• Louise (4/5): - Excellent support from hosts. Excellent Location 62 stairs to reach top floor apartment. This apartment is suitable for a couple only bearing in mind bathroom arrangement which was en suite to the single bedroom. Not suitable for those with limited mobility. We were aware that there was no lift.

• Gareth (7/5): Superbly well located apartment in the heart of the old town, but some challenges to be aware of. - The location is absolutely fabulous - right in the heart of Girona old town and on the door step of restaurants, cafes, bars and historical sites, especially for Game of Thrones fans!! There are several points to be aware of with this apartment. 1) There's a very steep, winding staircase and it's on the fourth floor. We managed, including carrying bikes up the stairs, but it may be challenging for some. 2) The partition walls in the apartment are extremely thin - really no more than a slip of plasterboard - so there's not much privacy at all. 3) The one bathroom is essentially in the single bedroom, and the walls do not even go up to the ceiling, so the person using the single bed may be unhappily aware of everything that's going on in the bathroom - not ideal for bathroom visits during the night!! 4) There are very low beams in the double room, meaning frequent bangs on the head. 5) The sofa bed is okay, but on our arrival we discovered that no bedding was provided automatically, so for the first night it was think blankets taken from other beds. We did then get bedding the next day, although it didn't include a duvet, so make sure to arrange this in advance if you plan to use the sofa bed.

• Helen (8/5): Great location character property great to go back drink and lunch and then go out again . - Location was great right in center and river view . Good provision of kitchen equipment and great cold fridge and washing machine. Just be aware on top floor so several flights of stairs and small staircase fine for cabin bags and daily shop but if not fully mobile and full-size suitcase would struggle

• Nessa (4/5): If only we had known - Apartment was clean and tidy, and beds were comfortable . We arrived early, and apartment was not ready, we had asked for an early check-in but was not available, we had 6 hours in girona before apartment was ready. We were told we would receive a text message to say the apartment was ready but none came. We went back to the office at 3.30 and the apartment was then ready. We were told the apartment was 5 minutes walk. We walked in the direction and finally found the place but there was nothing on the front door. At that stage it would extremely helpful if somebody had walked with us to the apartment , we were totally lost and exhausted. We knew there was no lift but what we did not know was that the apartment had 63 steep steps up a narrow hallway to get to the apartment. If we had know this we would not have booked. The lights would not work for us. So we headed up in the dark. There were no numbers on the doors and we ended up knocking on doors to find it. Apartment was clean and tidy. However there a couple of issues: 1. There were 2 steps from living room to kitchen area. These need to be marked with some form of liggts or fluorescent tape as in the dark you cannot see them and one could easily fall. 2. The only bathroom is off the small single room. The wall is a partition wall and does not go the full way up, which means that anybody wishing to use the bathroom, particularly at night, wakes up whoever is asleep in the small bedroom. 3. The apartment is on the top floor and it's only access are the 63 stairs up. If there was a fire in the building, there is no way out and this is a major health risk.
