• Fuca (9/5): - La amabilidad de la familia es increíble. Reynaldo y su familia ofrecen todos los servicios pedidos con mucha atención (cómoda, agua, talleres, etc) Muchas gracias! Nota: el viaje en lancha desde la boca del río Amacayacú (con el río Amazonas) hasta la comunidad cuesta alrededor de 35mil pesos. Calculen ese monto al coste. Hagan preguntas concretas para obtener la buena información.
• Michal (9/5): Familia muy acogedora y entorno auténtico en la Amazonía colombiana. Sin embargo, la caza ha reducido mucho la fauna loc - La familia que gestiona el hostal es muy acogedora, amable y trabajadora. Me sentí muy bien recibido. El lugar tiene una ubicación única, en el corazón del Amazonas colombiano, con un ambiente tranquilo y auténtico. Las comidas fueron sencillas pero sabrosas, y el entorno tiene un gran potencial para el ecoturismo. Desafortunadamente, en los alrededores del pueblo se nota la falta de animales silvestres debido a la caza frecuente. Como fotógrafo de naturaleza vine con la ilusión de observar y fotografiar fauna local como caimanes, agutíes, capibaras, monos o delfines de río, pero muchas de estas especies ya casi no se ven cerca del pueblo. Comprendo que la caza ha sido por generaciones una forma de alimentación y vida para la comunidad. Pero cuando se hace sin límites, con el tiempo desaparecen los animales. Eso no solo afecta la naturaleza, sino también las oportunidades de ingresos para las familias. Muchos visitantes extranjeros vienen con interés de ver animales en libertad – si no los encuentran, dejan de venir, y con eso se pierde una fuente de ingreso estable. Cuidar la fauna no significa dejar de cazar por completo, sino hacerlo con respeto, en equilibrio con la naturaleza. Si se protegen los animales, San Martín puede atraer más turismo responsable, generar empleo y oportunidades para los jóvenes Tikuna, y a la vez conservar su riqueza cultural y natural.
• Lydia (10/5): Exceptional - We spent three wonderful days with Daniel and his family in the beautiful village of San Martín de Amacayacu. The place is easily accessible by speedboat from either Leticia or Puerto Nariño. The boat drops you off at a riverside point where Daniel came to meet us personally. We highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for simple yet comfortable accommodation, delicious home-cooked meals, and a warm, welcoming family atmosphere. A variety of activities are available, including day and night hikes, workshops, and excursions — all of which can be arranged on-site. We especially enjoyed the day hike, the basket-weaving workshop, and a trip to see the “lazy bears” on the Peruvian side — all of which we would highly recommend. Daniel was a fantastic host: attentive, helpful, and always available to answer questions and accommodate our needs. Thank you so much for a memorable stay!

• Jolien (10/5): Exceptional - Good place to stay. It's in the village of San Martin, gives you a more local insight. Very friendly staff, they organize tours in the surroundings and activities in the village. They offer meals too. Would recommend!
• Arthur (10/5): Perfect local family guesthouse - Small guesthouse run by a local Tikuna family. Simple and beautiful, as you would wish for a stay in San Martin. Very welcoming family, whi taught me a lot about the village and the region.
• Elisabeth (10/5): Great hosts, delicious food and clean, comfortable rooms. - The family who run the hostal are so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it.
