mentioned previously.
- Petrina (10/5): Beautiful appartment, well managed in a central location - I stayed here with my sister for a week, this appartment was perfect and is just as beautiful as the photos. The bed was comfortable (I like firmer matresses and this was perfect for me) the bedding is of good quality and clean. There are plenty of towels etc. and lots of blankets for cosying up on the sofa. The living room is spacious and comfortable.
The well-stocked kitchen is separate so you can close the door when you are cooking. There is a kettle for those who like tea, and for coffee lovers there is an italian steamer and a French press. There are so many little supermarkets (Conad, Carrefour) 2 minutes away from the accommodation it is easy to get supplies in.
The main bathroom is actually better than it looks in the photos, nice hot running water and very clean. There is even a convenient mini bathroom coming off the main bedroom which I wasnt aware of and was very handy. I found that the hair dryer plugs in better in this bathroom.
I loved hearing the bells from the catherdral over breakfast in the mornings! I especially appreciated being able to easily pop back to the appartment to rest in between visiting different things in town as it is so centrally located. I recommend going round the block to Shake café too if you fancy something healthy (smoothies, bowls) and a change of scene from pizza and ice cream, though there is plenty of that nearby too!
The person managing the appartment was absolutely wonderful, very easy to contact via WhatsApp and very quick to respond. Really friendly and helpful, made us both feel relaxed about our stay and gave us tips on all sorts of things. It was really easy to get to the appartment from the train station too. The appartment is opposite the building where the real statue of David is located, and just 3 minutes away from the catherdral. I loved the atmosphere (people talking and laughing, accordions playing etc.) but it also means there are street cleaners and deliveries early in the morning. You can hear all this from one side of the appartment (but not from the back bedroom). I slept just fine with ear plugs.
If you are visiting in the summer months maybe be aware of mosquitos, we noticed a few already in February.
Come prepared for the crowds and you'll have a great stay here!
- Paul (10/5): Excellent value and gracious host - Large and spacious. Excellent location 5 min walk at most to Duomo. Nice loft bed. Outstanding host with excellent communication. Very good value. Washing machine. It’s across the street from the Accademia museum so it can get noisy. The back bedroom is quiet. Some stair climbing. But neither is unusual for Europe
- Karen (10/5): Just spectacular! - Very spacious, clean, just a step away from the major sites ! Corso is the best host ever!!!!! He even went beyond that and helped us with our luggage! There’s a bottle of wine waiting in the fridge 🤗
- Paul (5/5): Passable - Host was great and good location. Apartment is outdated. Only 2 portable a/c units for the entire apartment. Not sufficient to cool entire apartment.
Bathroom that only shows a sink is not a full bathroom. It has a shower but no shower stall or tub or curtain.
King size bed was two single beds pushed together. So you have a seam in the middle of the king size bed.
Price was very high for an average apartment.
- Nataliya (10/5): Amazing apartment in the middle of wonderful city! - The apartment is even better than in the description)
It is quite big and we liked the design very much.
It has everything needed in the kitchen, washing machine and a hairdryer.
The location is amazing! Just few steps from Duomo, and with Academy Gallery in front, right in the heart of the city, you don’t need a car - everything interesting is in close walking distance.
The area seems to be safe.
The only thing is car parking- 30€ per day)
The host was amazingly hospitable and helpful.
It was a fantastic stay.
We totally recommend this apartment and would be happy to come back to this beautiful place.
