• Wendy (8/5): Great location for a few days Barcelona! - Great location, spacious, clean rooms and close to public transportation. A walk to la Familia Sagrada took us about an hour. The hotel hallway had a bad smell.
• Louise (8/5): Good but needs some improvements - The blinds outside the windows, that work via the cord strip beside each window, work very well to block out the light at night time, so it was very dark for sleeping which was good. The location is in a quiet area of Barcelona so I felt safe. The sofa and bed were comfortable. The lighting is bad. In the living room, there is enough light near the table and the sofa but the edges of the room feel very dark. In the bedroom the only light is the tiny bedside lamps and a very weak standing lamp (no wall lights or ceiling lights) so I could not see into my suitcase after the sun went down. I moved the tall lamp in from the living room to get more light in the bedroom, but it's still gloomy. Only one available working wall socket in the living room, the one by the sofa doesn't work. Kitchen has knives, cooking implements and pots and pans, a cooktop and a microwave and two fridges, but no chopping boards. The kitchen has almost no work surface space to chop stuff on. No extra bags for the rubbish bin even though I stayed for two weeks. Shower head is too heavy, doesn't stay upright, you have to hold it instead of standing underneath it. The bidet was not clean. The living room walls are tired and have holes in the wallpaper and a few dents in the walls. The bedroom window has locks but the locks don't work because the window frame is old and does not fit properly. The accommodation did not have a book of instructions, so I had to email the hosts to find out how to use the wifi. The vegetables I put on the right hand side middle shelf of the refrigerator froze. I stayed for 2 weeks. First Sunday there were building site noises from 8.30am as a big crane arrived and extended over the hotel. On Saturday night there were still people nearby making noise at 1.30am. Second Friday here people from apartment opposite had a party outside from 8.30pm till after 1am, and then the flat next door had the TV on really loud from 8.45am the following morning and again in the evening. Day 13 had someone doing DIY in the flats opposite at 10.30pm. Hosts warned me 12 hrs before that the hotel heating would be off for a day but they could not get info from the hotel about the time when the heating would be switched off and switched back on.
